  1. I revise my earlier statement. It is marketing and clickbait. Clickbait for the people who say "Wow, those Bills fans must be really drunk!", and then marketing when they see the breathalyzer and say "That's really cool! I can use it when I go tailgating and drink at the packers game, and not get a DUI!"
  2. The Bills are currently ranked 9th in points per game. Last year they were 18th. I know you were looking at yards per game, but the red zone was particularly bad last year. As for your snarky attitude toward my comment, I know what I meant and was clarifying but that's not on your agenda to comprehend rather than bash is it? Also it is ok to say it - Marrone was awful.
  3. Oh ok then I guess Rex gets credit for the offensive turnaround. Also yes it was historically bad. In 2025 we will look back in history, and say that offense was horrible, and is the reason we didn't make the playoffs. We will also say Marrone was awful.
  4. Their methodology includes people who have one of these - http://www.bactrack.com/.../bactrack-vio-smartphone... I don't know how many people have these, but I am suspicious that they had enough from each fanbase to do a legitimate study. Sounds like marketing to me.
  5. This makes me think there is a heck of a lot more to the story than people know. The fact that they are "auditing" team contracts with the DoD means that there is a bigger picture here that people are just mashing together. It's akin to complaining about the city paying for something crazy, but then someone clarifying to you that the payment was part of a broader program that did other things. I think people should untwist their panties, and reserve judgement until they know exactly what was paid for.
  6. What did Marrone contribute to that 9-7 team? The offense was historically bad including his specialty (o-line), and the defense was Schwartz.
  7. I believe a firearm was involved at some point with the threatening.
  8. Something tells me it is a bit more complicated than just having the QB on your roster.
  9. I've said he was wrong up thread. I also think his critics were wrong. So....
  10. "Like I said, I knew what I was doing taking a shot" Maybe now the rest of us and our little jobs can get over the insult swapping of a 22 year old and the internet. The people he insulted got what they deserved but it was unwise of him to broadcast his insults where people could misinterpret/redirect them. That's why he apologized.
  11. There is a notable uplift in spirit this week . Good old fans bouncing back already haha. There were those that were saying with the weak AFC, 9-7 for the playoffs looks more like a reality this year though.
  12. Even with the 3 tds, Beckham's production is down. Current 8 games 50 catches 654 yards 7 tds 2014 12 games 91 catches 1,305 yards 12 tds 2015 Projection 16 games 100 catches 1,308 yards 14 tds It's not bad. It's actually quite good. But he needs 650 yards and 5 tds in the next 4 games to match last years production. With the 3 tds today (nearly doubled his total so far this year), he will probably reach the TD mark. I do too. I think people need to realize he isn't perfect and his statements were not social commentary on how the rich are so much better than us poor schlubs. It was an emotional 22 year old kid firing back at people who were insulting him. Ill-advised? Sure. Undeserved? Absolutely not. The bastards deserved it. I think its hilarious that it bugs them so much that they are so butt hurt over it.
  13. So you were one of those guys? I was the guy that dropped him after week 2. Couldn't afford to keep him on my roster with limits. I'm in first place, but I'll never get him back. I didn't have Bell, but Forte is supposedly out for awhile now too.
  14. http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/nfl-s-sideline-shakedown-patriots-very-big-deal?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo&ref=yfp Didn't see a thread for this. Figured I'd just place it here. I am sure the Jets are just doing such things to be big meanie heads. Poor Patriots
  15. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/29/bills-think-they-can-have-the-greatest-defense-ever/ Another quote attributed to Rex falsely as far as I can tell. I believe the only notion that included Rex is that the 85 Bears were coached by his father. But keep the awful loudmouth Rex narrative going! I think inconsistency is Manuel's greatest downfall. He can make some decent throws, and play well, but when he is bad - he is BAD. Throwing at feet, behind WR's, to DB's, and then turns around and bombs one to Easley. Tyrod will definitely come in and do better though. We really needed this bye week for any number of reasons.
  16. You know, it isn't fair because you are on the internet, but what has Rex said that has been hype and bluster that you probably haven't believed yourself this past offseason? I surely haven't heard everything Rex Ryan has said, but for the most part I believe he stated he "expects the Bills defense to do better than #3, they should be #1". I don't see a problem with that. I ask people a shorter version of that in person when they tell me Rex is a loudmouth. I ask them "What is the last loudmouth thing you heard him say?" No one can ever seem to remember. The point is that, If he is a loudmouth, they should be able to tell me fairly easy, and it will confirm for me that they aren't being a talking piece for the media narrative. I have yet to find someone who remembers offhand a loudmouth thing Rex Ryan has said recently.
  17. Matt Cassel's last 16 games 261 of 437 (59%) 3,012 yards 16 tds 19 ints EJ Manuel's last only 16 games 308 of 521 (59%) 3,371 yards 19 tds 15 ints I don't think he is significantly better, but we are talking about a 3 year guy and an 11 year guy. I also have a lot more confidence in Manuel than Cassel.
  18. If he wasn't screaming I could see it....kind of. And then someone coming and distracting the walkers but the fact that he is screaming bugs me. A Walker would should start gnawing his face off at that point. Not to mention the guy would have to fall precisely on top of him and cover his legs and arms because the Walkers aren't going to differentiate between the 2. A knee or elbow sticking out somewhere would get bitten.
  19. I think that capitalizes on how good that rookie WR class was. However no one seems to be talking on how the rest of the class is doing now. Beckham's production is down from last year. Kelvin Benjamin is out for the year (Whaley's head would be on a platter in that scenario) Mike Evan's was injured, and production is down from last year Brandin Cook's was injured half of last year, and doing decent this year. Marqise Lee has been dealing with injuries a lot this year Jordan Matthew's has been less productive than Sammy in his rookie year. Davante Adams has been dealing with injuries Martavis Bryant has been inactive because of 4 game suspension, comes back and is injured his first week - otherwise productive Jarvis Landry has been less productive than Sammy in his rookie year Allen Robinson has been the highlight this year projected to have 1,339 yards and 13 tds But anyone can see the trend of injuries does not stop at Sammy Watkins.
  20. Yeah, I would have to agree. Neglect isn't a word I'd use. I've said this in another thread, but I am not sure why Whaley was expected to know that Tyrod's injury would have taken place against a team like the Jaguars, that would mask his deep pass deficiencies. On top of that, everyone forgets about the Bengals. I have far more confidence to this day with Manuel against the Bengals than Cassel.
  21. Are you for real? Have some hope man. There is no prize for calling the season the earliest.
  22. Roman had a decent offense when it wasn't destroyed by injuries. The Bills missing the Playoffs for 15 years has no impact on this season. I disagree that Rex is on a downward spiral, but he has to get the Dline to be doing what it does best. We didn't lose to the jags. Manuel threw that game away. No pick sixes = 13-7 at the half with the jaguars losing. Take solace in the fact that we came back 27-3 to nearly win it. Lastly, each game is it's own matchup. The Titans gave the Falcons a run for their money, and a 1-5 Baltimore team nearly beat a 5-2 Arizona Cardinals. Do you think Cardinal fans are pitying themselves about how they almost lost? So take your optimism back! Maybe we win, maybe we lose, but it makes it a lot more fun of an experience than being that sarcastic bills fan, that ruins everyone's good thoughts!
  23. The premise of this thread is that they didn't try, or at least they tried far less than any other teams. No one is happy with the outcome, but that isn't the point the OP is trying to make.
