  1. It's official we're in full tank mode..Wow Nickovich,Long and Sheard has killed that Pat's run D,and if Hightower is out for s long period,we could dominate in the trenches. Gillisslee looked ALOT different with that OL too, put some respect on our OL
  2. Why..Big names mean nothing, McD is cut from the cloth of playing as a team, we could definitely contend immediately. Just cause these idiots on ESPN don't talk about us don't let that fool you
  3. They showed chinks in their armor I can't recall seeing in forever. Boy did they miss Edelman on O, Nickovich,Long ,Sheard, then Hightower in the front 7... That was amazing, they looked BAD. Not first game rust bad, looked like problems that could persist all year..
  4. Mr Inconsistent Even Belicheck can't fix that. Maybe just maybe this McDermott guy knows what he's doing? And that Pat run D without Nickovich,Sheard and Long, all vets, looked horrendous. Maybe the time has come sooner than we think. No injuries and we're competing
  5. I'd be careful with that. Can see Bills put up 30+ , something like 31-13 final
  6. Man I was about to snap and go on a rant because this tanking talk is so ridiculous. But I saw you take initiative with your post.Maybe just maybe these guys know wtf they ate doing. The talent is there. 4 days til kickoff and this talk stops because the product on the field will clearly show you tank enthusiasts that this team can contend now
  7. Like I said, this is great news for us. We'll be playing Miami in their 14th and 16th straight game... Huge advantages
  8. Especially with a QB like Cutler, if things start spiraling out of control, pun intended, they don't have a crucial bye week to Right the ship. And we will be their 14th and 16th Straight game! Advantages I tell ya
  9. Deeper RB stable, best blocking FB in the game, and the biggie, a much improved D, I guarantee it. Interested what Taylor could do without a bi polar D,one he can count on,I'm sure it takes some pressure off him,and can allow him to be more aggressive... And with our elite run game, defense's are very tired by the 4th, maybe just maybe this staff knows exactly what it's doing and we are contending this year, which I genuinely expect
  10. I almost feel like things are too calm 4.5 days from opening kickoff...Not a familiar feeling lol but I'll take it. A win is a win and 1-0 is above 500.. Adds confidence.. I guess this is how Pat's fans feel during Bills week for much of the drought
  11. In the back of your head your thinking maybe these guys know exactly what they're doing, and we are competing for playoff position this year...
  12. Yeah I think he was very high on Darby but just being brutally honest, even at FSU , everybody knew he had elite cover skills ,but the knock was always finding and making a play on the ball , which looks like he'll be targeted more and more on the deep ball , in hopes of a pass interference at worse..Man I feel for Ragland, that injury could cost him millions, all pro's,etc..
  13. The Jauron Levy comparisons have been funny. Considering McD is almost a polar opposite to the lifeless Jauron, and in turn our team looked lifeless on many Sundays.I don't see this team in that same realm
  14. Perhaps McD and Beane are great football minds and we see it immediately
  15. Not surprised one bit. He was a stud for a whole year , got injured and is in a perfect scheme to maximize his strengths.. McD has had a keen eye for DB talent especially. Gaines obviously flashed what he looks for in a CB. I said a week ago, him and White are going to be a helluva tandem
  16. Fair play.I was going off the last 5 regular seasons. Zero fumbles. There's a difference between having ball security issues and having a defender make a helluva hit to jar the ball loose. I just think this staff values ball security and I agree that, a very good D and elite run game equates to wins. Williams fumbled twice in less than 30 touches last year. Dimarco also has many more touches in the pass game. When has Baynard fumbled in a real game?
  17. It's funny, if Jim Shorts was simply our DC for 15 and 16 seasons and everything stayed the same,I truly believe Whaley is not only still here, but we would have been playoff bound already and expectations would be sky high right now. He had many faults but he provided talent, unfortunately when the O went from terrible to average-above average, Rex came and dismantled what would have been a consistent top 5-7 D under Shorts.
  18. Here I am pal.We don't know how they fared in TC. This OL, defenses need to commit extra eyes on Taylor , which opens up huge running lanes. Karlos and Gillisse are proof of that. This is nothing like 1970s fb
  19. And I love it. I feel this staff has a clear and affirmative vision. Ball security, Top 10 D, Top 5 run game has been a recipe for success in every era of football. Williams had 28 total touches last year and fumbled twice. Meanwhile, Baynard, who is a similar runner ,has zero career fumbles. Dimarco has zero career fumbles. Tolbert hasn't fumbled in 5 years. Yes Taiwan has had fumble issues but I guess the staff feels he is more versatile with ST and adds a different dynamic with his elite speed. Oh and don't forget Tyrod Taylor who is an elite runner. We have a proven elite run game for two years and a defense that looks noticably quicker and more aggressive. It's very realistic they finish top 10 or better and the run game is top 5 or better. Limit turnovers and this is an instant recipe for success and contention this year. I'm getting a little tired of the tank talk. "McDermott doesn't care about winning" statements, I'm sure McD,Beane and Dennison hated their Super Bowl experience 2 years ago ,SMH. Give this team a few games and be prepared to be pleasently surprised, there's an obvious vision and motivation behind these moves. 10+ wins
  20. Except not one former Panther is a starter! And besides Tolbert and maybe Klay, no former Panther is going to see significant playing time. This is nothing like Rex , Mangini, etc. The overreacting is real
  21. And the fact Baynard and Taiwan are in the backfield tells you that the staff is totally fine with what they bring to the table as opposed to Williams. Tolbert Shady and Jones all have very different styles running the ball.. My gripe is Hodges. Who is our backup mlb?? I know Preston has looked like a stud and will be on the field for majority of the game but you need a backup And the fact Baynard and Taiwan are in the backfield tells you that the staff is totally fine with what they bring to the table as opposed to Williams.
