Tua declares for the draft; do you want Miami to take him?
peterpan replied to krf139's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't watch as many games as I used to, but from what I remember of Tua, he was garbage. I know QBs get over drafted but I can't see him going until round 3 or 4. -
I think you guys are forgetting a lot. Roman, while buffalos OC, had TYROD TAYLOR at QB with no WRs to speak of and no TEs and if I'm remembering right, our offense averaged 27 points per game. (EDIT: We scored 23.7 and 24.9 points per game in 20015 and 2016. In both years we lead the league in rushing) He also took the 49ers to the Superbowl with Kaepernick!!!! Now people think Kaep is out of the league for his politics, that's simply untrue. When Kaep started his kneeling, he HAD ALREADY BEEN BENCHED. He was benched for BLAINE GABBERT of all people. So basically, Kaep is horrible. Roman is a wizard with mobile QBs. He is probably the greatest offensive coach in the history of the game, for mobile QBs (only for mobile QBs, I'm not saying he's been than Joe Walsh or something). I have no idea if he is HC material, but I'd have thought Carolina woulda been a great spot for him. I do like Carolinas hire, though. I'd love to have Roman back as our OC. He would do wonders with Allen.

I love Hughes more than most. But we have to face the facts here and adjust our attitude. Hughes is held on so many plays and he has clearly been black balled by the refs. We need to stop complaing about it and accept that it's going to continue. For that reason, we need to replace Hughes. He is our premier pass rusher and he gets very little pressure. I know it's because he is being held, but the refs just don't call holding against Hughes. Therefore we need to move one. We need pressure from that position.

Should season ticket holders protest?

That has to be against NFL policy, right?!?! -

Actually, the fans sued....and the NFL changed their rules to allow for PI to be a challengable play. -
God I know. Metcalf is the EXACT type of recover this team has needed for 20 years! He would mesh PERFECT with Allen. AAARRHGGGGG

We have 3 years to win the Superbowl. Then Allen gets a $150 million contract or is a free agent. We need to add pieces THIS offseason,. Why? Look at the Vikings. All those new pieces need a season to gel before anything clicks. I just don't see us adding a superstar WR with size, and stud RT, and another TE this off-season. Those players won't hit free agency.

The last few games have me super down on Milano. I'm nno longer counting on him to be here long term.

I just assumed Hughes did nothing and the refs chose him as a scapegoat.

Allen out-playing other playoff QBs
peterpan replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen outplayed Watson for sure. I won't watch any other NFL game. For the same reason I don't watch WWF -
Call me crazy if you wish, but I see the Dolphins becoming the team to beat, not the Jest. They improved light-years in one year. They clearly have a good coach. They can actually beat the Cheaters. Fitz and Gailey is a great offensive combo. They have 4 first round picks to build with in a loaded draft. And Josh Rosen may still be a great QB when he gets his shot. The Jets will be looking for a new coach and GM very soon. And I have no reason to believe they'll get it right next time.

Post Playoff Game - Is Josh Allen the Bills Franchise QB?
peterpan replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The answer is no, because he just is not one currently. It's likely he will become one, but right now, he's not. -
I've always liked Daboll and what he has done here. After yesterday I've really soured on this whole staff and a number of players. Daboll called like no run plays in overtime. Wtf? I have to think that Chan Gailey or Anthony Lynn Or Greg Romen get us like 30 points in that game. Maybe I'm over reacting but I want Daboll gone now.

Duke today, did the bad outweigh the good?
peterpan replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The most telling thing to me was, at the end of half and at the end of regulation, with only seconds remaining, Duke Williams was targeted in 4 of the 4 passes. It speaks volumes that our best option in those scenarios is a guy who was inactive the whole year. -
I get what you are saying, but I don't believe that would be the correct call. I've only seen illegal forward pass called when the player is very clearly passing the ball. Not just an underhand toss. There's no historical argument to call that a pass. For example, the plaxico burress spike, was called a fumble. Even tho he intentionally threw the ball and it moved forward. https://youtu.be/rNOvBSTqLoc

Thanks for bringing that up. The playclock had expired and should have been delay of game, 3rd and 23.

I'd like to know if McD could have challenged that, and why he didn't. The dude clearly never kneeled.

Maybe Allen's fumble should have been ruled no fumble thn?? He was CLEARLY going to the ground, ie, giving himself up!!!

Late Ford personal foul call a joke
peterpan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a reason the rule reads FORCIBLE contact and not just contact. The reasons is - the rule exists to prevent injury. What Ford did was correct and legal
