  1. The teams that still want to add a QB are simply waiting for Cleveland to cut him. I do agree with some who mentioned other teams are not interested in playing ball with a team that significantly overpaid for Watson as it sets a precedent other teams have to deal with in their own future negotiations with top QB’s. Teams like Seattle and Carolina can simply wait and let Cleveland eat the $18.8 mil. they are currently on the hook for in 2022. They can then make a low ball offer for a guy still recuperating from multiple injuries.
  2. You mean like whackamole like every other veteran who some knucklehead writes, let’s a take a look. Good with a medical so we know for the future if an injury, but that’s all.
  3. Noggin, it’s kind of a balance. They see what they didn’t do in FA, then identify different positions, then look at their board and get the BPA for those identified positions. At least in the 1st through 3rd rounds. Then I think they get much more liberal with BPA. it’s not an accident, we needed a 2nd CB as the top need, and 2nd was a RB, then WR. The surprise and not an accident was a small LB in the 3rd. They did though get a WR by many identified is a 4th at worst WR in the 5th. Then the cherry on top is another WR and a Punter. No accident at all. Just like the last 2 years DE towards the top. He keeps swinging until he hits.
  4. After having a great FA, and now we think draft, we’re fine. Just another thread of being this guy in for a look. I’m fine for a look as they do that to do the medical and when there is an injury, they know whether they want to call in advance as contrary to some dingbats, Beane was GM of the year a year ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins again one of these days.
  5. Agreed Noggin. It just screams of an Edmunds suck conversion of this thread. Back on topic, Bernard has the speed to be like a Big Nickel or Big Safety package and on special teams. He’ll be in there for fine package defenses against run heavy or TE heavy defenses. As far as drafting as well as FA acquisitions, Beane has been fine. Hell he was GM of the year last year. I’ve made this comment before, but the HOF GM stars multiple times on Late Hits on NFLR, that his lifetime drafting success was 57%. He said to think a GM will hit on almost all GM’s and not miss 40% is foolish. Allen was a hit, Knox is turning into an excellent TE, Oliver has come on strong in the last couple of years, and so on.
  6. We’re tight on cash, we just used a 1st RD draft pick and we have depth once Tre returns. Dane is our depth. Elam will most likely start along with Tre. That’s a heck of a backfield when you Taron, Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde. We don’t need to go after an expensive veteran. We need some $ for signing draft picks and UDFA’s, and we need emergency $ for injuries this season. That’s inevitable for at least one replacement in season.
  7. Ford will probably be gone. Epenesa, and Moss are cheap labor so they should stay. Edmunds and Poyer are valuable in the eyes of McBeane.
  8. I agree Mr. Miyagi. I don’t know if we will maybe make a run at the 30+ market, but they cost a lot even at the minimum. I think we travel through camp, and if we have a key piece injured, then maybe they do a 180. It is a hard cap, and although they can convert more signing bonuses from salary, I think Beane already went pretty far. We had a very good draft with good value.
  9. I thought Feliciano was going to be better, but when he lost weight, he just didn’t look the same. Neuther loss surprised me. Saffold may be getting older, but he is still a solid run blocking G. For those saying O Line is an issue, Beane has worked on it every year since he came to Buffalo.
  10. Dude, No! That’s a mid February conversation, not the day after the draft. That’s ridiculous. Who knows if someone gets hurt, how our guys perform, etc. until last year we were considering another TE, and then Knox flourished. Dont be silly. I know it’s over and want to keep talking about it, but it’s over brother. We can talk after the SB. Then it FA time, then draft time. I’ll agree from now until July it’s dead time.
  11. I couldn’t agree more. Polian on NFLR made the point yesterday morning how little mock draft people know in terms of why real people draft who. I like on NFLR they do a three years later review a draft.
  12. Oh and I Inigo, thank you for such a thoughtful post.
  13. This is a deep WR class, but these days you can say that every year. I’m hopeful today. We could group with a crappy team a bunch of 6th for a much higher pick.
  14. Spags, my JESTS Wiseass friend, you do realize you will always lose twice a year when we have JA17. you will perpetually lose until you get a guy like our guy, and Wilson although may be a competent QB in the making, he’s no Allen. Allen has been in the MVP voting for two years. He’s neck and neck with Mahomes. You need youre unicorn, and you don’t have it. It’s ok as the Cheats, and Fins don’t have it either. You may be closing in on them so good luck as I have nothing against the Jets. Some Jets fans are a pain, but they were just simply jealous of us as a far superior team. The drought ended five years ago. It won’t restart as long as Beane (GM if the year), McD (rated as second or third each year for several years), and most importantly Allen. I know you like having fun so enjoy that of Saleh is the real deal will make you better this year. Maybe you get lucky and make 8-9. You’re absolutely no competition for us.
  15. Well Miss is still cheap so he just was pushed down the depth chart, not gone. If that guy wants to stay on the team, he’s better embrace ST’s.
  16. BC, and you know those draft grades are so accurate (insert sarcasm here). What I like is on NFLR after the draft a couple of different shows do either a 3 or 4 years later rate the draft. The Jets still have Zack Wilson, and we still have Super Allen.
  17. Although his signature role is… The Jets are like Chet. All kidding aside, I’m not worried at all with the teams listed above.
  18. Get used to us taking a mid round RB most years under Beane as Singletary may just wrapping his head around unless a modest contract extension, they’ll move from him. It’s the new NFL. More teams unless they have a very special RB, just keep drafting them and use up over four years. I’ve just accepted we’ll use of our 2-4th round picks anRB almost every year. It’s a waste of $ to pay big $ for a RB when they get hurt more frequently than most other positions.
  19. I wrote in another thread, but should’ve written here is the PFF guys do a weekend show on NFLR, that Bernard is more a dime defense secondary type dude meant for the running teams and heavy TE teams. I thought it was interesting take. As an aside they raved about our 1st and 2nd round picks. I’m not used to PFF guys speaking this highly of the Bills.
  20. 100% my salty friend. You know I like you’re takes as you put some thought into you’re comments. My hope is this will be the first pic we make and maybe bundle up a little if a partner to get the best speedy guy.
  21. Weo, I’m with you in we have Davis as the #2. I know we lost the Chiefs playoff game, but Davis was amazing in that game with 4 TD’s. What more can ask from a #2. If we draft a speed #3 he will absolutely be the #3, and just that, but having said that point, Allen is so polished now, he could benefit from another speed weapon. For anyone interested on NFLR right now Bill Lekas is in with Mr. Polian. Normally only does one night a week the Late hits show, so kind of a treat to hear his opinions.
  22. I agree Don wholeheartedly. Cook should ascend by the end of camp as the #1 RB. My reasoning was we went after the Washington kid in FA, because they want a pass catching RB. He has size and speed. This is going to be one scary offense, and additionally the Titans got worse, and so did the Chiefs. Tua will ever take advantage of Hill’s speed and skills. I’d argue we have the best offense in the AFC, and it’s not close. We also really improved on defense with Elam. Now, I was listening to PFF on NFLR this morning and the two guys mentioned our 3rd RD LB will be our dime defense as he has the speed to keep up with a Kelce and the size to hit him. I loved this draft so far. Now let’s grab a WR, G or TE, and then the other, and a punter in the 7th. Someone write here they read there are per the pundits of three punters that have a draftable grade. The other two picks, I hope we bundle them to move up if we can find a partner to get higher rated picks. We keep all six and more than not will not make the team, or end up on the PS.
  23. Ok, I’ve only read page 1 so no time for all three pages. We saw a heck of a good coaches game for 59 minutes and 47 seconds. McD is not an idiot. Either him or Daboll message somehow never made it in time to Bass. My guess is it was the ST coach who is no longer here. McD is a class act so he never threw verbally anyone under the bus. To the OP, yes CB and a pass catching RB were great pics for completing our team. The notion of some that a LB pick is veiled for the end of Edmunds doesn’t make sense. The guy is too small. We almost always play nickel so adding for a true 4/3 doesn’t make sense. I really though we would’ve picked up the best WR, or G, or TE would’ve been my choice. We’ll see today.
