  1. Or its a vocal minority, who he will likely be able to only convince a few after he wins a Super Bowl.
  2. It was an attempt at humor at how archaic the systems were 30 years ago compared to today.
  3. I'll put this here, I heard Brett Favre talking on NFL radio a couple days ago about when he was a young QB (freshman) at So. Miss. He said" my coach was explaining to me something about a play we were gonna run (this is 30 years ago), and I asked him what do we do if they blitz? he said that's when you as QB need to make something happen!"LMAO I have imagined Daboll and Josh having this conversation in 2019!
  4. Using the home stadium passer rating adjustment I've come up with these are some of the guys who are hurt by playing half their games where they do: Daniel Jones, Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Andy Dalton, Sam Darnold, Pat Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. They're passer rating needs to be adjusted upward 5-10 pts. These are some of the guys who benefit from where they play half their games and should be adjusted downward for comparison's sake: Dak Prescott, Gardner Minshew, Dree Brees, DeShaun Watson, Kyler Murray, Phillip Rivers, Jared Goff, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. As to Josh Allen he is situated at number 14 in QBR after the adjustment, right between Dak Prescott and DeShaun Watson. The new top 2 become Pat Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. Ryan Fitzpatrick becomes the new #32.
  5. There needs to be a park adjustment (baseball term)for games played at New ERA or any other stadium. Playing in the Super Dome or Indy vs the winds at New Era or the Meadowlands is like hitting at Coors Field vs a pitchers park. I did something a few weeks back that showed not just Josh Allen, but the opposing QBs ratings are impacted by the the cold, wind and rain in Buffalo vs. their home stadiums. This is real because both teams are impacted vs. playing in opposition venues for half its game.
  6. Looks pretty good at first glance. The only quibble Is having Jameis Winston as high as he is, the 30 interceptions ring loudly to me.
  7. Doug " punt from the 35" Marrone. SMDH
  8. What's wrong with being a homer? The question was who do you want on Saturday! Josh Allen will lead us to a win.
  9. Hopkins must be reading PFF-he now realizes he's going against a mediocre CB.
  10. Kim would be at the top of my list! We could even do it at my place while Terry is away on business.
  11. You shouldn't be using what might have happened when picking an ALL PRO team. All Pro is descriptive, what happened that season. Sorry doesn't pass the smell test as usual.
  12. Funny how everyone on both teams is suddenly healthy or is it they want the opponent to have to prepare for them.
  13. That is true, but we are talking about making Roster decisions based on probability of success.
  14. One thing I noticed looking at the league stats is the Texans give up next to nothing in both the Punt and Kickoff Returns. Rank 1st and second. Return game may not make much difference.
  15. SMH you'd think we have to win in spite of our coaching staff. 30-17 Bills.
  16. I give him a B, the improvement in passer rating is nothing to sneeze at it. And, after the first 4 games he improved even more. Sky's the limit for the kid! I think anything below C+ or above B+ is an outlier.
  17. Who they bringing in Urban, Lincoln Riley or a pro guy. Won't be Kris Richard.
  18. Not getting all the Eagles love, I'm happy to go on record and say they've been inconsistent this year and give me little faith. I think they drop a turd of a game in the playoffs and ruin the watching experience of a playoff game. I like the Bills in the AFC and Seahawks in the NFC as dark horses because of their playmaking QBs and coaching.
  19. Excellent coach, he would be unemployed maybe a minute. NY Giants would love him.
  20. Foster 0 catches and 4 targets, can't even get the ball in a game like this. Perhaps the biggest mystery of the season after last year. smh
  21. I think they did a pretty good job given the limited number of spots. Lots of recency bias on here, all the best players in the last 20 years. It' s a 100 year anniversary gotta have all the eras represented. The fact that some think Unitas needs an argument is laughable, nobody I've seen threw the ball any better than Marino. Aaron Rodgers not even on it yet, and switch Brady and Brees teams and its Brees.
  22. You need a good excuse to get out of the house for awhile. I recommend several hours.
