I thought driving with some guns in the car and a beer between your legs was a requirement in Texas. Clearly a bad move by Oliver and a black mark on the Bills offseason. I want it to be understood I do not condone what Oliver did, and he should get his due puishment. With that said, I have a feeling Ed will use this experience going forward. He handled the arrest very calmly and professionally (unlike so many athletes). He'll learn from this and I doubt he repeats it.

I received a wrapped, individual disposable mask, with my takeout Thai food order last night. It seems as though there are many more masks, of all types, available. A good friend of mine is the GM of the Maid of the Mist retail gift shops. This year they are moving to new boats, completely unlike the old classic ones. So most of the merchandise needs to be redesigned and remanufactured. Guess what isn't readily available. T shirts! Seems the high volume manufacturers have shifted their production of shirts to masks.

RIP Out of respect I will hold my thoughts on her former husband, John Y Brown Jr. It isn't Phyllis' fault.

I would hope Cody makes the same kind of progress as Josh in year 2. BTW, I definately expect Allen to make further progress this year, and next year---and perhaps for a couple of additional years. This year's progress might not be quite as dramatic, but as long as he is making progress---tightening up his game, getting the deep throw back, etc, it's very good news.

Pretty sure those rankings were Post Combine. Perhaps I'm wrong. I was hearing draft analysts say he was ranked higher among backs, but took a big hit after his combine performance. Maybe "dropped like a rock" was a bit of hyperbole. But Beane certainly didn't expect him to be there when the Bills picked, or so he says. I think a good combine would have almost assured he would not.

How many NFL starting QBs do you think would do that? Brady? Don't make me laugh. The truth is, the coaches don't want the QB to do that kind of stuff too often. So, no, I don't think Cam or any QB loses credibility for stuff like that. Not if they perform at their jobs. Now, ask me if I think Josh gets a boost of respect from his fellow coaches (and his coaches, albeit perhaps reluctantly)? Then I'd say HELL YES! It isn't necessary to disparage another to praise someone.

First rule of a poll (even a completely useless, non scientific poll like this): The response choices should cover ALL possible responses. There is a big gap between "top 10" and the bottom half. What is he's terrific and gets re-signed but is about the 12th best in the NFL? In a period where there are generally great QBs that could still be considered VERY good. In a time where the NFL's QBs are pretty bad, well that isn't very good.

Honestly I doubt this is an isolated situation. I suspect owners/coaches find a way to compensate players who get fined, if they are OK with what they did/want to encourage it more. I also suspect Kraft has found a way to compensate Brady over the years for taking "team friendly" deals. But I have no evidence of it. But with that said, all Harrison said was, he got an envelope. We can infer it was full of cash, but he never said it was cash (at least from the quotes I have read). To admit it was cash would be stupid, no? Did he declare it on his taxes or write off the fine?

I haven't seen hand sanitizer in a store in a couple months, until today. A small liquor store had a box of 6oz (or 8oz) of basic stuff for $10 a bottle. I bit the bullet and picked one up. I only really need it for the car and I had a squirt left on the bottle I already had. I also keep hand cleaner, paper towels and a bottle of water in the car, just in case.

For quite some time Mike has been saying he is not interested in fighting again as he doesn't like who he is when he is fighting. With respect to the "comeback" he's said he might do charity events and such. I think he's mostly doing it to get back into shape and kick up some media attention.

Try a beauty supply store. My local shop had shelves of them. Latex (or nitrile) exam gloves.

One of my favorite sandwiches as well (minus the onions and mushrooms). If I have really sharp provolone, I might add a thin slice of that, as well. And now that I think about it, since there are zero decent beef on wecks down here, a homemade one is one of my favorites. Thought it's a bit more work than I typically want to to take on for a sandwich on a typical day. Still every couple months, I just have to have one.

My mother is in assisted living and we are not allowed in to visit. Very sad. But only for my sister and me. Mom suffers from end stage Alzheimer's and is in a state just barely north of "vegetative". Still it would be nice to see her.

Many things could have happened here. But since Farve says he is giving back the money, how can some think he never got the money in the first place? How can you give back what you don't have?
