  1. Because its a 1.5 mil contract for 8 games and he is not in football shape. And..its only going to be 8 games if he doesnt get a concussion when he steps off the plane in Buffalo. I like Percy, but this deal makes me scratch my head and wonder what the folks making big money to make these deals are thinking. For Percy its only 2 words that matter: One Million. He will have little impact IMHO., and besides we have a QB that only completes 50% of his throws and many of those are dump-offs. Not crazy about the signing but as always I'd love to eat me some crow ! I'd prefer making a play on that kid from Cleve. Josh Gordon I think? Could be wrong on that, having a brain fart at the moment and besides its probably a mute point because we are very shaky at best at the QB position.
  2. I think once the season is out of hand it'd be good to play EJ. Give him another shot. Maybe even sooner if Tyrod continues his confusion at the position. Yea, EJ struggled before but we cant be certain that is still the case. He hasn't started in a while. Anyone remember Rich Gannon? He became quite effective after being in the league for some years. Not saying EJ will be great but I'd hate like hell to let him go and watch him blossom on another team. Whatever the case I just dont see Tyrod being a guy thats gonna take you to the promised land. The book is out on him and every DC in the league knows to force him to beat you through the air which he is not able to do in most games. His 4th qtr stats when behind by one score: 40% completion rate and a QBR of 50 in that situation so he's not making comebacks. Never thought I'd say it but I'd be OK with EJ getting another shot.
  3. Good find. Just heard this on the radio. They claimed its the 1st time in 30 years ? Football is broken. Prime time games......I tried to watch last night but the commercials did it in for me and I bailed. At least you can go back and forth if there is more than one game but not so in Prime time. I find the series more dramatic than (NFL)football. Not many beer commercials any more either it seems?
  4. Yes, very sorry John. Thats horrible. Heres to a quick and uneventful recovery for your pet.
  5. He's not horrible but, well he's just not very good. I like: -his atleticism Dont like: -His inconsistent accuracy -Very slow CPU speed He does show flashes of brilliance in rare occasions but REX, your job is toast if you dont pull the plug ASAP. I'd even cheer at EJ taking the reins at this point. He is accurate, athletic, but has an even slower CPU speed than Tyrod. We're basically screwed either way I guess.
  6. Very funny, and quite true !!
  7. C'mon guys. You're giving them too much credit with some of these predictions. Honestly doubt we win but I think it'll be by one score and not a blow-out. And...if some of our lesser known players step it up we could actually win.....right here at home. They (Pats) did not look all that sharp last week on the road against a decent team. Pats . 23 Bills . 16 Also predict Bellichick will be dry in his post game interview, and he wont be using a MS Tablet !!
  8. You aren't kidding. Lost my Dad to it. I wont even describe what that was like. Marty, all the best to you and yours.
  9. Sal Maiorano was saying earlier this week that in the 4th qtr when the Bills are within one score of taking the lead; that Tyrod has a 40% completion rate and a QB rating of 50. I dont know about EJ (he might be OK) but Tyrod has been unable to light it up when the teams back is against the wall. It likely isnt exclusively his fault. Play calling, route running, injuries etc. They all play a role. The problem with the OP's idea is there is only so much practice time and these 2 QB's splitting reps with the #1's would likely dilute their readiness for each opponent. Additionally, you also take the risk of creating controversy, locker room taking sides and a media that will throw nitrous on the fire. But, I wont pile on....... even though its the in-thing to do on this forum. The OP is simply asking a question. Nothing wrong with that. EDIT: very much agree with the quote below..I hate to say.....
  10. Agree. No game continuity for the reasons you mention. I'd add injuries to that too. I am enjoying College ball more than ever now. A much better product for the football purist...IMHO.
  11. Somewhat off-topic... But according to this, Network TV is taking it on the chin...PERIOD. snip..... NET ..THEN .. NOW NBC…2.8…2.5…-11% CBS…2.5…2.2…-12% ABC…2.1…1.8…-14% Fox…1.9…1.7…-11% CW…0.6…0.5…-17% http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/25/fall-tv-ratings
  12. Post of the month.
  13. Not true at all. I like him a lot. I route hard for him. I just call him Tie-Rod to be silly, thats all. Will "love" him once he shows me he can be an efficient and accurate pocket passer. I'm OK with Tyrod.
  14. I'm not convinced its an issue until Tie-Rod shows he can run an efficient passing game. I dont like our chances at all in this match-up. Hopefully The D and S-teams are the difference but I can picture Tie-Rod taking a large dump on the mid-field logo in this game. I hope he makes me eat major crow.
  15. The NFL will blame anything and everything and ignore the real reason. Team owners are starting to make noise. The advertisers are not far behind. Roger dug this hole and it'll be interesting to see if he does what needs to be done to correct it. Doesn't much matter its become an unwatchable product for me. Severe lack of continuity with constant commercials.
  16. If we were Niners fans we'd probably be saying the same about Tyrod, and Shady too. Sure, anything can happen but I'm not that concerned. Kaep is a back-up for a reason. To Blaine Gabbert. That should speak volumes and frankly Id take Rex with all his flaws over Chip any day. I think Chip is over-rated and will be a college coach again in a few years. Just my opinion thats all.
  17. I also believe this is a bigger hitter than originally thought as I'm hearing the same both at home and nationally. The trend so far has not reversed per Ben Maller on his Thursday night presentation.
  18. My wish is to see him get sacked hard and the sacker takes a knee for his sack dance. That'd be epic. I am not a fan of that oppressed millionaire.
  19. This one here has "garbage" written all over it. I wont be tuning in. It'll be commercial torture (like all games) and what appears to be a very unappealing match-up. I hope its a good game for those that tune in.
  20. Realists will not be tolerated !
  21. Thanks Ice Bowl and your take on the Rams/Bills is spot on. No such thing as an easy opponent in this league. Lets hope you guys are talking about a big win over the G-men.
  22. ....and so was Bellichick throwing down his tablet on the sideline after Shadys' TD. Priceless...and rare.
  23. -The whole O-line except Richie, only due to penalties -The whole defense -Shady -Zach freakin Brown -Robert Woods I'm sure this is a crappy list. Whaddayou guys think ?
