  1. I’m sorry for the family’s loss. He’s too young to pass.
  2. Hey 4 Permer, my only point is let’s not make a bust in Canton for JA yet. I’m more than on board I. 10 years from now as it will most likely end up in a gold jacket for him.
  3. Thanks House for sharing. I think you know I live in Tampa, and his injuries pushed him down the depth chart, but he’s solid. We are going to be able to do a lot more 12 personnel this year if Dorsey calls it up. He alone makes us more dynamic as we can run three wide with Diggs, Davis, and McKenzie, but can also run 12 with Dawson and Howard. One of the more under the radar signings this off season.
  4. Woah, slow the train down. I love JA17, but he needs to keep going. I don’t like the insulting manner the previous poster mentioned the Luck example, but it is accurate. Luck won’t wear a gold jacket and that is too bad as he was a great player for a few years. Is it likely Allen wins a gold jacket 15 years from now, sure.
  5. I can see a 2 year extension for poyer given his last year and maybe a lower contract but a ton guaranteed. $20 mil., but $15 guaranteed. I absolutely see Oliver and Knox getting extensions when in their last year. I have no issues with Edmunds, but with these extensions, he may be the odd man out. This team can only pay so many guys. Someone is out on musical chairs.
  6. Yeah, and Pat Summerall was drunk weekly with Madden on football. There are alcoholics in all walks of life. A lot of the time it is self medicating. I think it was Poyer who admitted he had a problem and was public on his rehab. Im not sure the motivation on Campbell other than what we know that the NFL will put up with anything if you produce. So does corporate America. How many alcoholics are there on Wall Street? Like everything, it is a personal decision and it’s progressive, so whoever it was he will eventually progress until it’s a real problem for him. Then maybe he’ll do something. Im not trying to be callous, but my background (Irish Catholic from Buffalo) leads to a couple on my family. It may be a generalization, but at least in my family true. I’m overly cautious as a result. Whoever it is he is speaking to, I hope he gets the help he needs when he’s ready to hear it. It’s deaf ears until that time.
  7. Is Ertz on his way too? That was for you House. Seriously, it was a bunch of saber rallying, politics as usual, yadayada
  8. Best line at natl lampoons Xmas movie
  9. Draft picks are not a lock. To lock up the missing piece where we can have a complete defense is worth it to me. We don’t really have any other starting openings on the roster. instead of giving up the third, I’d rather give up a player we could lose like Edmunds. Hell cost too much at this point given we are most likely not extending him.
  10. Jerry has been great for us, but it’s time to move on. No fan likes to say goodbye to a player who has given so much for Buffalo. I hope he finds it to have at least one home in Buffalo, as you know WGR, and the other outlets would use him for interviews, and speculation on the team. I think we just need to get younger. We have a ton of talent Beane brought in this off season.
  11. The hosts also are supposed to balance each other. I think you’re reading way too much into it. She’s fine, and yes, she’s cute, but she also knows football. I have no issues with female football reporters and hosts. As long as they know what they are talking about, vs. idiots like back in the day Warren Sapp or other guys who played the game, but don’t do their hw. They recite headlines and that’s about it. Its one of the reasons I like NFLR as most, not all of the guys seem knowledgeable and do their hw prior to the shows. Tell me something I don’t already know.
  12. He’s turning 31 in November and making $10 mil. Maybe he can get a two year deal at the end of this year. If he holds out it will go bad for him. His wife is making real mistakes getting in the media.
  13. IDK about double dipping, but moving up to one of the Giants spots to get Gardner is a good call. Getting a zone CB which is Gardner is a great fit for us.
  14. I hate even going there, but a Gilmore acquisition could be the thing that moves the needle to a SB. I know I sound like one of the guys that I poke holes in for madden talk. I still love the idea of the Syracuse article yesterday where we swap #1’s, give next years #1, and a 3rd for the agiants 7th for sauce Gardner of still there at 7. That’s what I prefer as cheap labor for five years.
  15. Hey bud, thanks and not to get all Oliver Stone conspiracy theory, but I have a hard time believing Beane didn’t have any off the record conversations with McD. They were tight in Carolina, and Whaley was fired the day after the Depth and in comes Beane. I just have a hard time believing they never talked at all. Anyway, I just love the methodical plan Beane had for this team. It’s so nice we have both locked up for around 5 years. Let’s hope on two to three they extend both for another 5.
  16. Allen doesn’t surprise me. It’s sad that when pundits rattle off stats, they omit far too often his rushing yards coupled with his passing yards. You combine those two and he is by far one of the top 3 in the league in 20 and 21. 22 is more of the same. 4000 yards plus another 425 rushing is my guess.
  17. I like you’re thought about a punter. It would be nice to get with our 7th vs. 6th like suggested in the Syracuse article today. I actually really liked the article. Trading with the Giants for Sauce Gardner with their 7th if he’s still there would be great. I also like the Tackle, and Guard picks. Lastly, the speedster WR was a nice add. just look at the main board and you’ll see the article I’m referencing in the Syracuse paper. Have a great day guys.
  18. Ed Wang, can’t go wrong with a big wang.
  19. Thank you FB. I think it’s you who puts this article out each year, and it’s a fun read. I think McD is exactly where he deserves to be at 5. No one is going to outdo in these rankings BB and Andy Reid at 1 and 2. McVeigh has done a great deal with his bought talent, and is unconventional how he has built a team. Harbaugh in my view is underrated and deserves to be ahead of McD.
  20. Well written Eman. He left us in a horrible cap situation, and yes I know Cooter (Nix) start d this mess. I hope Whaley gets a position as a lead scout or in charge of scouting for the Steelers or another Team.
  21. Whaley just made it on NFLR as a regular I think yesterday or at least a fill in for the regulars. He was on the opening drive with Solomon Wilcots. As far as his previous GM experience, he did too much patchwork, vs. having a methodical plan like Beane. I don’t dislike the guy, but rather he is a pro personnel scouting kind of guy. Maybe the second time around he improves on his mistakes. Carroll improved the second go around from the Jets to eventually the Hawks. You could say the same about BB from Cleveland to NE. I know these are coaching examples, but you get the point. He seems like a much better fit than the other two.
  22. Or just Uber. Ridiculous. It’s not that they can’t Uber from one place to another.
  23. You mean a guy who can get us a bunch of personal fouls for 15 yards like JERRY did over and over again when he was young. pass. Not needed in this nfl. It’s more of a liability at this point. It’s not like Von Miller is a cream puff nor Milano. Poyer is a tough dude as well. We don’t need a cheap shot guy.
  24. Very well written. You summarized this clown up in a nutshell. Thanks and “what he says”. 😇
