  1. Now there is some rational thinking. I like it Sal!
  2. Haha. The media has had this story written for weeks which is why they were dying to ask him who the captains would be today. I take those comments as "I am supposed to say x controversial thing here for the media to harp on all week, so instead I will make a joke". Watching his press conferences confirms this.
  3. It was classless and justifies bullying!
  4. Sounds like you have a good shot, with Keenan Allen out Rivers is going to key in on someone, but I bet it is Gates and Stevie more than Floyd. Even with Floyd and no ppr, you have a solid chance.
  5. While this is fine, and I agree criticism shouldn't be silenced, the "let's wait to see if they it up crowd" isn't really constructive criticism. It's hating.
  6. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/11/08/jerry-hughes-redeems-himself-in-a-momentum-changing-way/ "Hughes hadn't even played on the left side since college at TCU six-plus years ago. But through the week, coaches wanted to slide Mario Williams over the guard. In response, Miami then slid center Mike Pouncey over to double Williams. And coach Rex Ryan knew that Hughes' combination of speed and explosion could give Fox fits." Hughes had a big day because Mario drew double team.
  7. Division games are different. Steelers have struggled with the Browns even with Bell and Roethlisberger. 2014: Browns 27 Steelers 30 Browns 31 Steelers 10
  8. It sounded as if Collinsworth wanted to say more about it as well. In the past I've heard him go off on those types of calls. I bet they've been told not to get stuck on the awful officiating when calling the game.
  9. And the undefeated Denver Broncos who shut down the Green Bay Packers (Rodgers had 77 yards passing) lost to the Colts. I guess they are bad too. Every game is it's own match-up and it's why we play the games, and don't write off games like Jacksonville, or the Titans, or anyone. I agree, let's turn this thing around on Thursday and get our wildcard back!
  10. Just coming back to say great advice! haha. I will probably still lose, but I'd feel like an idiot if I had dropped Watkins. Only down by 7, and need Rivers/Gould to outscore Alshon Jeffery, and Danny Woodhead by that amount. A tall order I know, I am just glad my team showed up today!
  11. Let me know if you find any. I am scraping the bottom of the barrel with Dexter McCluster. New England's 3rd RB Branden Bolden might be worth picking up if Lewis will be out for awhile. Blount might get all the carries, but Bolden had 12.9 points in PPR today. Starks had a great game today too, but might be gone already. Going to try to put in for those two in my league. How many RB's can the other teams pick up ahead of me before they throw a decent one back out
  12. God I hate this statistic . You do realize that the Titans would have been 3-5, Dolphins 5-3, and Colts 5-4 had we not beat them right?
  13. Can someone post these "advanced" statistics for running backs aged 27+ I keep hearing about? Cause all I see is old men holding up their portion of the top RB rankings. Must be a statistical anomaly that 7 teams are starting RB1's aged 29 or older....they must not have subscribed to the advanced statistics.
  14. Why would it be blacked out?
  15. Never had a doubt Sammy! Amazing game!
  16. He is injured though. Not much of a choice. Yeah, but at that point they should just bench him. Maybe it's a smokescreen at this point. The way Sammy is talking, it seems as though he shouldn't even be playing.
  17. Man I hope Sammy plays well! This whole ankle thing makes me nervous
  18. I have the same decision and am sticking with Rivers. Chicago's defense is too tempting.
  19. It's not excuses, it is reality. We win that game if EJ doesn't give them 20 points. And that's coming from someone who doesn't think EJ is the worst QB ever.
  20. Thanks, I agree. Just needed the vote of confidence
  21. I agree. All I see is well wishes and come back soons for Kelvin Benjamin.
  22. He was dominant his rookie season. Wasn't good enough.
  23. I think I will. I don't have much of a shot to win because half my team is on bye or injured.Better than dropping Watkins and still losing! My lineup vs my opponent: Me Rivers Ingram McCluster Diggs Amari Cooper Delanie Walker Sammy Watkins Gould Steelers Bench Roethlisberger Forte (Injured) Calvin Johnson (Bye) Kelce (Bye) Cardinals (Bye) Opponent Tom Brady Woodhead Peterson Jeffery Cooks Eifert (28 points ) Allen Robinson Dawson Vikings Bench Carr Vernon Davis Sims Hyde John Brown I gave up Riddick to pick up McCluster, which I now think was a mistake since I don't think I can win with Eifert's 28 points. Riddick was decent, but on bye, and snatched up quickly. (DeAngelo Williams, Langford, and CJ Anderson all picked up before me on waiver since I'm in 1st)
  24. I actually didn't like that Miami got him. Just from my uneducated opinion of watching his highlights.
  25. Well if you follow the subject of his post he says "To all the people that have a problem with me being injured" and then continues on later with "you guys y'all mad". To me, that means he was staying consistent with the subject of his criticism which were the people that were bashing him for being injured. That said, reading it again makes me realize just how insignificant the issue even was to start with. A reactionary post because people were calling him out. And to all of the keyboard warriors calling him out, I leave you with this: Regardless everyone agrees it was ill advised, it is just the over sensitive, insecure people that still take it to heart that Sammy thinks they have wittle jobs. Wooest them.
