  1. "He Sack Me" "He Trade Me" "He Bench Me"
  2. I'll say it again to the cry-babies: Tom Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 draft. He sat the bench year 1 behind Drew Bledsoe. He was also injured and missed the 2008 season. He's been a starter for 16 NFL seasons. He's been in the super bowl 8 of those 16 seasons. His team has been behind by 10 or more points in the 4th qtr 7 times. The Patriots are 3-4 in those games. The rest of the NFL is 3-70 in those games. His main weapon Rob Gronkowski was out of yesterdays game. Julian Edelman has been out for the season. Yet again with a cast of no-name receivers he was 26 of 38 and 2 touchdowns. He's not a jerk either. Seems a nice guy, and very smart. Yea, he married a Victoria's secret super model but wouldnt you if you were Tom Brady ? You can hate the Patriots (and I do) but you just cannot ignore the greatness that is Tom Brady. Rather than root for him to be injured (like the poorly parented fans at TBD do), just enjoy the show. When your grand-child asks you what was Tom Brady like ? Will you say he was the best ever? Will you say he sucked but the refs made his career ? I wont. I'll tell that kid I was proud to watch the best QB ever in the history of the National Football League. For the 2 or 3 years this 40 year old man has left in his career I will admire his excellence and you should too. There will never be another like him. Rant over.
  3. I've watched every one...until last year. I tuned out. No way in hell am I going to watch a program geared for the "Dancing with the Stars" crowd. I am a football purist, not a media event type. The SB is a complete farce as the game itself is secondary.
  4. Rigged ? C'mon kids ! Nothing more than Patriot haters that have no appreciation for the greatness that is Tom Brady. He's been in the league 16 years, been in a SB 8 of them. In games down by 10 in 4th qtr he is 3-4. Rest of NFL, 3-70. He is the best QB in the history of the game. What will you say to your grand kids when they ask: What was Tom Brady like ? Will you say he was amazing ? Or will you say, he was only good because the refs made calls in his favor? Pathetic. His main weapon Gronkowski out of the game, Edelman out for season. Playing against the best pass defense in the league. Has no-name receivers and still pulls out the comeback victory. That was just another example historic greatness at the QB position. I hate the Patriots as much as anyone but for the 2-3 years Brady has left I will enjoy his greatness because there will never be another like him.
  5. This sentence is contradictory in and of itself. Oh, and I dont too excited about the opinions on a football chat board, nor should anyone.
  6. Never takes long for the negative nellies to spin some positive vibe into negative re-hash on this forum. Sigh. OP you are spot-on correct.
  7. Roger better hope ratings dont tank for that game as bad as they did for wildcard weekend which were down 13%. Gonna be some pissed marketeers.
  8. It wasnt obvious but it was indeed blatant. No ifs ands or buts about that hit before the ball got there. But I do agree it shouldnt have been a factor. You cannot expect to win playoff games with a CFL caliber QB.
  9. I envy his toughness and competitive nature. But as we've seen for 3 years now, he's just not good enough.
  10. Thanks for stopping in; and for the kind words. Excellent matchup. One team that has been in a drought since 1999 against another that has made playoffs just twice in that stretch. So two franchises that are very hungry. If both teams play at their best I've got to give the nod to Jax. But you never know. I think Blake is a wild card. He hasnt been real consistent. On our side I think Clay (TE) is a wild card. If he has a huge game and he might especially if Shady cant go. As mentioned above, the team that makes the fewest mistakes will probably be victorious. It'll be a fun watch for sure. Good luck and lets hope NOBODY gets injured. It ruins everything. I hope the Jags play a great game.......in a losing cause. LOL !
  11. We may be OK. Their D probaby wont stack the box without Shady in there . This opens up some other opportunities, TT draws, J. Webb plays, TE screens and such. We're going to be OK.
  12. ...and add to that the rookie signing of Tre White; you get the feeling our staff knows exactly what they are doing. I couldnt be happier.
  13. I'm wondering the same thing. Heck I've been rough on him all season long but he looked like a kid with poise today. I think we should draft one but I'd be fine with Tyrod staying on until whomever that is is good and ready. This is just the best damn day ever, isnt it ? Happy happy happy !
  14. Absolutely. In a league as boring as the NFL has gotten how could one not want to watch this kid ? People said the same about Flutie, and Fran Tarkenton before him. Hell I hope he is successful and ends up in the NFL. Put some "zip" back in watching the abortion the NFL has become. But then, I guess being a negative nellie know-it-all is what this site is all about....and I should just "fit in" and say he sux because I said so. LOL ! Go Johnny Football. Give us a reason to stay awake while watching football. He's probably better than any QB currently on our roster...when sober.
  15. Well, there are 10 other guys on the field and an ST coach. Easy to point a finger at Tate but who really knows what the problem is.
  16. Its the defense I'm worried about How Gronkowski gets open with no defender within 10 yards just baffles me no end. If we win it'll be because of something unorthodox, like turnovers, pick-six, punt return for TD.....something along those lines. They are better than us. But....they have to play the game.
  17. Thats a catch at every level of football except NFL. Was called a non-catch because someone made a rule. Someone can un-make a rule and should. The receivers being held to a different standard doesnt make sense. The reason he bobbled it at the end was because he had control in the first place and made a football move. If thats a running back, a QB or any other player the play is over once the ball breaks the plane and its a touchdown. Anyone else notice that not one Patriot argued it not being a catch ? They'd conceded as anyone with a pair of eyes that isnt a sheep would do. If that play were anywhere else on the field I'm betting hoodie wouldnt even have red-flagged it. Why does this rule exist in the first place ? Its hurting the game, just like the touchback rule Carr got screwed on in the late game. I am not a fan of either team but thats a pointless rule that detracts, not enhances the game.
  18. If he came back to Buffalo you guys would be saying he's the second coming of Dick Butkus. LMFAO !! Which ever way the wind blows is the way TBD sheep herd themselves. Entirely laughable.
