  1. Yet we’re sitting here, 30+ years later (aka history) talking about our nfl record of winning 4 straight conference championships.
  2. 🙏🏻 he’s exactly what we need and shouldn’t be too expensive
  3. Shaq would be a big loss, but I’d trade his availability for Palmers! Praying that Josh can go
  4. Even more reason I hope it’s Kincaid
  5. I really hope that it’s Kincaid followed by Cook.
  6. Josh did a much better job last season. He didn’t do a good job on the season ending play last season. But I’m sure you’ll put that on someone else and no blame on Josh. it’s a year to year league and Josh isn’t doing as well as he did last year in that department. He needs to improve on how he’s been dealing with the blitz this year. Again, facts. Everyone would agree except those that can’t accept putting any blame on 17. Oh man. See how you do this? i said this “It’s a fact that Josh’s line is in the upper tier of OL’s, no? Or are they terrible and Josh was just Superman and made them look great every game? and that’s how you answer it. 😂 Obviously he makes them look better at times. Most mobile QBs do that for their OL But our OL IS good. kCs OL has not been great. Or maybe Josh actually is twice as good at reading defenses, adjusting protections and avoiding sacks as Mahomes. And that’s the only reason that Mahomes had double the sack rate as Allen have a great night man.
  7. Great post @BullBuchanan. Thanks for sharing. I think we can win a SB with this offense as long as our defense can play complimentary football, aka get timely stops, sakcs and turnovers. I have my doubts that we can do that vs KC in the playoffs, but it’s possible. i do think that adding an outside WR would improve our offense and force teams to back up off the short stuff/the run. While I understand people not having any hope in Palmer, Moore and Samuel…. I have still have hope that they can make plays when needed. Just have to stay healthy and have the OC put them in position to succeed
  8. I’m skeptical it’s possible without James Palmer on the field. Maybe they’ve been withholding their Moore and Samuel plays? They’ve certainly stopped throwing to the RBs (which is my biggest issue with Brady this season). Time to unleash Kincaid
  9. lol. It’s the best when people put words in your mouth to twist the convo. You were discussing Mahomes’ sack rate doubling Josh’s last season. The majority of the world would agree that the main factor in that would be KCs offensive line. It’s a fact that Mahomes’ offensive line was horrid last year….no? Or was it just Mahomes failing to adjust and process fast enough? It’s a fact that Josh’s line is in the upper tier of OL’s, no? Or are they terrible and Josh was just Superman and made them look great every game? those are just facts. Not made up delusions. Sometimes, when Josh gets sacked, (this year especially) it’s because he doesn’t adjust protections, decipher the blitz and hit his hot route quick enough. That happens to every QB. It happens at a much higher rate for QBs that play behind offensive lines with 2 terrible offensive tackles. Just so happened to be the major reason why Mahomes’ sack rate was twice Josh’s last season. Or do you think Josh is twice as good at reading defenses and adjusting protections? If he was last year, he certainly isn’t this year
  10. He’s been delivering a lot of big hits though!! What a beast he’s turned out to be. This is amongst my favorite threads You’ve (happily I’m sure) been proven wrong @zow2
  11. His offensive line was a million times worse. It was a jailbreak from opposing defensive ends the majority of the season. Allen hasn’t been handling the blitz (mentally) as well this year. It’s not JUST the WRs not getting open. It’s also that Josh doesn’t trust any of his WRs…. But some blame goes to Josh. It’s ok to admit it. He needs to be better deciphering the blitz and adjust accordingly
  12. I think it’s a bit of both. We need an added dimension (speed) at WR AND Josh needs to play better.
  13. I’ve been hoping we would sign Campbell the last few years. Seems to want to play for his home areas in his old age. From az, college in Miami. Nice climates. Can’t blame him. But he’d have no say in a trade. Get him if available Beane
  14. Could be right. One thing I’m confidant in, if we trade for Meyers, Keon won’t be getting nearly the same amount of targets as he has so far this season
  15. I agree- I was hoping for both guys. If we drafted Horton, we wouldn’t have Walker. As much as I loved (and still love Horton), I’ll take Walker based on what we’ve seen from him so far
  16. The best player in the world needs to work on his passing from under center
  17. TBD: no one can get open!! We have no separation on the outside. Report: the Bills are interested in Meyers. TBD: this does nothing for us. He has no speed. Me: he would put Keon on the bench (when Palmer comes back) and can get open on short to intermediate routes. He would help our pass game. There’s no doubt. Is he the perfect fit? No, but which available WRs are? Shaheed and a bunch of guys that aren’t getting traded. Beane sucks
  18. When you want something that’s not available, you have to settle. Cohen addressed the BTj rumors and shot them down. meyers can get open, too bad verticality isn’t his game. He played 31% of his snaps from the slot in 2024. He can win on the outside. He's just not a deep threat
  19. “a couple”? Much closer to a couple times per game is more like it this season. of course Josh is going to bail out the line when it gets beat. James Cook also ran for over 115 yards before contact last week. our OL is still one of the best in the league. Kromer and his scheme have a lot to do with it. But you should argue against that notion just argue
  20. He’s also been bailing prematurely when the pocket has been clean
  21. And then we signed Aaron Kromer and our OL is great. i agree that talent more important than scheme in a way where if your players suck the results will be poor. I do believe a good scheme can raise the level of play of every players
  22. i think the game will be won or lost on how Josh deciphers Spags’ blitzes.
  23. You’re exaggerating Pete
  24. He’s worse And getting injured
  25. And he made several clutch catches and blocks throughout the year along with his locker room. presence. We had no WRs last year….yet our passing game was much better than it is now. Josh trusted him and he came through much more often than not. 25 of his 31 catches went for first downs. Many on 3rd down. He doesn’t trust any of our WRs downfield as he trusted Hollins Cooper played 21% of the snaps….he helped but he wasn’t THAT important where he helped the offense even while he was on the bench 79% of the time.
