  1. Anything’s possible.
  2. Wow, he’s a bigger p***y than Phaneuf. And I didn’t think that was possible.
  3. She should have used Max von Sydow’s face.
  4. Au contraire! Everyone knows that all 14 of those picks will be made with the unique genius that only the New England Patriots*** possess.
  5. Nope. Gotta be Tre White. As the only one who has his own goalie instructional academy, he makes the most sense.
  6. The music throughout this series has been as big a character as any.
  7. Indeed. Win and the positive attention will follow. But it ain't like the Jest and 'Phins are racking them up, either, so their inclusion and our exclusion in that ESPN segment isn't credible.
  8. Question: are the people that are dissatisfied their predictions didn’t come true, the same people who complain about shows being too predictable?
  9. The back shoulder slant? Hmm.
  10. Can you please reduce that to its lowest terms? Oh, and show your work. Thanks.
  11. Maxx Crosby, DE, Eastern Michigan.
  12. I’d be surprised if Crosby started right off the bat. I see him as a situational pass rusher his first year or two until he adds some bulk and gets stronger.
  13. Oliver fell to 9 because the Raiders and Giants made unexpected picks at 4 and 6.
  14. They've been rushing it since season 2. Perfectly understandable given the constraints of episodic tv story telling. IMO, fans have been rushing it far more, though, with their own versions of how the story should go.
  15. If I'm Kingsford charcoal, I'm on the phone with Hound's agents to discuss making him our spokesperson.
  16. Per your last two paragraphs, this is the double edged sword of creating a hugely successful and popular show. It creates the millions who become fans and follow it religiously, who invest themselves emotionally into various character arcs over the years. But the bi-products of that is those same legions of dedicated, emotionally invested fans create their own versions of plot and resolution, that they invariably become disappointed when things don't go as envisioned.
  17. True, that. For crissakes, they made a human pin cushion of Wun Wun and then a shot in the eye to get him down.
  18. I suspect a lot of the “explaining” will occur in the prequel series currently in production.
  19. Are you confusing White Walkers (generals) with wights (their soldiers), perhaps? Sam Tarly killed a White Walker with a dragon glass dagger found at the Fist of the First Men. John killed one at Hardhome with valerian steel as well. And of course we saw another White Walker killed and shattered with steel (and their wights shattered as a result) when John and the boys went north of the wall to bring back a dead soldier to show Cersei. Lots of wights were smashed with regular swords and other weapons in the few other times we’ve seen them engaged.
  20. I disagree. Littlefinger gave it to Bran and Bran gave it to Arya, who trained with it afterward. That dagger became hers in every sense of the word. I love the irony of the dagger that played such a prominent role in starting the war at the series beginning, played such a huge role in winning the battle in the war against the dead. Yeah, I know all that. I think you misunderstood my post in response to DC Tom. Perhaps.
  21. I guess, but a routine sword could have done the same. I was hoping to see White Walkers shattering from being stabbed by valerian steel and their wight minions exploding as a result. It didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the episode so it’s all good, but for all the talk and build up of the importance of dragon glass and valerian steel to fight the army of the dead, I thought it would play a bigger role.
  22. Me, too. The only valerian steel that mattered was Arya’s dagger.
  23. Good point. At this stage of their respective careers, Singletary is a far better RB than Metcalf is a WR. There was simply no reason to reach for a WR at that stage. And no argument exists, imo, to have selected a WR over Oliver and Ford. Not even close.
  24. When Joel Ward of the Caps scored the OT goal to win game seven vs. the favored Bruins in 2012, chants of “N-word” rained down from the stands. Disgusting. Apologies for derailing the thread and the honoring of Hondo, but I thought it bore mentioning considering the context of your post above.
