  1. I know, that was one of my biggest gripes with the play calling ,that Shady was not targeted more on dump offs, screens, swing passes. Get him 1 on 1 with a LB and some space , and you're looking at a potential huge play every time he touches the ball. He has terrific hands for a back and his vision is not human! It was baffling why he wasn't targeted more on those type of passes and I'm super confident that Dennison will give Shady way more opportunities in the pass game, especially with his FB able to catch passes and make defenses pay, Dennison can get very creative with those two
  2. You're absolutely right and I really believe Jonathan Williams could be that guy, but if not, could easily see one of these unknown backs make a name for themselves, for the 3rd straight year. 2015 it was Karlos, last year TD Mike, I'm sure someone will stand out in TC. And then we have the big bruiser in Tolbert for those short yardage situations Thanks. Appreciate it Go BILLS!!!!!!
  3. Very well said!Taylor has such a unique skillset , if you design an offense he could maximize his best skills, watch out because that offense could be deadly. How would you prepare for a guy like Taylor, Shady and Watkins
  4. Wonder where we could get an all purpose threat at RB nowadays??
  5. He's just better at blocking guys, especially in space, he's quicker and way more versatile then Felton, like the poster pointed out. He was by far the best blocking FB in the league. Felton was all power, and was a helluva FB, Dimarco has that same power but with way more speed and is a threat to catch the football
  6. Thanks for posting this. Sammy's presence alone makes defenses have to respect the pass game. Usually devoting a safety to watch Watkins, versus creeping into the box and zeroing in on McCoy.. Now just imagine a fully healthy Sammy,Clay and that number should increase even more... Not to mention Zay ,who should be ano upgrade over Woods, strictly from a size, speed, and potential standpoint. This offense can be very dangerous
  7. Oh definitely. We really struggled on 3rd & short situations, and I want to think that was a huge reason for signing Tolbert and bringing in the top blocking FB (by a pretty significant margin),in Dimarco. Expect Freeman to feel his Koss in ATL. Williams is also capable.
  8. I agree, and what better way to get a rythm in the passing game going than to dump it off to Shady? He was criminally underutilized in designed pass plays outta the backfield with Buffalo. Brady,Rodgers,Matty Ice,Big Ben etc etc all have a high number of attempt's to their RB's, Taylor didn't have that with Roman/Lynn Dennison Will have an array of short passes to the RB, and with McCoy being one of those RB's, he could really put up some monster numbers!
  9. Exactly. I wouldn't be happy with under 200 yards because of the increase in passes to the RB's, specifically Shady who has fantastic hands and ability to gain huge chunks of yards after the catch. Think about how underutilized he was in the pass game the last 2 years, it's a huge strength of his and Roman/Lynn did not utilize him nearly enough, those swing passes can gain confidence in Taylor and start some momentum in the passing game
  10. With Dennison using more outside run plays that rely on the runner cutting back and finding a hole, as well as more pass attempt's going to McCoy, he will have the opportunity to put up MVP numbers and drive us to the playoffs. Look what Dennison did with Arian Foster and while he's / was a great RB, Shady is on another level. I think McCoy isn't mentioned enough or given enough credit for what he brings to the table as the engine to our offense. Just imagine how much better he could have been last year with a consistent D ,let alone a play caller that is a perfect match for Shady. He's easily a top 10 skills position player and if Watkins can play to his full potential,we suddenly have 2 elite, rare talents running around in that offense. Not to mention an anticipated improved defense will also make Taylor look much much better. I know he's respected on here but I still feel Shady is underappreciated a bit and doesn't get brought up enough when talking about Buffalo's potential future success
  11. Unreal.. talk about dysfunctional.. Trading a 3rd year former 1st Rd pick for a guy you released 2 years ago.. This board would be livid if Buffalo did a move like that
  12. We have Tolbert ,which the more I think about, the more I love the signing. We were pitiful at 3rd and short. He is a heady , short yardage back who will improve our 3rd & short success big time, with DimarCo leading the way! We need one of these unknown RBS to step up. We found TD Mike and Karlos to produce in back to back years. I'm sure we can find another back that strives in this offense. This staff created plenty competition for RB 2-3, and I'm confident an unknown will pop up and be productive
  13. This kid is the only reason I didn't sweat TD Mike leaving and why the Bills I knew he was banged up and only a rookie and I felt his running style would translate to the NFL and make him a success. I expect him to be a force this year. Similar running style to Gills but more power and speed! 3rd straight year we're going to lead the league in rushing! Well look at who we added. The top run blocking FB by a long shot , kept our very good o line intact, and added a potentially huge upgrade at RT in Dawkins. Not only will the starting 5 be one of the best in the league, but our depth is ridiculous. Groy,Mills, Henderson,Duccasse. All these depth guys would start on many teams! Last year watching Shady was a thing of beauty, and it's only going to get better folks, as Dennison has a running scheme that fits Shady PERFECTLY. It's going to be exciting to watch
  14. Or we could keep Sammy, a top 10 WR when healthy, and get a top 5 prospect in the draft with our 2 # 1 picks
  15. I would include Lawson because it's a scheme change, and he missed all off season activities which is crucial for a rookie. I think we improved in many areas, OL-Improved (Dawkins looks to be a big upgrade at RT). LT LG C RG areally all locks and are great together. Lost Kujo but get Henderson back, Duccasse, kept Groy, Mills probably becomes depth now. That's a very deep, very talented OL. WR-Improved (Asuing Watkins is available full time),added Zay and Holmes, got a speedster in Listenbee to replace Glass Goodwin. Got depth in Philly Brown. RB - PUSH. We lost Gills, which hurts but gained the best blocking FB , added Tolbert and have a 2nd year guy in J Williams that has serious upside. Remember, two years in a row an unknown RB lit it up in Karlos and then Gillissee. A lot is because Shady is so special, and it's hard for a D to go from Shady to a 1 cut back or power back. And also because the OL is that good. TE- Push. You can make a case for upgrade. O'Leary who suprisingly was a very solid #2 TE is now in year 3 and we added some interesting players, specifically the 6'6 Logan Thomas and Blake Annen. DL- Upgrade. This is mainly because of the scheme change which is better suited for Shaq, Jerry , Darues and a guy I feel will absolutely strive in this scheme, Adolphus Washington. I love our DT depth. DE depth scares me a bit but I'm sure Lorax will be playing LB and DE. LB - Upgrade. I'm a huge Ragland fan, I thought he'd be the most successful LB out of the class, because he shows such amazing instincts. Ppl claim he's slow but I disagree. He plays fast. He has super quick decision making. He's going to bring the nasty in the middle of that field. Now with Hodges signed , this group is looking good and deep. I'm also very high on Milano, the kid can flat out play.. Suddenly a guy like Prestonsburg Brown is depth , so that looks like a group with serious potential. DB - Push. We lose an above average Gilmore, sorry, he's not elite, )thank God we didn't pay 14m), and Robey. But we got Darby and Seymour, both very young, both showed many flashes in a scheme that put tons of pressure on em. Our 1st rounder ,White looks to be an immefiate starter with a lot of potential. That has the POTENTIAL to be one of the best young trios in the game. Love the vision. Added a solid vet in Shareece Wright. We need a guy like Charles James or Leonardo Johnson to step up. As for S, we massively upgraded with Micah Hyde and Poyer over Graham and Meeks/Duke and an unavailable Aaron Williams . We need a guy like Colt Anderson, Dowling to step up and they have a bunch of 2ND year players at S , hopefully one of them can step up. But the starters are better and the depth is the same, so it's anot upgrade imo. Coaching- Upgrade. Self explanatory
  16. I'm sure Lorax will play some DE . I'd imagine in the nickel it will be him aND Hodges mostly, but I still have a feeling Ragland is a stud and by week 5,6 , he's going to be on that field. His instincts make up for any lack of speed. I see a clear cut 3 down LB. This is a good problem to have. We got some pieces we can make interchangeable
  17. I'm not too worried. Yes it's a young secondary but Hyde will be running the show back there and have our young corners where they're supposed to be.
  18. Wow, very nice addition. This D has legit potential to return to being top 5-10. So much potential on that side,Shaq,Reggie,Seymour,White, Adolphus,Poyer. I think even the most pessimistic of fans gotta be hopeful for the future, this team is really taking shape. A much improved D equals a much better Tyrod as well.. As some pointed out, this just feels different than the last 15 years,
  19. That's true but Tyrod has us up was it 3 or 4 scores in a hostile environment, in the 2nd half, the D HAS to close that game out, I'm sorry.
  20. That's a valid point. I guess what I was getting at is that we were competitive in most those games. A lot of times a team might Win by 6-7 but the game was over with 5+ minutes in the 4th.. A bruised , undisciplined Bills team was in nearly every game, and I just feel optimistic that those last minute losses can turn to W''s with this talent and the way the coaching staff utilize the talent. Watkins and Dareus come to mind as special talents that SHOULD have bounce back years, I also don't feel we lost much, Gilmore was above average imo, not elite, his production can be replaced, and I disn't like letting Corey Graham go personally but I love the Hyde signing. With all the negativity around here (the 17 years is wearing on me too), I just wanted to remind folks that there is a lot to be excited and optimistic about.
  21. Oh, that's right , they figured him out.His last 2 starts Buffalo scored 64 points. He went to Sea and Oak in his final 7 weeks, 2 very good teams and 2 very tough places to play and easily did enough to win. The chaotic defense blew those.2. Taylor can lead his team to wins. Point blank period
  22. Why?We nearly did it under Rex! Why is it so far fetched we can do it under McDermott?
  23. The upgrade I feel we received in coaching. There's a big reason why though. In 2016, the Bills lost 6 of 9 games by 7 points or less, including 6 games by 6 points or less. Throw in a week 17 Jet game we basically lost on purpose, that's 8 losses and 6 were by more less 1 score... @Sea VsMia @Mia @Bal VsNYJ All were veryyyyy winnable games. Good coaching and a better system over the chaotic one Rex had , and you can easily turn 3 of those into W's. That's 10 Wins. No crazy analyitics, just some facts, proving the Bills were an extremely competitive team and if you upgrade the coaching on a team that is close, it can go a long way in producing a competitive football team. I believe we massively upgraded. This group needed more discipline and accountability. McD and Co. bring that, as well as a extremely high football i.q.. 10 Wins is very attainable, stop listening to the chronic negative fan, that seems to prefer the negativity, and look at facts and legit bright spots, that show this team has the potential to be competitors immediately Edit- The Bills won only 2 of 7 games by 7 or less points. 6 games by less than 6 points..
