Here's the other one for reference. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/11/15/9740760/odell-beckham-touchdown-catch-giants-patriots-referee-controversy

So would you say the season is over now? Before Halloween?
What a Tuel replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah it haunts me right now. It isn't the end of the world, but I would be much more comfortable at 6-3 haha. -

I think it is safe to be optimistic, so long as Tyrod stays healthy. If he played the Jaguars game, we would be 6-3, and only likely need 3 of 7 games to make the playoffs. Now we need 4 of 7. This place will likely melt down again after the Pats game, but I'm hoping we put up a fight in primetime. We have the tiebreaker against the Jets for now. Next tie breaker if we split is divisional record which we are 3-1 right now. They are 1-2. Tie breaker for conference opponents is conference record and Pittsburgh is 2-4 in conference and Oakland is 4-3. We are 5-3 in conference. KC and Houston are big time games we can't drop. -
I really shouldn't fall for it. I should be doing something more productive haha. BTW I love the name change and pic.

Let's project DeAndre Hopkins based on half of his games played (like Watkins). Hmmm 435 yards and 3 tds. What does Sammy have? 329 yards and 3 tds. Damn what a bust. But wait a minute looking at the targets, Hopkins has 57 in half of his games and Sammy has 32.

Last year as a rookie, he was ranked 24th in WR rankings (by yards) with Orton at QB. You aren't being ridiculed because we are a bunch of apologists, you are being ridiculed because you are passive aggressively attacking Sammy based on games he couldn't play. Criticize the injury? fine whatever, but call him out and say hes no better than a top 40 WR based on non-performances this season when he was 24th according to your own ranking his rookie year is absurd and ridiculous. Then to top it all off you waffle back and forth between blaming the coaches for utilization of him, and then flip to him being no better if he was healthy and on the Browns, as if he couldn't beat Travis Benjamin, and Gary Barnidge (TE but your choice not mine) for the WR1 spot.

Just pulled it up and watched again. Maybe. It's hard to say. If he kept running under it I think it would've put him right in front of Revis but you never know. These camera angles are tricky, and what looks close or fingertips away could look a lot different from a different angle. I think he was nervous or jittery for some reason. Maybe it was because of Revis. Who knows, definitely seemed a little jumpy though.

Ouch that hurts. Thomas for Murray is steep but you did need an RB. No one available on waiver? I made the mistake of sitting pretty with Ingram and Forte, and a no name 3rd running back. When Forte went out I started losing, because with all the RB injuries the RB market is bare. Since Forte will likely be out again, I will be forced to start Sproles or Bolden. And next week Ingram will be out for bye. I pray to God Forte will be back next week. Was in 1st place, fell to second after last week, and could fall to 5th with a loss this week.

....I think you just proved my point. I don't think that anyone not involved in this conversation would think you were calling them an idiot or talking about their job...... Also it wasn't an argument. It was harassment by idiots who have nothing better to do than to comment on his facebook or whatever harassing him. I understand you aren't thrashing Sammy, but the guy missed 4.5 games out of 9. Comparing him to that kind of list is kind of useless, unless you have a low tolerance for his injuries.
-
Literally the only thing he said that could be taken as an attack was "get a life, go to work, stop worrying about my job because I'm good on this end and forever will be losers, most of you just wish to be in this position so continue working y'all little jobs for the rest of y'all lives" This was a 22 year old's response to hurt the people that were hurting him. It was not a social commentary on the working class. Only the internet would interpret it as such. I don't believe his parents think he was targeting them and their jobs either. I think they were probably upset with him lashing out, but beyond that, they know Sammy more than any one of us, and probably understand better than you or me that it was a defensive mechanism, not commentary on the working class. It is clear what he meant was to insult the people insulting him. He clearly chooses the people harassing them as his subject and consistently targets them. Obviously the masses would interpret it as an attack on them because they can't make that distinction on their own. That is why it was wrong of him to do it, but I do not blame him for lashing out, nor do I think he was targeting me as a person with a little job. Even further, I am not even sure why I need Sammy to think I am a big boy with a big important job, who really cares?
-
It was wrong for his line of work. Not wrong from a defensive standpoint. If someone criticized me on how I do my job like people were doing to him, I would tell them to off, and worry about their own jobs as well. It was a bad idea and wrong, because of the way the masses would interpret it, not because of what he said.

Rex Ryan's TNF Postgame Presser
What a Tuel replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know why people disregard what Rex actually says. He said it plainly and clearly in the post game presser but he has said the same before. Rex - "You know what - he's not a bad kid. You think that's the first fight that's happened in an NFL Lockerroom? Every single team has had fights in their lockerroom. Young man made a mistake. You don't think he thinks about that every single day? But he is on our football team, and I am proud of him." The Press - "What do you think when people say it sets a bad example?" Rex - "It's a bad example to judge people. That's probably what the biggest bad example is. Nobody is perfect including every single person who is pointing a finger." -
That's the type of pick he made for us at the end of games, and why we consider him bad. My best to him though! Hope the surgery goes well.

I think he thought he could beat the guy around the corner. You can seem him accelerate but then I think he stumbled or tripped and the Jet got him. I agree though, throw it away
-
Meh it was just fitzpatrick

No idea. Get some DDT on the black market? Or torch the house. I never thought they were in this area for some reason, then I started to hear stories. Yuck. -
FanDuel and DraftKings Banned in NYS
What a Tuel replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is preying on the hopes of millions of people thinking they can get lucky, and be one of the .00000000001% that wins and becomes part of the 1%. It is actually pretty ironic....but its for the Children! -
I think everyone agrees home field advantage is a real thing. An opposing teams banner in the end zone of your own stadium takes away from that advantage far more than just cheering for your team in the stadium. They shouldn't have allowed it for competitive reasons. Did he have a approval? Sure. Should Cam have torn it down? No. We are mixing emotional and rational thought in this thread though. But the argument that the sign did nothing, and that who cares it's just a game is asinine. They are competing for a reason.

Paid for military tributes in the news again
What a Tuel replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That probably would be better, but they mix it all the time. Sentimentality, and pride are a driving factor in recruitment. You see it in the commercials, they don't typically get you in the door with logical reasoning of the benefits of joining the military, they get these kids in the door by giving them a sense of pride, and duty of supporting and defending their country, and then in the recruitment office they sell them on the benefits. -
Paid for military tributes in the news again
What a Tuel replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe I am just gullible but the team statements on page 143 and 145 are exactly what I believed the situation was. The Military reached out for recruitment efforts, and the NFL (and others) did the BAU marketing package for them. Jets "The facts are that from 2011-2014 the New Jersey National Guard (and, to clarify, no other Military branch) had an advertising and promotional contract with the Jets. The National Guard approached us, seeking our promotional assets to reach their target audience. The National Guard, and the U.S. Military in general, spend millions annually to maintain an all-volunteer force. As a National Guard spokesman recently confirmed, his organization has found it effective to use some of its budget with the Jets, the NFL, and other sports properties. Our understanding is that this arrangement was similar in content to other sports advertising expenditures made by the National Guard." Falcons "I’m sure many of you have read various news accounts regarding the National Guard’s marketing partnership with a number of NFL teams, including the Falcons, and other sports entities. Unfortunately, many of the stories failed to accurately present the business relationships between the two groups, and we want to make sure you have the facts to alleviate any concerns you may have. Our marketing and sponsorship agreement with the National Guard is designed to fulfill their objectives of increasing awareness and aiding in recruiting efforts, which has become more important in an all-volunteer service environment. This is no different than any other sponsorship agreement in that it is structured to fit a business need. Our agreement with the National Guard during the 2014 season included advertising on the Falcons website and in the Atlanta Falcons Playbook, which is distributed to fans on game day; signage in the Georgia Dome; LED and backlit messaging on Falcons game days; activation at Falcons Landing on game days; and participation in a number of other game program activities. As explained by National Guard spokesman Rick Breitenfeldt in a recent story on ESPN.com, their spending with teams in all sports on year-round advertising and marketing programs is a way to reach important audiences. "We have hundreds of [sponsorship agreements] with teams, including minor league baseball and at high schools," he said. "We have found that spending in sports to help us recruit in our 18-24 demographic works out for us". " -
