  1. Just think...last year he was an up and coming offensive mind when the Jags where racing through the playoffs. I call BS on this. Not his fault Fournette got tossed, which in my mind cost them the game. Also not his fault he has Bortles at QB who, when he loses his confidence, is the worst QB in the league. He'll get another shot somewhere, probably starting as a QB coach again. But tough break for a guy who really hasn't had a solid QB to team with since he came into the league as OC Flacco will be the Jags QB next year.
  2. It’s only one game but Barkley has shown thus far he can be depended on as a back up. Not sure about starter. Too early for that.
  3. I was thinking about that. Honestly, I think he just needs a fresh start. He'll probably end up on someone else's PS.
  4. Some team will sign him during the offseason and most likely he'll make their practice squad, where he belongs. He was never ready to start in this league, despite what McD said. But I can see a scenario down the road where he learns the game and becomes a decent backup. He just needs to learn the game and understand his weaknesses more. I can guarantee you there are other QB's on NFL rosters that would have produced the same results had they been put in Peterman's position and asked to start during their rookie/2nd year when they weren't ready. But they weren't, and they are still given the opportunity to sit the bench and learn But at this point in his career Peterman doesn't belong on a regular season roster. .
  5. I remember when everyone was up in arms over releasing Kerley. Yet he wasn't claimed or signed by any other team. Something was up there.
  6. halifrickinluya. Sorry Nate, wish ya the best. Just not in Buffalo.
  7. This team's offense is like watching paint dry. Painful to watch. That's the issue I have with this regime. You have a great defense, and you can't even put an offense on the field that can compete. It's a frickn' joke. We get down by more than two scores and you might as well head to the exits. This could have all been avoided if we would have had half a brain and actually signed a QB that can play competently in the NFL. Instead of McDermotts love affair with Peterman or Beane rushing out to sign some bum off the couch. That's what pisses me off about this whole thing. We have a great defense, and you can't even give your fans entertainment value thinking that our offense can compete if we allow more than 10 points. It's so infuriating. I was a big proponent of Beane and MCD, but they screwed this one up big time. And that crap "were young and we'll continue to grow" is BS. You can be young and lose, yet play an exciting and entertaining brand of football. Our offense is horrible, it's an insult to our defense. He can take his we'll continue to grow and shove it where the sun don't shine
  8. I sign him to the PS, and here is why. No team will be willing to touch him until some time passes and wounds can heal. From what I'm reading, this wasn't just about the arrest. Reports state he got into an altercation with a guest at the party, got into an altercation with security at the party, and had to get kicked out. The team's leadership group was upset that Kelly ruined a Halloween event that is held yearly and is made to strengthen comradery. That rubbed many of the players the wrong way, and it came across that allowing him back in the locker room would be a strain to the team. Like that one friend you stop hanging out with cuz he can't hold his liquor and acts like an idiot. So here is a 24 year old kid 1500 miles away from home gets drunk and makes a huge mistake that cost him his job. Got it. But there is a difference between being a dumb college kid and a dumb young adult. In my mind, there is only one team that makes sense for him to play for. That's Buffalo. If they do sign him to the PS, he will be back in his hometown. He will have a solid support system, including his uncle and many of his brothers who can be there and help keep him straight. You have a serious heart to heart with him and his family explaining what needs to be done and what is expected, and allow that family support system to see if he can make a difference. He will be made fully aware that this may be his last shot. Have his Uncle in the room. HIs father, mother. Team leadership group. He hadn't been read his final rites as a pro QB yet until today. From this point forward he only has one shot left. Why? Yes, it's because of the T word. Talent. He was touted as an early round prospect. He showed this past pre season that he has talent, more than probably what's on the roster outside of Josh Allen. Many slated him as the potential starter if they hadn't poured all that money into Keenum. You put the guy on the PS, a structured program, and surround him with his family and our leadership group who are there for him. Submerge him in our culture and way of doing things. Whether that's good enough, only he will decide. But for me, it's worth the risk..
  9. PFT talk reported yesterday that the Den/AZ game could spell the firing of either Joseph as HC or McCoy as OC, depending how the score went. Looks like McCoy got the short end of the stick.
  10. This isn't a smart trade. Hyde has been a stud for them, and they are now an injury to Chubb away from having a powerful running game stripped away from them with a rookie QB. All for a 5th round pick? Not worth it.
  11. Perhaps Kerner was showing Foster how to actually catch a football. I can't believe we wasted a roster spot on Foster instead of signing a QB week one to help mentor Allen. Makes no sense. Foster would have made PS all day. No one would have claimed him.
  12. Nathan Peterman is dead-last in QB rating with at-least 30 attempts. Josh Allen is second to last. So we have the two worst QB's in the league with at least 30 attempts.
  13. They are playing indoors, not Miami in September. IV? C'mon. How dehydrated can you get in Pre-game warmups?
  14. Dear Terry and Kim Pegula: Throughout the pre-season, there was much talk about our young roster, with the effort of our General Manager and Head Coach "doing everything we can to add to our football team where we deem fit." As the regular season progressed, we have witnessed a lot of bad football. Listed below are some of the reasons why: Lack of Depth and experience at QB Lack of Depth and experience at WR Lack of Depth and experience at OL Inability to know where to line up on offense Pre-snap penalties on top of pre-snap penalties. Horrible ST play It's obvious that your coach and FO felt that fortifying the QB position in case of injury or lack of production wasn't a priority (not signing a veteran until 1/3 of the way through the season). It's obvious that your coach and FO felt that, after last season, it was still acceptable to fill our roster with WRs who are nowhere near capable of separating from defenders, making pro catches, or making a play when needed. It's obvious that your coach and FO felt that after the loss of Glenn, Incognito, and Wood (3 main OL starters) that plugging in journeyman or inexperienced players would be "adequate." It's obvious that your coaches felt that teaching professional football players who make obscene amounts of money how to line up correctly on offense isn't anything close to a priority. Each game, when fans suffer through these unacceptable errors, the phrase 'Learning Moment' gets echoed time, and time, and time, and time again. Did I mention time, and time, and time again? We are line up wrong after converting a 3rd and long? Learning Moment. We hold on one of our rare 50 yard pass plays? Learning moment. We miss blocking assignments and watch our QB get killed? Learning moment. Wide receiver can't catch an easy ball? Learning moment. QB who we know doesn't have the arm strength to throw a sideline out and throws multiple pick-6's and wastes a great defensive game plan? Learning moment. Don't know where to line up? Learning moment So I have a suggestion for you. It's obvious that your coach and FO aren't interested (or capable...not sure which) of structuring the Buffalo Bills to make plays, not make obvious errors, or staff a team with players who are able to make football plays at certain positions on offense or ST. It's obvious that the inability to achieve the above means we will be witnessing substandard football for the remainder of the year. So in light of the fact that you admittedly are putting a substandard product on the field, I have an idea. You need to offer a "LEARNING MOMENT' discount; available for all Bills fans. You see, it's really simple. All season ticket holders receive a "LEARNING MOMENT" discount on season ticket package pricing. All single seat purchases also receive a "LEARNING MOMENT' discount. All concession stands also apply a "LEARNING MOMENT' discount to all purchases. Any Bills paraphernalia or items bought at Bills stores or NFL Website? "LEARNING MOMENT discount". Just apply "LRNMOM2018" discount code on all purchases and/or refunds. 15%...20%...30%. I'll let you figure that out. As you know, this could have all been avoided. If you would have just seen what everyone else in the world saw and realized that Nathan Peterman and Josh Allen were the worst QB depth on a Bills team since EJ Manuel and Jeff Tuel. That our WRs from last year weren't going to have a massive leap to "Pro Bowl" level in 12 months. That the loss of 3 key starters on the offensive line wasn't going to be replaced by journeymen or back ups. That coaching your offensive players to line up correctly from day one was kind of a big deal. But no, you didn't care about all that. It's all about learning moments. Fine. Since it's obvious that you are quite comfortable putting a substandard product on the field, we should be compensated accordingly. Learning moments are big in practice. Learning moments are big in pre-season. Not over, and over, and over again in real games where wins and losses matter, and your fans are paying you accordingly to suffer through those results. To your marketing team? Your welcome. My suggestion would be to have these discounts take effect immediately. Just like our realization that our team's offense is a shell of what you talked it up to be. Go Bills!
  15. Agholor is their starting WR and Warmack is their key backup G and would step in if Wisniewski gets hurt. No way they part with key components on a win now team. Only hope are draft picks and a fringe player like Wendell Smallwood.
  16. Ivory has had some good games for Buffalo, including the one McCoy sat. I also like Murphy who has looked great at times. If we can get a 2nd and 3rd for McCoy I'd say do it. As much as I love Shady, he's more of a east-west guy, and at 30 he doesn't have many years left in him. Those 2nd and 3rd rounders could be starters for our team for years to come. Beane has done well in the draft after the 1st round so I'm all for it. I also read that Tevin Coleman might be available from Falcons. He would give us some added value as a receiver out of the backfield and can line up as WR as well as RB. IF we could swing him for a 6th I'd be all for that. I think with McCoy gone, and having a backfield of Ivory, Murphy and Coleman that would give Josh ample weapons in the backfield to be successful.
  17. In his first four starts his rookie year, Roethlisberger had only one 200+ yard passing game, and threw 4 INT"s. That was with Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley sharing the backfield, and throwing to Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress. Safe to say that's more talent than what we have right now. It's just way to early to judge a player based on stats when he is learning the nuances of the NFL game. Josh Allen is going to be a stud in this league. Whether fans are patient enough to wait for it won't matter, because it's going to happen.
  18. That's the whole point McD is trying to make. This is a young team learning to grow. We don't have all the pieces around him yet. Right now our defense rules the roost. In time, with experience and better players, the offense will follow suit. Meantime, there is something to be said when your rookie QB goes into Minnesota and manhandles a Super Bowl favorite and then beats an undefeated team at home. Stats aside, as Al Davis said just win baby.
  19. Tyrod is a 7 year vet who has hit his ceiling potential-wise. Allen is a rookie with an inordinate amount of talent learning the pro QB game. Huge difference. Everyone is so caught up with stats it's crazy. Here is a guy who led the team to a first drive TD (granted it began in Titans territory...but how many times in the Tyrod era would that have resulted in a FG?). Also keep in mind that Titans hadn't allowed any first quarter points all year. Allen also led the team down the field in a game winning drive vs. a very tough defense. He made the plays when he had too. There were too many times when TT didn't do that. It's way to early to criticize Allen for not throwing the ball more, keeping in mind that his WR aren't anything to write home about. Let the guy get comfortable with the offense. and learn. Eventually he will begin to click, and with the help of upgrading the WR core, this offense will be much better.
  20. Anderson backed up Newton for seven years. I didn't see anyone worried about him taking the starting job from Newton. This is purely for mentoring. If Allen gets hurt, sure, Anderson might get playing time. But this isn't a situation where if Allen has one bad game he is going to get pulled. They only thing I would agree with was the Bills should have done this the minute they traded McCarron. I'm sure this isn't something that just popped on their radar today. This has been in the works for weeks. They should have just moved faster on it. But the point of the OP is how horrible Allen has played and how us moving up in the draft to pick him was a huge mistake, and talking about taking a QB next year. That's just idiocy at this point in his career. And for those who compare Allen to EJ....there is no comparison. Orton was brought in after an entire year with Jeff Tuel as EJ's back up. We are talking 5 games here. Again, should it have happened sooner? I would say yes. But keep in mind we have been having issues at CB depth and we've needed every roster spot ensuring we are covered in that area.
  21. Guy is a stud. Glad the Dolphins cut him. He is better than any of the back ups we had at DL.
  22. It won't be you. So thankfully taking another QB next year won't happen. Our rookie QB took us down the field in the final minutes when we needed a FG and won us the game. You are paying too much attention to stats. Our OL isn't anything to write home about and our WR are horrible. And this is all Allen's fault? I think Allen is remarkably poised for a rookie. When he came to the sideline on the GW drive he shrugged someone off like no big deal. He acts like anything but a rookie. My question to you is why didn't you write this after the Minnesota game when he completed 70% of his passes and was named AFC rookie of the week? Allen is going to have good games and bad games. Even the best QB's have them. It's about us winning the game. There are QB's that passed for 300 yards this week and lost. I'll take the W. And everyone is blowing this Derek Anderson thing out of proportion. He is coming in to mentor Allen, which is what he did with Cam Newton for 7 years. He isn't being brought in to take the QB job from Allen. Meanwhile TT and Fitz (2 former Bills QB's that everyone has been clamoring for) have both been benched. As you can plainly see, there is no panic in McD or Beane. They keep reiterating it's a young team and they will continue to grow and learn from their mistakes. Allen is still learning the QB position, and has made some amazing plays. The only one's panicking are some fans. Go find a Mahomes thread.
  23. Shady's career earnings are over $58 million. According to WGRZ, this golddigger actually has the gall to sue Shady for $50 million, or basically what he has earned over his career, over this BS. That's what Gold Diggers are like. They have no reason. They have no morals. They just go after the money. Like anyone is going to let her take all of Shady's career earnings away over a story that keeps changing? If Shady came to her today with $1 million she'd jump all over that. This chick is a joke, and a disgrace as a human being.
