  1. If they are able to bring in Kugler, than signing Matt Paradis will be a done deal, and he will most likely give us the edge due to familiarity with Kugler. We need Paradis.
  2. Stay far far away. Selfish WR who will be turning 31 next season. Alienated his team mates. Locker room cancer. It’s all about him. Ill pass.
  3. 40 times of note Larry Fitzgerald. 4.63 Jerry Rice. 4.71 Anquan Boldin 4.71 https://www.thesportster.com/football/nfl-players-with-slow-40-yard-dash-times/
  4. Great signing, yet I don't see this as an all in one fix. This is just a piece. Bills need alot of help and if it means throwing some stuff against a wall to see what sticks so be it. Still expect a WR drafted early and another FA signing of significance. Focus will be on Oline though. Hope Beane was watching the Indy mauling.
  5. If it were 2018 with all the QB's we'd be in line to get a great DL player with all the talent in this year's draft. But with lack of QB's and teams needing one those guys will get snatched up pretty quick.
  6. OLB is definitely a need with Alexander playing maybe one more year. The trio of Milano, Edmunds, and Allen would solidify the Bills LB core as one of the best in the league for years. However, I don't see Allen lasting to 9. He's a top 5 guy, and with all the needs on the offensive side of the ball, I don't anticipate Beane trading up that far and giving up that much capital to get him. Rather sit at 9 or trade down and get an OL or WR.
  7. Another player I would like to see Beane take a shot at is Jared Cook. The Raiders were horrible. Yet at 31 years old he caught 68 receptions for almost 900 yards and 6 TD's. More importantly, he caught over 67% of the balls thrown at him. He would bring veteran leadership into the locker room also. He just came off a 2 year $10 million deal. Can probably sign him to something similar and draft a TE to groom
  8. You can't blame Beane for the Benjamin deal. In the 8 games in Carolina prior to being acquired, Benjamin was on track for potentially 1000 yards and had a catch % of 62.7. In 2018, his catch % dropped to 37.1, which ranked him 119th out of all the receivers with at least 43 targets. Yes, 119th. I didn't even know there were that many receivers with at least 43 targets in the league. But Benjamin finished 119 out of 121. He just checked out. Tough to blame Beane for that one.
  9. I really believe it was more important to get us out of cap purgatory and develop the younger players.. We had too many bad contracts holding us back. Honestly the only mistake they made was not bringing in a solid QB to start ahead (or backup) Allen. If we didn't have to deal with Peterman or Anderson were probably looking at 8-8 or even 9-7. I'm excited that we have a coach the players love and respect, former players and coaches respect the heck out of, finally a franchise QB. A number 1 defense. $90 million in cap space and a ton of picks. I'm more excited for this off season than I was for the season.
  10. There are other FA's available that won't cost us draft capital. With Beane, a 2nd rounder is a solid starter. I personally think we should go after Tyrell Williams. He has the height (6'4) and the speed to be a deep threat. Does a great job snatching the ball out of the air. He is only 26. Add him to Zay Jones, Robert Foster, McKenzie and draft a WR in round 1 or 2, and we're good.
  11. I'm sure they will check in on his status in mini camp in April. If he is in great shape and spent the off season working on what they talked about, they'll extend him.
  12. Beane didn't give Castillo much to work with, but still our OL was horrendous. Regardless of talent there is no way we should be THAT bad.
  13. Just posted in another thread I see us going after Tevin Coleman. 25 years old. Fast and multi dimensional. Huge weapon catching the ball out of backfield. We continue to develop Marcus Murphy depth would be: Shady - Upgraded OL and some receiving weapons will do wonders for his numbers Ivory- Straight ahead runner that can start and carry the load Coleman- Can run between the tackles and catch ball out of backfield. Daboll can line up in slot as well. Super fast. Murphy- Continues to develop. Will benefit like Shady w/ improved OL. Can also catch out of backfield. PS: Ford/UDFA RB
  14. Not sold with taking a one dimensional RB in the 2nd round. Especially w/ a deep WR draft and the need for OL. I can foresee us taking a RB in 4th or later. Honestly I also see us not drafting a RB and going after Tevin Coleman who is only 25 and will cost around $5 million per. Our depth would be: Shady Coleman Ivory Murphy PS: Keith Ford/UDFA RB Wrap it up.
  15. Dumb move by Jags. Good luck getting any big time FA's with GTD money to come play for you.
  16. I agree with this. IT's not like we were an offense juggernaut at 6-10. And honestly I don't think losing Frazier would be earth shattering, considering that McD took over play calling after getting trounced the first 6 quarters of the year. That being said I don't think Frazier will go anywhere either. The league knows Frazier wasn't the sole reason our defense was tops in the league. I think this year we'll be safe. If we improve our talent and our offense explodes in 2019, then definitely Daboll will be on many team's radar.
  17. The Steelers were the only team who didn't make the playoffs that had a decent chance to do some damage. They were a PI call in NO away from making a run. Browns are up and coming, yes. But SB contenders? If they continue to trend up in a few years you might be able to say that. With Mayfield at QB and Dorsey at GM, odds of that happening are better than most.
  18. I would trade a 2nd and 4th for Julio Jones. Coming off a career year, he is 29 and still has 2 years left on his deal at $13 million per year. He would definitely bring a culture change to our WR room. At 29, it would be tough to trade a 1st for him (especially a top 10), because you would potentially giving away the next franchise player for a 2 year rental. I know we are desperate for WR help and there are people on this board that would trade away their first born for Julio Jones. But giving away your future for a couple years has to be measured.
  19. If it was 2015 the answer would be yes. 2018, not for a 2nd and 4th. He'll be 31 when the season kicks off next year and has missed at least 6 games in two of the last three seasons.; 17 and 18 were his worst yards per game average since his rookie year. Plus he has a cap hit of over $15 million at 31 years old and is in the last year of his deal. He'll be a rental. If anything we would be giving Cincy a break by taking on his contract. Considering the Bengals record over the last few years with him at a younger age, I can't see them valuing him that much now. I'm thinking we could get him for a 6th rounder, still drafting a number 1 in 2019 draft. He'll be in the room with our young guys teaching them how to be pros and work ethic. He'll probably contribute more that way than on the field.
  20. WOW. Talk about cleaning house. Although Quinn keeps his job, to me 2019 will be a "prove it or lose it" year for Quinn.
  21. Say what you will about Fournette, but this is a dumb move by Jags. He wasn't suspended for PED's or flaking on a team meeting. He was suspended for (whether you agree with it or not) defending his teammate who was pushed by Shaq Lawson. And because of that your going to take $7 million out of his pocket? This is a bad look for a team that struggles in the first place to get quality FA's. I've never heard of a team doing this to a player for this reason, and if I"m a FA looking for a new team with GTD money, the last place I would consider signing onto is Jacksonville.
  22. I agree that Jones is a solid 2. I also believe Foster can be an electric option out of the slot. Bills need a true #1 to attract the double team and truly free these guys up. Also having a solid TE threat will alleviate that. It all comes down to finding that number 1
  23. I really like Coleman. He is lightening quick out of the backfield. I'd take him over Yeldon. I don't think we need both. Keeping in mind we still have Ivory and Murphy next year, I'm all for signing Coleman and cutting Shady. Then draft a RB in the 3-4 rounds. You can find a quality starting back in those rounds. Coleman Murphy Ivory Rookie Between giving Burns a shot, along with a UDFA and a street FA to compete, we'll be set.
  24. There are 14 DL and LB making $14-$22 mil per season There are 13 WR making $14-$17 mil per season There are 27 OL making $10-$16 mil per season. There are new multi-millionaires made every off season. There is no way we, as fans, can tell what the exact value is of players that were paid less during past seasons that are now going to command huge salaries. It's always been about what the market bears. Example, Matt Paradis made $2.9 mil last season. He is expected to be one of the top FA Centers available this off season, and I'm sure what he will command will be in the $10 mil plus range (6 Centers made $9 - $10.5 mil last season). $4 million in extra cap space can mean the difference between feeling comfortable spending $10 million on a guy vs. $14 million on a better player. All I'm saying is, sure Benjamin was bad. But so was Clay. And it makes business sense with everything considered to get rid of the guy who is on contact for two years first over the soon to be FA, so that when next year hits both are off your books.
  25. They can't. We only have $7.06 mil in cap space left after cutting Benjamin. Clay's dead cap is $13.5 million. Emotions aside, the better biz decision was to cut Clay this year and let KB walk in FA. So are Clay's, and he is on our books next year. KB isn't. Top WR's signing for $15 mil per season. Top DL signing for $15-20 mil. Top OL signing for $10-15 mil. $90 mil will go pretty quick.
