Jeezus, I hate Q MAGA world...
  2. In season, Locked On the one I listen to almost daily. I agree that it can be a little dull at times...and it make me realize, you can overanalyze things too! I also listen to the Chris Simms "Unbuttoned" podcast when I can, to keep up with the rest of the league. I find him fairly entertaining to listen to
  3. I was at this game...it was a blast...but somehow, in typical Bills style of that time (the "close but no cigar" era of the drought) I was falbbergasted to walk out of the stadium with the Bills losing on a late field goal.
  4. I'm not afraid to say, I've always been pretty smitten with Mrs. P. Really sorry to hear what she is going through. During the playoffs a few seasons back, I was listening to a Bills podcast on youtube. After it was over, it played the Pod Squad podcast. I thought it was great. Made me love her even more! She has been the target of some ire amongst Sabres fans over the years. It always bugged me. My own sister, ironically enough, suffered a heart attack the same day of as the Damar Hamlin incident. She just got released from rehab on Monday. She too has suffered some memory loss, and is having some difficulty with verbalizing her thoughts, no issues with written communication. She has improved, docs think she has a strong chance of full recovery. This one really hits home. Hoping for a miracle for Kim
  5. I know most have been disgruntled with the coaching staff. I'm not as down on them as many, but I have always been a little frustrated with their reluctance to work other players in to the lineup...especially on offense. To my view, Shakir, Cook, Hines and McKenzie were all under-utilized this year. Not to mention all of the guys they have had stashed on the PS over the last few years that never saw any real action. How nice would it have been to have Isaiah Hodgins down the stretch? As the season went on, it was so evident that they needed some new energy in the offense...but the coaches never seemed willing to try anything different. We do...but solidifying the slot role is a pretty big priority, if we are going to be a passing team,
  6. I would be happy with Shakir and Beasley splitting time, maybe 60/40 in Shakirs favor. I'd be okay with Crowder too...but he's only had one complete season in the last five years. If it came down to choosing between Beasley and Crowder, I'd choose Beasley. Then, I would try to find another prospect in the draft, to eventually replace Beasley. I like McKenzie, but he has never really been able to seize his opportunity. I like the guy, but he was pretty disappointing this year. I'd be okay with moving on from him. All these guys should be relatively inexpensive.
  7. Super Bowl 12...ironically the Cowboys beat the Broncos
  8. One of those cliche's that is kind of meaningless. What exactly does it mean? He never really won anything...why does being "the best pure passer" make him a great QB...isn't the point of the game to win? Not saying Marino was a bum, but personally, I think he is one of the more overrated QB's in modern NFL history. A high volume passer who threw a lot more passes than most of his contemporaries.
  9. To hear Bills "mafia" talk, our favorite team is now a dumpster fire....why would they but a dumpster-fire on national tv, opening night?
  10. Sorry if it's beebn said alreadt, but I think part of the reason he hung on so long was that he offered teams a "freakish" array of unusual skills. I think some coaches saw him as a gadget or trick player. In just the last 10 years or so, NFL offenses have changed so much, across the board. Guys like Michael Vick are much more the norm now.
  11. Burrow was great tonight...I think he, and his teammates are a bit too cocky for their own good...but I'm not taking anything away from Burrows game. Maybe getting knocked down a peg will be good for them. I heard/read a lot of crap about how cocky and arrogant the Bills were... but the objective truth is, while it is a fact that our fan-base can be incredibly thin-skinned at times (don't question our QB,or say that we don't have the best team in the league even before a down is played), Bills players were never as cocky as that Bengals bunch. Going into this weekend, I couldn't really muster up any strong feeling about any of the teams left. The Bengals/Bills lovefest lasted about a second. While their team representatives said the right things, their players chirped pretty quickly. Normally, I would have rooted for the Bengals...but as the game progressed, I realized, my bitter old Bills heart wanted, more than anything, for the Bengals to lose, not necessarily for the Chiefs to win. Sports hate can really mess you up, can't it?
  12. Actually, the only one "pushing 80" is Sally Field at 76. The others are well past: Lilly Tomlin is 83, Jane Fonda is 85 and RIta Moreno is 91.
  13. All those who hated the idea of OBJ in a Bills uniform should be leary of Michael Thomas too. Not a good "team" guy.
  14. Watching, and re-watching the Bills defeat the 49'ers in Super Bowl LVII
  15. I think that "little boy exuberance" thing he does, where his voice cracks is a forced attempt to create a "signature" style. It is just awful...I don't think he did it 10 or 15 years ago.
  16. So were the fans who wanted Zay Jones "gone" right as well?
  17. Rumor has it that Davis is not a big fan of Carr. Though, like you say, it is the Raiders, so you never know. There was also a story earlier in the season that McDaniel's was likely safe, simply because Davis is broke, and can't afford to pay another coach, not to coach.
  18. Mike Tirico was on MSNBC earlier, and suggested it may be settled by win percentage.
  19. Yes...at some point they showed him, where you could see his face...
  20. Forgive me if this has been mentioned already. I wish I had DVR'd the game, but I swear, when Taron Johnson went down to injury (a dirty head blow by Hayden Hurst in my opinion, shocked that they didn't at least look at it) for some reason, when Joe Buck said that Hamlin was coming in, they briefly showed him coming off the sideline, putting his helmet on...he looked uncomfortable to me then. At the time, I just thought it was perhaps concern for Johnson..or knowing that he has become sort of a fan whipping boy over the last 6 weeks or so....I didn't think it was that unusual...but I noticed it immediately. It's not the kind of thing I would normally notice, it was just a brief shot. Maybe it was nothing.Did anyone else see this?
