  1. I think it would have been a touchdown had it been intended for Woods, meaning the ball was thrown to him in stride. I was at the game, and initially I thought "this is it!" until it became obvious it was going short. An argument could be made that the Pats D wouldn't have come off him then, but I believe he had a few steps on him. Edit: And looking at the post a few posts above mine, I can see maybe it woudn't have been a TD, but still a big catch, He has to fall out of their graces before they start calling him out for that stuff, plus he didn't cost a 1st round pick so it doesn't bug them that much. I think both of them are on the same level and they can both be decent QBs when they want. That said I think Tyrod had a lot of the same problems EJ had the first 4 games last season. Dancing around in the pocket, taking sacks, and dumping it off every single play whether its working or not.
  2. At one point I saw him lining up and waving his arms around at Tyrod. I don't presume to know what he was saying or trying to get across, but it was something.
  3. Kind of like despite their best efforts, the officials couldn't let the colts win last week.
  4. Kaepernick isn't Rivers. Rivers seems to have connected well with him all preseason from what I understand. There is a lot more of a gut instinct that he found a good spot here than SF. I really never thought SF was a good fit for him.
  5. Tyrod at QB, Handoff to McCoy right side for 3 yards. 21 first downs
  6. Isn't it also a record that is better than most if not all other coaches? I'd say Rex gives us as good of chance as anyone else, which says something in my opinion.
  7. Why the heck would the next logical step be a frame job? The Patriots have done all of this themselves, there is no need for anyone to frame them, they blatently skirt rules, so why is it so far fetched that they would break the ones they know they could get away with? Why are there so many reports of them skirting and breaking the rules? And please don't tell me its because people are jealous, that's absurd and childish. The next logical step is for people like you to wake up and realize that you are being duped. This isn't a witch hunt, they have a culture of cheating in NE.
  8. Just got mine too. I already used the 7-day free trial, so when I click "start free trial" (which seems to be the only option), and put in my promo code, it says I won't have to pay after the free trial, so I click pay now, and it says I already used the free trial. Does anyone see where to just outright buy game pass and bypass the free trial BS?
  9. Yeah Jackson's 0 rushing fumbles in 2014 was a real learning experience for Bryce Brown. He decided to go his own way and fumble us out of a playoff spot anyway though.
  10. Saw a notification that the Pats were trying out Jeff Tuel after releasing Ryan Lindley. They are really searching for that third guy! Maybe they will take Cassel
  11. I'd much rather be wrong and positive than pick your perceived "safe" bet because you learned the Bills lost a bunch of years before this I say we win the division.
  12. Isn't EJ's rookie contract fully guaranteed? How would cutting him negate that? I am not an expert on this but on Spotrac, cutting EJ at this point would cost us $5.250 million in dead cap. Keeping him for the next 2 years will cost us $5.250. Whereas cutting Cassel at this point would cost us $600,000 in dead cap (Saving the $4,150 million salary). We would have to pay him an addition $4 million at least to keep him next year, totaling $8.150 million in cost. Cutting Cassel would save us far more than cutting EJ. ($4-8 million vs potentially $2.8 million if Manuel plays for another team) http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/matt-cassel/ http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/e.j.-manuel/
  13. Isn't it 2 ACL tears prior to the trade and now tendinitis in the same knee compared to a strained hamstring? I think the difference is pretty clear.
  14. I wouldn't rate Niners fans venting on comment sections as knowledgeable unless you guys are referring to fans you know personally. I saw a lot of hate for Roman on comment sections which I would equate to our fan reactions to Darby getting picked on. They aren't seeing the whole picture. One Niner's fan I know held the play calling in the super bowl against Roman. He won't let it go either. So there's that.
  15. Although I hate the nickname, I don't believe it is meant to be named after the cell service. I think that's just a connection fans naturally made.
  16. Yeah having the most first downs of anyone on the team last year, and having 1,000 all purpose yards was just downright awful. He should have done better. This is a pretty big mistake. The pros of him being here outweighed the cons. This will be a huge blow if the Pats pick him up and he starts week 2.
  17. Well yeah, I wouldn't say he was someone I would want to be friends with, he actually sounded like a douche. But like you said, a ferocious bully? No. Just an idiot.
  18. I read way too many of their back and forth texts and if you had read any of them with context, you would not still hold this opinion.
  19. I had a "for fun league" draft last Saturday and unfortunately #1 was handed to me. I went with Bell. Last year he tore it up for me along side Demarco Murray, I feel like the rest of the RB's are less of a certainty for a #1 pick, he just has too much upside even with the 2 game suspension. A theory I hear is that losing the first game or two is beneficial anyway because the surprise players on waivers fall to you then. Although I would never intentionally lose, it is another potential upside for taking Bell Can I ask how your league picks draft spots? Are they randomly assigned? Or do you get to pick your spot, and you were the last sucker to pick?
  20. Underrated - Woods (Although there is a topic saying we could get a first for him so maybe not ) Overrated - Tyrod - I think people are seeing a Russel Wilson in the way he runs and it is influencing their judgement. On a side not I can't stand when people try to get creative and alter players names to make a statement. Pickspatrick was one of the worst. I haven't heard TyGod but that is a right there.
  21. Ha, I was standing behind the camera guy. I didn't hear him offering the tickets though. Definitely classy of Goodwin. He stuck around signing autographs for a long time. After my group got their autograph we moved away, and at some point later we turned around and he was still signing stuff haha. Ron Brooks was also in the outer area on his little electric skateboard kind of like this cruising around signing autographs haha. http://www.bonanza.com/listings/New-Smart-Self-Balancing-Electric-Skateboard-Unicycle-Scooter-SkyWalk-Blue/271605505?gpid=68416461421&gpkwd=&goog_pla=1&gclid=CjwKEAjw9dWuBRDFs9mHv-C9_FkSJADo58iMyikKJIF1gSy-wKs-zMOmcLJOnLY1_I-AnRjYjtKEFhoCpfvw_wcB
  22. All this talk about the CBA makes me dread negotiating a new one (2021?) and how stubborn the two sides may end up being.
  23. I do too. I wish they'd just come out and say it. I am about to leave from North Tonawanda to there, and I really don't want to drive just to be turned around when I get there.
