  1. Neither could they. I don't think disagreeing that they will "rip us a new one" is underestimating them by any means. No need to argue though, we will be able to see the actual game in a few short weeks.
  2. Oh yeah, we discount the actual game we played against them, and give tons of weight to the epic wins against the Titans and Texans Every game is it's own matchup. Tannehill is scared of our defense. He admits it.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/NFLonFOX/videos/990655580972582/ Not sure if posted already.
  4. Manuel and a mid round draft pick. Not enough? Then take care of your own problems!
  5. Any link to your grapevine? Rex said he is confident Tyrod will be ready Week 9. And they haven't practiced or anything since then so....
  6. Because there is an argument for the inconsistency of the officiating. If you are going to call pass interference on Robey the play before, then you better damn well call clear and obvious holding on Jacksonville the next play.
  7. Two game deciding calls right in a row. 3rd and 15? Meh give it to them, its our fault we are down. Game winning TD? Meh give it to them, its our fault we are up.
  8. The person I was watching with called it. The officials didn't. How does this happen?
  9. Probably, but Rex has had zero leeway on any front in his first 2 games as coach let alone a season or two to build something.
  10. Agreed. At this point Rex is love him or hate him, and the hate him crowd sees an opportunity to rail on him for every little thing. (Even charging headsets ) I fear it will always be this way with Rex.
  11. These are the types of calls I think a challenge would help. Challenges are limited so it's not like everyone would be challenging every called penalty, but if a coach sees a blatantly bad call, he should be able to throw the red flag for officials to take another look. The officials can still make the judgement call that there was hand swatting, and bumping and whatnot and uphold the penalty, but it would help reverse penalties called in error especially critical ones such as this.
  12. I think people just need to take a break and breathe.
  13. https://twitter.com/viccarucci/status/658748461794373632 Vic Carucci ‏@viccarucci 2m2 minutes ago According to a #Bills source, the report that low batteries caused problems w coach-to-QB communication system is false. Vic Carucci ‏@viccarucci 2m2 minutes ago #NFL was beta testing a wireless pack for coach-to-QB communication system during #Bills-#Jaguars game in London.
  14. In my opinion there is a huge difference between what was not called, that should have been, and what was called but should not have been. Everyone is looking for consistency, but the officials should not be affecting the game as much as they are with no course for correcting flags thrown in error.
  15. So the only reason you would buy a jersey or season tickets is if we were guaranteed in your realist view that there was a very large chance we were going to the super bowl? To each their own, but I have season tickets to go support my team, and enjoy the game of football. Not because I have some sense of winning as an inevitability. You can have perspective and still hold out hope too. For example I think they still have a shot for the playoffs. Is this some Disney related fantasy? No. It is based on likely getting Watkins, Tyrod, Karlos, Miller, and Henderson back. Maybe Harvin, unless he decided to take more games off contemplating retirement. It is based on the defense making 4 goal line stops in a row, then proceeding to force three 3 and outs, then a pick six, then what would have been another stop had it not been for official interference. We lost but our team showed a lot coming back from this deficit. I firmly believe had it not been for EJ's 3 turnovers, we would have easily won this game. So being the realist that I am, I am objectively looking at how the team performed despite the loss rather than looking at the team through the looking glass of a loss.
  16. It's rare that they overrule each other. But I am saying it should have been reviewable. If no other officials were around the play, which in looking at the All-22 it seemed there weren't then upstairs should have called down and said, you messed up, pick up that flag. If they don't want upstairs officials constantly overruling downstairs officials then get better on field officials. But seriously, if they don't want that, then institute challenging penalties into your 2 challenges for the game. Obviously don't allow challenging to get a penalty flag thrown, but they need to allow for some corrective ability for these terrible calls. They can still make their judgement calls in these situations.
  17. The problem is that these plays aren't reviewed. So they controlled the outcome of the game. Everyone can talk about them being judgement call and they can't question judgement calls but at the end of the day, they should've been able to get together and talk and ask if that was actually PI. Or at least the people upstairs watching call down on it. They can still make their "judgement" calls but all I am asking is not to be screwed on the blatant miscalls.
  18. Yeah that's what people said last year after we lost to the chiefs and dolphins. And we were competitive in the playoff hunt in the end. Everyone abandons the season too early. It is almost as if we are in a rush to declare the season lost. First person gets a prize! Part of the experience is living through each win and loss. We were never guaranteed a playoff spot. We will be healthy off of the BYE week and we will see what happens then, because that is the only way to actually know - to actually play the games. Case in point I am sure most of you abandoned any chance of us winning the game today after they were up 27-3. It certainly felt that way. But that is why you play all 4 quarters and all 16 games.
  19. The defense can't win this week. They do excellent and "it was the jags", or they give up any number of points and they "failed to stop the jags. " I'd look for smashing the Dolphins and Jets in the mouth after the bye week to shut people up. And then Tom Brady will start the trend all over again.
  20. It has been a constant criticism of Rex, not in this thread though. Along the lines of "the players taking on the boisterous, over the top, and uncontrolled demeanor of the coach"
  21. ....We were 3-3 at this point last year as well. Have some hope man. Generally, I also want to point this out about penalties: http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2014/10/penalties_issue_hurt_buffalo_bills.html But it is totally Rex's coaching that's the culprit . Maybe he can change things up to make us better on this as part of his coaching, but I am tired of him being named the cause.
  22. Our defense does not have a good day because of a crappy QB. The QB has a crappy day because of our defense. That distinction matters. Middle of the pack offenses are not guaranteed shutdowns for defenses. Such as the Browns putting up 23 points on the Broncos. The Eagles putting up 24 points on the Jets, and the Rams putting up 34 on the Seahawks. (All worse than their points per game average) I am not sure how much more plain it can get than that.
  23. Sorry but in the mountain of BS after the loss to the Bengal's the criticism pretty much blends together. The fact that you can't see that the defense has done pretty dang good against multiple opponents lumps you in with those people. That isn't to say there isn't work to be done, and adjustments to be made.
  24. It isn't about removing them. It is about acknowledging that there is work to be done there, but realizing the defense has done pretty good against most teams. Rex needs to make adjustments, but it's not the heaping wreck that you are all in a tizzy about with a number of ridiculous threads such as firing rex, tanking the season, etc. Not to mention you argue Colts, who haven't played with Luck in a few games.
