  1. I’d expect another somewhat slow play considering his competition for snaps. Diggs, samuel, shakir, Kincaid, knox. I don’t think any of the guys that will available at 28 will be 75% snap players in 2024. Possibly if we trade up for Thomas or Mitchell.
  2. I love what they did. Low risk, low salary with some upside. I’d take both over all the QBs they had last year and it barely cost them anything. Are they long term? 🤷🏻‍♂️ but they are upgrades good enough to possibly win a playoff game or more of their D is legit
  3. I’d take Latu over everyone except the consensus top 4 WRs. I don’t think this will an option though. He should be a top 20 pick. Can’t see him availble at 28. No chance a team like AZ should pass on him I’d also consider Murphy’Jr and Newton over any WR not named harrison, Nabers, Odunze, Thomas jr and Mitchell. I think they’re rated higher and can help transform our pass rush.
  4. put it this way, allen didn’t flame out. our supporting cast that season was awful. Any plan had little chance of success for the 2018 season. The only thing you can go on is what actually DID happen with regards to his development. 2018 wasn’t the only season in which they had a plan for him. As a hole, they plan has worked. Acting as if his decision on who to start during Allens rookie year is the say all end all doesn’t jive with reality
  5. I suppose i’d trade our first next year plus other picks for MHj, Nabers or Odunze. The actual cost will be too much for Beane, so I don’t think it’s an option trading up for them. i wouldn’t trade next years first to trade up for anyone else in this draft.
  6. Shanahan isn’t playing Mahomes in rd 2 and he’s playing against bum QBs to get to the SB. if the bills were in the nfc, I think our conference results would’ve been much better
  7. This is a poor take imo. His plan worked out great. There is no doubt
  8. He really did look incredibly weak. Losing his balance and/or falling down in a couple instances in which it looked like he should’ve been able to maintain his stability. Maybe being sick had something to do with that, so I’m glad that we brought in on a visit. He was high on my list before the combine and is the only guy that really fell out of my favor after his showing
  9. Ah yes. The great Broderick Bunkley! along with most of you, I almost died when I heard Donte Whitner’s name announced. It was Ngata or bust that year for me
  10. I think we’ve taken a step back @ S, IOL, Edge - safety- losing Poyer and Hyde will hurt imo. Some think they were terrible last year, but I disagree. Neither were terrible. Neither were nearly as good as they have been in their careers, but they were still solid, yet unspectacular - IOL- we’ve currently taken a step back with Edwards in and Morse out. -edge- we’ve currently taken a step back losing Floyd. But I do think von will be close to what floyd was last year. Call me crazy. Floyd was 💩 in the last 1/3 of the season and playoffs. We will likely address edge with one of our first 3 picks and we could end up being equal to or better getting after the QB next season. Once the roster is complete, i think we’ll be better @ WR, LB and possibly DT. -We’ll be better @ TE because Kincaid will be better in year 2. - WR- a draft pick plus samuel (and Hollins) >>> gabe, Harty, Sherfield. - LB Milano returns- Bernard and dorian with another year experience and morrow >> matawasteofrodterspotvich -DT- currently lesser due to lack of backup 3t, but Phillips and settle were somewhat negative entities and Linval was only playing because we were without daquan. I think Beane will add a better backup 3T ——we’re better at QB (Mitch > Kyle), equal at CB (with potential to be better) and equal @ RB (Murray was a jag) Overall, I don’t think we’re much worse off if worse at all. Hopefully the improvement at WR will change the complexion of our offense. -additionally, the subtraction of Dorsey will be an improvement jmo
  11. He’s a stud. His only problem will be being drafted by the Bears.
  12. Great post. 💯 And the bolded is rarely talked about in the offseason……speed, explosiveness, vertical. That’s what we talk about in March and April. And then the January cold comes around and physicality often rules.
  13. I hear ya. I hope they go all offense too. I just don’t expect them to put any less focus on improving our pass rush. This is their way. That doesn’t necessarily mean they use our first pick on a pass rusher. I think WR is the likely pick but I expect them to take the BPA out of WR, pass rusher or possibly even OT
  14. My guess is we’ll always be in the market for one until we get a difference maker. I don’t think giving up on drafting the 2nd most important aspect of football is a good idea. QB > Pass rush > everything else.
  15. I blame Brandon Staley. What a bum that guy turned out to be. Defensive guru aka product of Aaron Donald. Austin isn’t very good. But he’s not awful. He can hold his own in the middle. I thought he had some promise at PSU. most importantly, I hope that this eliminates us from drafting a 1T early. I didn’t think we would, as Beane hasn’t really ever taken a true 1T. Harrison Phillips was never really that imo. But this signing should allow us to draft Oliver’s backup rather than Daquan. Hate spending picks on NTs unless it’s rd 5-7 Meh. You’re not going to be saying that after we draft a pass rusher in rd 1! 🤣
  16. Not confused at all. Contested catches are his entire game and during the 2023 season, he secured 33% of them….vs Acc defenses. He’s made several spectacular grabs (and rams) and if we drafted him I’d be excited at the prospect of him making some highlight reel plays for us, but I hope we don’t draft him. I think nfl DBs will be all over him.
  17. doesn’t seem like a McB fit to me. Separation skills seem to be their thing and he is lacking. His contested catch % was 💩 playing vs college kids. I don’t think he’s a total bust and might be worth a shot in rd 3, but I don’t think I’d want him in rd 2 either. Guess it all depends who else is still on the board
  18. He must be worried that he’ll run in the 4.7’s! hard pass on Coleman!
  19. Yes…..that’s half, like I said. And half of 73 is 36.5. You said 31. 31…..
