  1. On the post-game show they said he played 18 snaps, fwiw. This thread reminds me of why I come here less and less over the years. People act as though they have never watched football before and have no idea what the ***** they are talking about, far more often than not. Last week McDermott had his "greatest win", his "signature win...this week he deserves to be fired. Get a grip "Bills mafia"! Today's loss was depressing, even if it isn't that huge of an upset, or that unfathomable. More than the L in the standings, losing Milano for the year is far more significant.
  2. Super groovy psychedelia... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcaWN3ZJnhs
  3. I have Youtube TV (no Sunday Ticket though) and I jumped ahead on the schedule, just to make sure...it will be on NFL Network.
  4. He's a giant douche, but I would have probably taken a chance on Wentz if I were them. I think Ryan is done...he looked truly awful his last two seasons
  5. Doesn't look like it is scheduled to show this week.
  6. I am not a Maddy Glab fan-boy, by any stretch. I find her hard to listen to, for an entire radio show. I say this, because after hearing her off and on over the last 4 years or so, I found her apology/excuse completely plausible. When I first heard the audio, it wasn't identified who the reporter was (it was from a national source), but I recognized her voice immediately. The way she said it, I really believe she was just trying to be funny, with a colleague. I can't even put into words this kind of humor, but I suspect we have all heard people talk like this, trying to be funny. I really didn't beleive that she meant what she said, literally. Her colleague was telling her that she should get an interview with Diggs (the most newsworthy Bill as of late) and she is telling her, in a funny way, that she wouldn't, because she doesn't have that kind of access to Diggs. Nobody does. It's like saying. "I'm going to ask my parents for $10,000 so I can by a guitar...my father will say "***** you, I'm not giving you money for a guitar" Even though I never heard my father use the F word, I say this to emphasize how opposed my father would be to this. The person I am relaying this to knows, my father didn't actually say "***** you" In other words, he speaks with the media, when he wants to...she (or other media members) don't go to him for interviews. She wasn't speaking to everyone, only one person...unfortunately for her, it got caught on an open mic, and everyone is makeing it into a bigger deal than it really should be. At the same time, I sympathize with Diggs indignation over the remarks. Because the world we live in now, it gives fuel to those who want to portray him as difficult. People like Florio are having an aneurysm, trying to drum up drama around Diggs. I do think Diggs is much more media savvy and aware of his image than many want to give him credit for. The national media types have been bending over backwards to paint a picture of him as being difficult, a cancer, a diva. etc etc. It would be a shame if this helped precipitate the Bills losing Diggs...and it would be sad if Glab lost her job...for this.
  7. I only heard the soundbite, but apparently on the "Manning Cast" , Peyton said that when he talked to Josh this week, Allen told him he is dertmined to cut down on turnovers, and play smarter...so, as the game wore on and the turnovers and blunders piled up, Peyton said "he lied to me."
  8. The only one who didn't embarrass themselves (tonight anyway) was Haley. What a hideous cast of characters.
  9. Ironically, after bitching for 25 years or so about not being able to get Sunday TIcket, now that I can (I even signed up for YoutubeTV), I am going to pass this year. I live in Texas...looking at the Bills schedule, assuming they are still a winning team this year, between primetime games, and Sunday afternoon high profile games, I think I will get to see anywhere from 10-12 Bills games without Sunday Ticket. I will go to the bar, for the other 5 or 6. I do subscribe to NFL+ ($99 for a year), and if I am understanding correctly, though you still can't watch game live, the y are including Red Zone with it. Not sure how much I would use Red Zone (I like to focus on one game at a time), but it's nice to have that option available, at no extra charge. To get Red Zone through YoutubeTV it is $10.99 a month.
  10. You know what I noticed re-watching, they never mention during the broadcast that it was the biggest comeback in NCAA history...like everyone was just caught up in the excitement of the game, and perhaps, technology wasn't as lightening fast back then, so they didn't know until after the game? Either way, it was a fun watch. I really liked Kosar, and it was fun seeing Reich being so mobile. Having only seen him in his NFL career, I always thought of him as a little more statuesque..
  11. Preseason football is like stems and seeds. The Big 10 network is currently showing a replay of Frank Reich leading the Maryland Terps over Bernie Kosar's Miami Hurricanes, 1984, It was the biggest comeback in NCAA history, I believe, until 2006. God game...much more entertaining than the presesaon games!
  12. I do believe that all the pre-season games are broadcast live on NFL+. Not the case for the regular season, but in the preseason only. If you don't have NFL+, NFL Network will show the game at 7am eastern Sunday Morning (Aug.13), and again Wednesday (Aug. 16th) at 4pm eastern. Personally, Saturday games suck for me, so though I will watch, it won't be live.
  13. Thanks...while I am not heading out there, trying to convince a buddy of mine to take his son. The kid loves the Bills...going to a game is a bit out of their budget...in some ways I think this might be even more fun for a 9 year old. We took him to a game back in 2021...he was excited to be there, but was kinda bored by the end, and it was pouring out.
  14. So, not to hijack this thread, because I know it is info about what happened on the practice field (I appreciate that), but can anyone who was there today tell me how accessible this is for kids? The last time I was at SJF was 2007 (Marv Levy was the GM) and it was super fan friendly, especially for kids. They had a schedule and tents set up for specific position groups to meet with the kids. As I recall, Xerox was out there, handing out programs, photos etc etc. I know a lot can change in 15 years...is it still set up for the kids?
  15. He certainly played a role Best of luck to him.
  16. Disagreeing with someone is not censoring or blocking them. These hearings are nothing but more subterfuge from desprate MAGAs. They found their rube in RFK Jr....a man with a skin as thin as DJT.
  17. I am old enough to remember when conservatives loved democracy and the constitution...
  18. I deal with this kind of thing every day. I let them in. There are some horrendous drivers out there...I'm not risking their, my or anyone else's life for someone's poor judgement. Not too long ago, I was moving, and had a truck full of stuff, on the interstate. I put my blinker on to get into the exit lane as soon as it is legal to switch lanes. (If only people would observe the laws about passing over a double white line!0 It was a bad traffic day. Not one ####### would let me in..,I ended up having to go to the next exit, and loop back around to my destination. There were plenty of opportunities for someone to let me in...I wasn't going to force it. Not worth the possible headaches. I will never understand why people treat their vehicles like weapons.
  19. I think Calvin Johnson is a worthy entrant into the HOF, but your point about TO is spot on. Perhaps the HOF wanted to throw poor, long suffering Lions fans A bone? Before Calvin was inducted, they had 21 players in the HOF...only one (Barry) had played for the Lions in the last 40 years, Curly Culp spent the final, forgettable, year of his HOF career as a Lion in 1981. Pretty slim pickings after that.
  20. I get it that sports are entertainment, and I understand why the sports leagues want their members to give the media access..but it really doesn't add anything to the games. It reaches the points of utter absurdity. Stories about stories written become stories. End of the day, the coaches, the players are human...they may say things that get misconstrued...people like Mike Florio just chomp at the bit for someone to mis-speak. Can't help but feel a little sorry for McDermott...he handled a situation the best way he saw, was asked a question while it was still a fluid situation...then him "needing to be fired" becomes the national narrative...Allen is stuck as the face of the franchise and will never be able to avoid the questions...media clowns wait for him to say something they can pounce on. And, for the better part of six months, these idiots play "connect the dots" and put words in Diggs mouth, when they really have no idea what may be bothering him. He's really the only one who can clarify this situation....
  21. Still pretty much the same #######s that have been posting here year after year, copy and pasting their tired BS. I'd think you would love it!
  22. That is cool. Highlights from this game are much harder to come by than the 1965 game. Thanks for posting!
