  1. Interesting info. Thanks for posting Just interested in what would your game plan be if we traded for olave? Give up a 1st and more and sign him to a 27-30M extension? I’d be down as he’s just what we need on the field, but there’s a lot of risk with him. 5 documented concussions going back to college. It would be Beanes biggest all in move. Would be a shame if it ends up like Von Miller. With our big investment on the sideline when it matters. Big roll of the dice with olave but there’s boom potential should get us a Lombardi
  2. I agree with all of this but the bolded I feel a little different this season after watching the defense play 6 games. I don’t know if it fixable. I think it’s likely that we’ll give up 30+ when the seasons on the line and we’ll have to score 35+ every playoff game to have a chance. Hairston will need to start and play well come December for me to change my mind on this. I do think that Hoecht and maybe Larry O) will make some plays and have a positive impact while also getting some improvement from sanders and walker. I don’t know if those factors will be able to make up for the play of the LBers and safeties. Let’s be real, it’ll probably be Shaq and Dorian as our LBers come playoffs as Milano and Bernard are likely to be injured. Rapp is the worst starter on the team and it’ll probably be Poyer or Hancock out there with bishop. Will trading for a S or LB fix our D? If Hairston isn’t ready, do we trade for a corner and hope that he will step in and make a difference? Or is the biggest problem our drop coverage which hands the opposition first downs? if there’s a burner X that can get open, I’d rather roll the dice in that direction to open up our offense. While I do agree that losing Palmer and Kincaid had huge impact on our O last game, I think adding another outside separator would only enhance both guys. Look to score 35+ every playoff game, this defense might not be able to get there unless we make a handful of improvements in scheme and talent
  3. We can fail to get the 1 seed, finish 2nd in the division and win. Super Bowl. I think the pats will lose 3 more game max. it’s week 7. We may continue to have a rough patch until we figure some things out scheme wise and get some guys back/make a trade/s. I won’t be discouraged until I see how we play in December. That version of the team is all that matters.
  4. lol. Not only was he not great, but he was bad. The disconnect is that one group is instantly triggered every time someone puts even an ounce of blame on 17. The OL sucked, we were missing our 2 best route runners, we’ve forgotten about throwing the ball to James Cook and kept him off the field at crucial times. And Josh sucked partially due to all the above. You didn’t understand my post i agree. I think our DL has been our best unit on D by far. I agree- the secondary is trash and the safeties are even worse. our vaunted DB whisperer seems to be losing his abilities.
  5. And Josh played his worst game in over a year because he couldn’t decipher the blitzes well enough and made poor decisions throughout.
  6. Crazy how this seems to be the case 9/10 times we blitz lol. I mean, that polar bear is white, you know what I mean?
  7. The falcons d is bigger and more physical? 🤦🏻‍♂️
  8. Agreed. I want to say good bye to McDermotts defense. It’s as if it can only function with a good pass rush, 2 great coverage LBers, 2 good corners and 2 all pro safeties…..
  9. While I thought the ball could’ve had slightly better placement. I place the majority of the incompletion on Shakir. I think some others (even on this team) could’ve made the play. he did play like crap. It’s on the QB to recognize and deal with the blitz. He failed miserably in that regard….vs a team that led the league in blitzes. Part on Brady too.
  10. 💯 I saw plenty of film that showed he made bad decisions with the ball, held the ball and threw a handful of bad passes.
  11. No, time to admit when he plays like crap. End of story. but nooooooooo…… Josh never plays bad 👌
  12. I saw plenty on tape. I don’t have the all 22 so I can’t post any. You have the all 22 and didn’t see any I assume? you don’t have to compare anything to what penix was seeing. That has nothing to do with Josh playing a poor game.
  13. And McD doesn’t even call it very well while also being the HC from my recollection
  14. I agree- our DL hasn’t been much of a problem and it should continue to improve. Now we just need a DC, DBs and LBs that can cover and stop the run.
  15. Again- avoiding the question by asking another question. What does that have to do with my question? It doesn’t matter if we know or not. I think McD calling plays on D gives us a better chance of winning vs any team. That’s what matters….not whether or not if we know who’s calling plays
  16. We could move the football on the ground just fine. 5 yards a carry on the game. Our problem was passing. The WR unit is Beanes fault for sure. But Monday night, the unit that he decided to invest more heavily on, the offensive line gave up a 44% pass rush win percentage; our best pass catcher and most heavily invested in playmaker was out with an oblique injury; our biggest investment at WR this offseason had 2 catches for 60 yards on 6 snaps before getting injured. Our 2 best route runners out of the game, our offensive line getting beat and our QB not processing fast enough to move the chains. I agree that Beane is to blame for the current state of our WRs, but I don’t think that he was the reason our offense was so bad. It wasn’t just the WRs not getting open. side note- I really hope Palmers injury isn’t too bad. He was about to have himself a day before his injury. Imo, he’s clearly our best outside WR and we should be making getting him the ball a priority. If he fails when given the opportunity, at least we gave it a try and on to the next plan. have you watched him run routes in the all 22? I think he’s real smooth and his transitions into cuts seem effortless for a guy his size. Thoughts on him being our go to WR? Or do you think the top 20 type corners will swallow him up?
  17. That’s not what we’re talking about. Stay on topic. Babich sucks. We all know that by now. Would you prefer Babich call plays bs KC in the playoffs or McD? Because it’s likely going to be one of them unless they give Nielsen the headset
  18. lol- I’m stanning for McD? Care to show the quote/s? I’ve been on record for 2 years saying I’d be ok with firing McD. I’ve been playing the fence with him for quite awhile. I think he’s a good head coach that has improved in that aspect since he’s been here. I’m not a fan of his defensive scheme and I’m not sure if he’ll ever be able to beat Reid and Spags in the playoffs. I’m also not sure that we would hire someone better than him if we fired him……but I’d be willing to roll the dice.
  19. But the defense in the 2nd half was 💯 markedly better, which is the point of this thread. But the point of your post is to single out one drive. if McD did take over calling plays in the 2nd half, I pray he continues to do so. The defense was much better in the 2nd. Too bad the offense sucked the entire game
  20. And what? He sucked vs Atlanta. He played poorly. The team isn’t good enough to compensate when he plays that bad. It just pains you so much when people say that Josh sucked. again- he wasn’t THE REASON we lost. He just sucked
  21. And it was still markedly better. Gave up 330 yard and 21 points in the 1st half. 3 points 110 yards in the 2nd half
  22. Because he was focused on being the best head coach he could be in my opinion The defensive performance in the 2nd was most definitely markedly better than the first.
  23. Not sure what made you think podcasters can’t be experts. Oh wait, yes I do…..
  24. Oh man- I’m right there with ya (minus the sizable wager part 😂). I win 50 if the bills win the division and lose $200 if we don’t
