I do see the point of being aggressive in their candidate searches, and there is merit to push to interview, but not pushed to hire. It’s a knee jerk reaction. There is merit to diversity candidates getting lower level coaching jobs increases the pool of higher level position later as they develop. So there is a point I can see to really aggressively interview diverse candidates. i just dont Like the idea of forcing hires and is disrespectful to the legitimate candidates.

When in Mgmt I’ve for the last 10 years been pushed hard by management to look for diversity, but was never forced to hire, but one time. The candidate didn’t workout. im fine with Mgmt and coaches being pushed to interview candidates, but they shouldn’t be forced to hire.

The good news for the Bills is they structured Allen’s deal to hit while the salary cap will skyrocket. It gets close to normal (pre-Covid) the year after next. Next year It looks like it will be in the 220’s, but the year after it’s estimated around the 250’s. we may have to move on from some older players these next couple of years. I doubt we extend Hughes at this point, and Addison is out.

I see this as a huge positive as it pertains to the Bills. Tua is mediocre at best so you have to have a guy throw him the ball. Good call. I liked the trade. A 7th rounder and the going rate for a quality backup. He has a career 63% completion record, and let’s not forget Mitch last year didn’t start once. Hell be fine and we have our backup set for now. I still say with the other 7th RD pick we should take a shot on a punter. I’d never use the pick earlier. Field position is so important.

Yep, He’s on record admitting it. He said his goal is to fill holes in FA, and says like every GM BPA in the draft. I think he does let needs come into a play a little the need issue. it wasn’t an accident we swung at two DE’s, and a Guard in the first three rounds last year.
