  1. So Jeremy and Howard had a fun conversation yesterday sparked by the Chargers HC stated Herbert wouldn’t take a snap in the preseason nor has he ever since entering the NFL. In addition, the Chargers HC said he’s not playing any of the starters who are veterans and Inam paraphrasing. If you go on Audacy their show yesterday should still be there on demand. They then as a fun exercise said who should McD sit as they already know what they have in these players. Offense Allen Diggs Davis McKenzie Morse Dawkins Defense Von Oliver Milano Edmunds Basically the whole secondary except for Elam. There is a small argument to play Allen a little on the 3rd game so Dorsey and Allen can get on the same page with play calling. Personally, I agree except for Morse and Dawkins. I see the value of getting our starting O Linemen gelling together for a quarter each PS game. Starting RBs benefit from live action as they don’t get it in camp. On defense there is value in Basham, Epenesa, and Rousseau getting snaps as they are still young. What do you guys think about young guys and backups getting the majority of snaps, and the injury risk is too great in a year where we are hopefully in a SB run. Love to hear you’re arguments. Sure we are all excited, but I’m more excited about seeing our rookies and depth seeing what they can do in game time play. I could care less if we lose all three games. In 2020 we had no preseason and look how well we started that year.
  2. That was funny War. Here’s to another 7-1 beginning, and 1-8 ending season.
  3. Diggs Davis OBJ (mid November pick up) McKenzie Shakir Kumerow Hodgins I think Crowder is a surprise cut. He’s been hurt, has an injury history and been underwhelming from what I keep hearing from the best reporters. Hodgins gets turfed to PS eventually. The interesting debate Sal and Joe had yesterday was do we pick up OBJ now and have our team doctors and training staff work on his rehab in our world class facilities, or do we wait til November, but then compete with other teams like GB, the Rams, and KC for his services.
  4. Tipster, they had to have fun figuring out their lines in the locker room prior to these mock interviews. It was pretty funny so thanks Dingman.
  5. OP, I agree with Thurm if I understand you’re question, but don’t have any knowledge of the referenced website.
  6. That’s a good point and was a BS call.
  7. The Assman. Funny episode.
  8. No argument. The difference is Mahomes doesn’t have the size although close of Allen. I agree we have two new version QB’s that will emerge as the leaders of the NFL for the next decade.
  9. Well, great news Brown was back in practice and even had a couple of nice plays opposite Von. ww still have a month so he has time to have the team just take their time bringing Brown back into the fold.
  10. Yeah, I was just appreciative Sal as always knew the reference and did a nice job explaining the policy. I guess it’s a choice of either the old fashioned standing Buffalo, or the 90’s uni with the red helmet. Id love it as others if we had these three options in a policy change by the league.
  11. i was kidding brother meaning how would you know what that tastes like. Just a harmless joke with no malice.
  12. So JA had a combined between passing and rushing 5170 all purpose yards, and 42 TD’s. Its annoying to me so many pundits only look at passing yards and passing TDs. They add and oh by the way on rushing. Can Tom Brady or even Aaron Rodgers or have they added an additional 600 yards rushing and an additional rushing TDs like 7 on an avg? I think not as there are only a couple of QBs in the league that possess those abilities like Jackson and maybe Murray. The difference is the two referenced QBs can’t hold a candle to JA17’s passing accuracy, strength, vision, and grit. To me not even Herbert can be in the same conversation on both fronts combined. The only ABsho possesses these qualities on both sides in Mahomes. That’s why I predict JA and PH are the two best QBs in the league and are in a class by themselves. I never in my wildest dreams thought we could secure a unicorn twice in 2017 and 18 as we could’ve had both if we didn’t take the trade in 17, and what did happen in 18. The difference in this gamble was we secured by taking the trade one of the best CBs in the league. Im glad Allen is getting these accolades are well deserved IMO.
  13. Now would you know?
  14. Listen on Audacy the segment Sal depicts the rules for NFL teams and tells it all. Current uni, throw back uni, and only if we color rush all red can they red helmet the uni. NFL rules don’t allow it although he agreed it would be great to have the red helmet. they can’t use the red helmet on the traditional uni as that was the standing Buffalo. Seems kind of silly, but it’s the current rule. Sal also mentioned the team is not crazy about the red color rush look.
  15. Karlos Williams for sure. Couldn’t walk away from the ganga or the all you can eat buffet. Terrible decisions on his part. He could’ve really made an impact if he had commitment. Instead his lazy ass is probably parking cars now
  16. This is none of our business. This is a gossip middle school thread. Dalvin nor James did anything wrong. I wouldn’t want my dirty laundry Aires for the world. Not reading through this thread.
  17. This isn’t the final so just a quick glance. Thanks for sharing. Still 3 preseason games and about a month of camp left.
  18. It’s just an enhanced version of table jumping. Like from 400 ft. Up Whoops there goes another one.
  19. Given the new stadium with be completely above ground (below ground current one encourages the swirling winds, and the guy this morning stated on WGR it will be a more vertical view should mean better sight views. It’s also different than Seattle as it’s a 360 tarp so should really cut down on the weather issues. I just wish it were 70,000 seats as they already on the current season are just north of 60,000 season ticket holders.
  20. Yeah Jeremy brought this up this morning, then it was either Sal or Joe amplified that they would still focus on taunting for a 2nd year. It’s a little over the top, but I understand why to reduce fights. I didn’t think we had too many fights in the first place. Standing over a player after a play is a little much, but some of it was tricky tack last year. McD made a good point to his players. Just turn youre head and body to you're team sidelines at you’re bench. You can’t get in trouble celebrating with you’re own teammates.
  21. Well put Eman. It’s not even his twitter schtick, but more so look at the improvement in the slot when McKenzie came in for the second Patriots game.
  22. Exactly. As I wrote in the Feliciano thread, it’s Q. Spain 2.0. Beasely doesn’t even have a job yet, not in free agency, before the draft, post draft and not even before camp. Lastly, there have been a couple injuries around the league in camp and still no workouts as it would be news somewhere. Between his injuries last year, and his outspoken attitude becoming a Thorne for Beane, do you think these GM’s don’t talk. He’ll probably get signed to close to the minimum with some incentives once Slot WRs go on IR.
  23. Well I spoke too quickly. Sal reported this morning Brown has been doing some things on a limited basis so maybe he will be ok in a month. I certainly hope so as I like the kid. Besides he has a tough streak in him and freakishly strong.
  24. No this is Q. Spain 2.0 in a bitter player who was benched and then not retained. Just like the Beasely comments that things aren’t as rosy as a culture on the inside. Bottom line is he was asked to make a $5 mil. Pay cut then told he could go elsewhere. BlaBlaBla. Don’t go away mad, just go away. I liked both of these players when here for awhile, but both regressed. Feliciano possibly because he wasn’t as effective when he lost the weight in 2021. Beasely was still targeted, but his yards after the catch went down and the team looked a lot better when McKenzie took over.
  25. Candidly, I have not watched practice as I live in FL, but you’re comments are pretty spot on. The old adage is you’re backup is doing his job if he can get you to 2 and 2 while Allen is out. Considering Allen rarely is out hurt (he’s been occasionally banged up, but seems to play through most of it), I’m not that worried about our backup. Mitch is not coming back. He has a chance at starting time in Pittsburgh where he’ll never see the field here.
