  1. Starting to see a trend in our picks, guys with zero off the field issues, that love being on the field, which is a great environment to create and the opposite of the environment Rex had with alot of questionable characters and lack of discipline and accountability. The kids mentality is compared to Cushing? Sign me up, even if he's undersized, I know he's competing on every down and they say he attacks like a heat seeking missle!! Definitely going to be fun to watch in pre season
  2. Oh and when you put up 1623 yards from scrimmage in 15 games , including - 14 TD!!! 234 carries 5.4 YPC 50 Rec. All with the fewest passing yards in the league? Then you have every right to be extremely cocky, and that's a great sign for us fans,it shows he's hungry for next year and focused on having a better year! That's Shady being Shady! Let him talk away. I love him for being one of the best RB I've ever watch play.
  3. "I bet his dad wishes I was his son!" Lmao Sorry but, That's classic.. Shame we have to wait til Week 15 =/
  4. I feel you !I don't remember being this excited/optimistic in our picks in quite a while. Although I did love our first 3 picks last year. As for Zay, he is a really good WR that I feel will be another instant starter. When you watch his tape, he is a beast over the middle, no fear in making the catch and getting popped. Hes Not super fast but he is super dependable, hands are great and he has a knack for getting a few extra yards. I see him as a chain mover and he brings a different type of WR to that group. A tall , dependable, possession type WR that is willing and able to exploit the middle of the field. And he's another McDermott type. Leader, competitor, got his head on straight. Great first 2 picks and we have that 2018 1st Rd pick in the stash! Interesting comparison. I can totally see some Fitz in him as he gets coached up. The dude catches EVERYTHING, even in crowded areas, Zay is going to go all out to make that play, his dependability is really pretty amazing. I can see him as a real chain mover. I hope # 14 can stay on the field because both these guys can consistently win in single coverage
  5. Looks like we'll have 3 from last year as well. Shaq, Ragland and Seymour. Washington will play a huge role as well and potentially J Williams. Plus Listenbee is a complete question mark. So this is shaping up to be the 2nd straight draft where we land multiple starters.. Slo
  6. Dough just say exactly what we've rehearsed and practiced for the last 10 hours. Don't mess this one up too....
  7. It's been leaked that Buffalo was going to choose Lattimore had the trade never happened. So it's a simple question, would you be happier with Lattimore or the current situation??? No clue how to put up a poll but I'd love to see the thoughts and approval rating regarding the pick. I'd choose White and the picks by a long shot. What about you?
  8. I'll double that bet!His versatility is fantastic. I'm already envisioning him at slot, Hyde at S on same side, going to cause QB''s problems. Both ball hawks, great instincts and will allow Buffalo to get extremely creative given their versatility. This secondary as a WHOLE impresses me. Ton of upside, time will tell...
  9. I say that meaning that I think he will prosper as a starter. Even if it's mainly as the slot cb in the nickel. Everywhere I look. Every scouting report talks about him having elite coverage. Bring able to mirror his WR , has great versatility and ball skills as well... And this was against elite SEC talent, for 4 years!! Even his weaknesses on his scouting report aren't exactly too weak.. "The biggest concerns with White are his top-end speed and hand usage. White doesnt show elite speed or the ability to recover. Its tough to really gauge his speed because hes rarely out of position. His instincts keep him in proper position the majority of the time. White tends to use his hands too much in coverage. He needs to learn to run with the receiver and avoid contact. This issue may lead to a high number of pass interference or holding calls early in Whites NFL career" He might lack top end elite speed but his instincts and technique make up for it in a big way, I feel thesame about Ragland, for the record. And the hand touching can be fixed. He lacks elite speed but has a very good burst, and is extremely quick in short spaces, which one can argue is better than having great top end speed I think we got not only a starter, but a very good one. And this secondary as a whole is shaping up to be very interesting with tons of potential and young talent. Let's see Frazier coach these boys up and we can have a helluva secondary
  10. Yes PFF had him as best CB and 2nd best secondary player behind Jamal Adams. If you ask me if I'd take White a 3rd and 1st next year or Lattimore, I'm taking White and the picks ALL DAY. White played in the SEC , against the best competition in the country and opposing QBs had a 61 QB rating while targeting him. 14 pass break ups. 3 TD allowed and to be rated as PFFs top CB is awesome. And this scheme doesn't need a top 3 CB to be successful. I feel they are more focused on being successful as a group. PFF showing more love https://www.profootballfocus.com/draft-5-favorite-picks-from-round-1/
  11. 2015-Darby,Miller,O Leary, Karlos 2016 Lawson, Rags,Washington, J Will, Seymour, Listenbee Tons of question marks but tons of potential. Injuries can't be blamed on scouting Yes I actually have complete faith they will utilize those picks correctly...
  12. It's a flawed system. Best thing we can go by is the Hou Cle trade. Cleveland was at 12. Hou at 25. Browns just got a 2018 1st Rd draft pick in return . We were 2 spots higher, and we landed 2 spots lower but got a first and a 3rd , top 100 pick this year in a very deep ,quality draft. You can hit gold in the 3rd for sure and now we have 2 cracks on it. Comparing to the Browns trade, it sounds like a good and fair deal.
  13. I keep saying how important that 3rd is in this specific draft. We now have 2 opportunities to strike gold in the 3rd where plenty of very talented players await. ..KC has zero And no 1st next year, all for a guy that has nothing that screams "Franchise QB"
  14. Yup! For anyone saying we got no value, the Browns were at 12, moved to 25 and got just a 2018 1st rounder. We were 2 spots higher and moved 2 spots lower but also go a 3rd round, top 100 pick aND in a draft like this, that has a little bit more value , just knowing how many studs will still be available, great trade, great start to what is hopefully an epic draft
  15. "Journalist's" click bait , hot takes, humans luster for drama. Basically social media is to blame!
  16. Foster doesn't fit what McD''s is looking for, as far as his personality /leadership, plus injuries, especially in the first round! McD has stressed how important that is , and White was the main Captain on LSU.. Started 4 years, played superb in 3 of them. As far as him not being a difference maker? Again I couldn't disagree more. I think he fits the scheme like a glove. If it's strictly in the slot, then so be it, we are in nickel over 60% of the time. NE makes a living off attacking the slot. Just think about how many big plays came from attacking our slot. I think Micha Hyde being on the team as well, shows that McD values leaders and versatility, and those two, on the same side could be a helluva nightmare for opposite qbs. And a 3rd is extra valuable in such a deep draft. Plus the 1st! We win, clearly. Basically talks about him like he's one of, if not the best cb in the draft. Besides the playing outside part, which really bothers him. That Amari Cooper story is dope too. I think we got a helluva player. I feel he was a wonderful chess piece to add to out defense versus the Pats.He even got described as moving like Edelman
  17. Nothing to see here. Isn't this a positive? Shouldnt the coach and GM be working together to better the team?? People just can't give Whaley his credit on a fantastic round 1
  18. Just to clarify my premise - A 1st round CB who is Expected to jump on the field immediately and produce at a high level, but this pick shows me they felt they could upgrade the secondary as a GROUP. As a group I feel Darby, Seymour, White, Hyde, who will be the veteran and emotional leader , and Poyer who is a vet as well ... And judging by these kids talent level, I feel we couldrealistically have a very good Secondary. A lot of versatile pieces, a lot of heady, smart players and I love the vision.
  19. I'd like to add that the 3rd Rd pick has more value this year, than in any draft in recent memory, so striking gold would not be a shocker considering how many highly talented prospects will be available in Round 3!
  20. I totally understand your train of thought. .. My response would be that CB in this scheme doesn't demand too much pressure on our guys, so having a better talent would have been nice , but White fits this scheme like a top 10 pick. Truth be told his biggest knock is that he can't play outside in the NFL. I'd if he could or not. I'm very confident he can play inside, and play it at a high level. Slot CB is a necessity to take the Division. Oh and he was a leader. His awareness and instincts are beautiful. He is going to play inside like an All Pro,but he's versatile enough to play anywhere in the secondary. Great pick ,him and Michael Hyde on the same side? Going to cause CHAOS!!!!
  21. I disagree and feel it was a great night, grabbed valuable assets for the future and got a fantastic FIT for McD's scheme! Look at his scouting report, watch the film. He's a 4 year starter, playing against some of the toughest competition in the country. Being a LEADER ,a main leader on a big time school like LSU is no small feat. He may be ranked here or there but he's a helluva fit in this scheme. Just cause he wasn't projected that way, doesn't mean he can't perform at an elite level. Darby White Seymour could turn out to be one really talented trio of Cbs
  22. I know some of these guys football i.q''s are high enough to know this, but unfortunately a lot of good posters just cannot give Whaley some much deserved credit. Snatched an instant starter, aND valuable assets for the future. That's a near perfect first Rd imo
  23. I think they got hosed. That 3rd Rd pick , in this draft?? It's worth way more than your typical year. Such a deep class, you can easily strike gold in the 3rd. We add an instant starter. We receive their 1st Rd next year! Again, that 3rd rounder could be gold. Then they pick Mahomes!?!? And talk about us getting hosed? Lol. They essentially wasted 2 2st Rd picks and a 3rd . This trade will set them back imo,and plunge us forward
  24. Exactly lolHow can anyone even think McDermott is working on the draft like that lol.. Whaley and the Bills have million dollars invested in scouts.. I'm sure McD had an impact on the pick but he had zero impact on the wheeling and dealing. .. Gets ,imo, an instant starter/leader/contributor to a suddenly very interesting secondary,a young, talented core, filled with potential. Give the man credit when it's due!! We get an extra 3rd , in a remarkably deep draft, that pick could turn out to be gold.. Also gets a 2018 1st round pick! I mean that's an A grade to me... Would like to see the Whaley haters give him his due! !!! You hear the story where it was some sort of event, I believe Lattimore or another big time cb was getting absolutely smoked by Amari Cooper. White comes in and shuts him down! I think it's a CBS sports clip.. Point is I feel we got a top 10 talent, people are so hung up on the fact the slot might be his best bet , but teams are in nickel 60% of the time, so it has become extremely important, NE has been exploiting it for years. Good to see them building up the secondary as a WHOLE... As well as piling up assets for the future. ..
