  1. Funny thing is Soccer really isn't all that safer to play than football if it is at all to begin with. No helmet, or pads. They have some pretty nasty collisions in Soccer too.
  2. I agree, They have to earn the respect on the field with the teams they play against. Al Michael's is an announcers, and should not be making disrespectful comments like that. The Patriots have had other former Bills players in the past and none of them that I recall turned out that great for them so I don't get the value of him making a dumb comment like that especially in the first game of the season in the first half.
  3. Not true. Last night was GREAT! loved seeing the Patsies get spanked.
  4. It's the Jets, I have to say Bills 31 Jets 10. Bills start out with a FG. I think Shady rushes for at least 150 and TT throws for 250. Shady and Banyard get one rushing TD each. TT throws for one. Defense gets a few picks and one is a pick six. The Jets only touchdown comes in garbage time
  5. My prediction......The Patriots play Seattle in the Superbowl after beating the Bills in a close one for the AFC final. (can't believe I typed this with a straight face)
  6. wait...what??? That is one SERIOUSLY bold prediction.
  7. Because its football and it's the Bills. I can't help but watch. I have been watching the Bill's since I was about 8 years old (34 years) and I'm not going to stop now.
  8. I agree. I find the whole thing pretty amusing. People are calling the guy a douche like they actually know the guy and arguing over who the best QB has been since Kelly. for the most part, all we get to see of players are their "Football personalities" we don't get to know these guys personally and then they have the gull to call a guy a douche. As for who the best QB has been, statistics really don't mean squat. It's wins and losses that matter, and the FACT is he won MORE games than any other QB we have had in a single season. Was he a douche? maybe! The guy had talent and he was a gamer. What he didn't have was the size to go with that talent, but he still fought like hell to make it work, regardless of what team he was on. I have never met Doug, and I probably never will, but given some of the personal stuff they guy has gone through, the guy probably deserves a break on the douche-o-meter that everyone measuring him to. For f**k sake, let it go people. it was 15 years ago.
  9. I was thinking the same thing. With Edelman out for the year they are going to need a good\reliable receiver. He has show he appears to be both. He is the exact type of guy they like to put on their teams. If he gets cut, I would not be surprised if the Patsies pick him up and have that cheating f*@k Brady makes him look like Jerry Rice. I have to say, after watching some video footage on Rielly, The kid is looking more and more like Andre Reed. The kids got amazing hands and concentration. Some of those on his back catches we spectacular.
  10. I was wondering the Same thing. Does anyone know who the emergency QB is? What happens if Wenning goes down (God forbid) after Peterman is done for the night. Assuming he plays at all, which I think he will for at least a few series. Does Peterman go back in and risk injury or do you play the emergency QB?
  11. How is TT throwing when in concussion protocol?
  12. Might as well trade him if you can get something for him, especially since he was "fighting for a roster spot" as McD has been quoted as saying. If there was a good chance of cutting him, best to trade him and get something for him.
  13. I don't understand the "sky is falling" mentality. Tyrod has been decent during the seasons, enough to be top 10 in scoring anyway and had the 2nd best rushing. People seem to forget these games are not game planned at all. Peterman looks to have promise as well so he will be an okay stop gap now that Tyrod has a concussion. The defense is looking much better than last year as well. Will we win a lot of games? Who knows, but after the disaster Rex did to this team the last 2 years its going to take a year maybe 2 to get where we need to be before we are playoff competitive.
  14. I would have to agree with the many who said Marino had more talent. But Kelly was the better overall QB without a doubt. The only Stats that matter are the Wins and Losses. Kelly was a better field General than Marino, a total gamer. Many forget that Kelly was calling his own plays in the huddle, especially during the K-Gun Offense. They guy was a master at it. I was surprised that he never went into coaching QB's or the Offense because he had the skills to run one.
  15. I don't care how desperate a team is, no GM in his right mind is offering a first round pick along with a fourth and sixth. NEVER would happen. You might get an offer for third, fourth, and sixth but not a first rounder.
  16. Brandon Beane.....is that you?
  17. I have to agree with kdiggz and WideRightRevenge's logic here. The round you take a player has no bearing on his success. While I many not include Cousins in the list, I certainly agree with the point being made, and it works both ways. Look at Ryan Leif and many other high draft pick failures. Even if Perterman works out and really starts to develop, you still REALLY don't know what you have yet. And that is why you're still going to draft a QB high in the first round (hedging your bets as kdiggz said). If both turn into studs, you have great trade bait out of one of them.
  18. This will almost certainly NEVER happen. Peterman would have to light the 2nd stringers on fire to even have a shot to even get looked at as a number one and he is way to green for that. Could he go into the season as the 2nd string clipboard holder......maybe. But they would need to see some solid, solid work and consistency out of him through the rest of the preseason and even then being a rookie I just don't see that happening.
  19. These are all GOOD signs if you look at the history of the Bickering Bills of the 90's. Some of those guys were fighting and bickering on and off the field all the time. But when it came to Sunday, they were kicking a$$ and taking names. IT just shows their getting emotionally invested in the team and they are passionate about playing well. Unless someone pulls a knife or gun (God forbid) I'm not going to worry about something like this.
  20. Has to be Jerry Rice. They guy was an absolute beast on the field. Showed up every game, never took a rep off.
  21. Have to agree with this. It's one game against the three's. Yes he did some things right, but he also got some things wrong. If i were a betting man for next week, I would guess that Peterman is probably going to be with the two's, but only for evaluation purposes so coach can see what he can do with them. He defiantly has the arm with the gunslinger attitude from what of I saw of him trying to rifle in a few tight spots, but he needs to work on his footwork a bit and slow his game down a bit more. There were times where he made some really good decisions and other spots where he rushed a few.
  22. You are correct, but people like us are starting to become fewer and fewer. I am a Huge fan of football and love to watch the game being played but even at my "moderately" young age I am finding more and more people, especially men that just don't watch it. Either they have stopped because they have become less interested or just never were interested. I have a few newer friends that when I asked what they thought of the Bills latest news, told me they don't watch football and don't pay any attention to what it going on; I was shocked. I mean, come on, we're guys...and guys watch football right? Well, not so much anymore.
