  1. Extreme exaggeration. We haven’t averaged under 26.5 ppg since Josh’s evolution. We averaged 30.9 last season. You think that McB is counting on us averaging almost a TD less per game (24ppg) after losing your boy Mack and a 50% snap count cooper (while adding Palmer and Moore)? The math doesn’t add up. i think they thought the D was our biggest issue (more specially DL and CB) and they addressed it in the draft and FA…. While keeping our QB, RB, OL, TE intact while swapping out 2 WRs for 2 WRs. Also counting on Keon and Kincaid improving on last season
  2. Fair assessment. 👍🏻 edit: I guess where we differ most is regarding our belief in McD. I think he’s capable. He’s regularly shown that he can devise game plans to stifle Mahomes in the regular season. Then the playoffs come around and we can’t stop them. I would attribute some of this due to injury- not strictly McD. Looking at the corners we’ve run out there in the playoffs compared to the regular season is a stark contract. Benford has missed 95% of the snaps in the last two loses- which left us with Douglas/Elam and Douglas(on a sprained ankle)/Dane. Neither pairing is Lombardi quality and hurt our D dramatically imo. If Benford plays both games- I think we win at least 1. Throw in AJ Klein playing and the investment in Von Miller yielding us nothing for 3 years in the playoffs. maybe that contributes to your lack of confidence in McD - and that’s fair as well. Does he need his D to be injury free in order to beat them? Maybe so. Will the D ever be healthy come playoffs? Doubtful. I get it.
  3. -Can you explain how you came to this conclusion? -Can you give us some examples of a 1B?
  4. Can’t voucher for Billl, but that isn’t the case with @Doc Brown pretty obvious
  5. Correct- In order to win the Super Bowl- we can’t lose in the playoffs. So the losing playoff games are the only games I’m talking about. The other games are 💯 inconsequential whether you agree or don’t agree this that statement. Each game is its own entity. I’m not lacking context- you’re refusing to acknowledge the context of which I’m speaking. The national narrative is that our defense has failed Josh Allen. It’s not that Josh Allen and the offense failed our defense. You disagree and it makes sense why you do. This has been your argument for years (not enough investment in the WR position, which I agree with). Why would you take the L when you can regurgitate stats that have nothing to do with my conversation - season ending losses- rather shifting the argument to how our O has underperformed in games that we’ve won. agree to disagree
  6. When I say “main reason”- I’m referring to our season ending without a Lombardi. Not sure what you are referring too in regards to “main reason”. Each game is its own separate entity. The offense underperforming in the divisional games has ZERO bearing on our season ending. Side note-You refer to being clutch being a separate entity from the entire game…. Which I agree with…..yet are somehow lumping prior wins with eventual losses. If executing in the clutch is different than executing in the 1st qtr or throughout the game, it’s fair to say that executing in the afccg or the SB is different than executing in the 1st and 2nd rounds. You’re playing both sides of the fence in order to make your point. Either you lump everything together in your argument….or you don’t. You’re doing both.
  7. 💯 of the blame isn’t really a thing in over the course of 4 playoff runs. The offense had chances in a two of those losses and came up short- which takes some of the blame off of the D. Not all. Not the majority- but negates the 💯 blame comment imo.
  8. I don’t think the conversation is strictly based on this season. Our offense has been better than our defense but hasn’t really lit it throughout the playoffs every year- although we’ve had some tremendous games. I do think the defense has been worse than our offense and should carry more blame He is all of what you say….. but that doesn’t mean he can’t be called out for a bad play. If he didn’t get wrecked that play- we probably win the game. That doesn’t mean he isn’t a great player
  9. is he arguing against that notion? I don’t think anyone in this conversation is. the still shots of the Kincaid drop tell half the story. He should have made a tough catch- He was also ridiculously wide open and may have scored- but Josh was fooled by Spags (best playoff DC ever in my book) and wasn’t able to make a better throw because of it. So was that Kincaid failing him or was the Allen failing Kincaid? A bit of blame to both sides imo. Unlike dawkins getting steamrolled by Jones. I like Diggs dropping the dime. Unlike the defense and 13. Josh should carry SOME blame on the Kincaid drop-
  10. Cook is a RB playing behind a very good OL- of course he has an impact. He’s a very good RB, our best for sure. the comparison of RB and WR yards/salaries is not a thing. RBs get paid much less- so that’s why the comparison you’re making is irrelevant. agree to disagree
  11. No- it’s not. That’s not what I said as you continue to move the goalposts to fit whatever you’re trying to prove. how many times has the defense played well in in season ending losses since we’ve been contenders? Zero. If the defense hadn’t put up absolute stinkers in those games, clutch plays by the offense may not even have to have been made as games are already over. How many points have we given up in season ending defeats? The answer is more points than we’ve ever averaged- but the O is supposed to outscore that number playing vs an all time DC coaching a very good D…. Got it Regarding your last statement- I never said the offense was good enough. If you had read any of what I had said you’d realize that I said there is blame placed on the offense and the defense…. Not JUST the offense. But move the goalposts and act like I’m trying to sell that it’s all on the offense. Just blatantly making stuff up. I’ve always said there are multiple reasons why we haven’t made a Super Bowl. Playing terrible defense and allowing teams to put up 33ppg in season ending losses is the biggest reason- not the only reason
  12. Yes, in this situation- because safeties are immune to improving because…. Of last seasons competition. Got it. sanders was such a bum that he out snapped Gabe by a wide margin. competition often breeds improvement. That’s my point. My only point here
  13. What makes you say Josh Palmer is a 12M WR? 🤦🏻‍♂️ I also think Palmer will be our 2nd-3rd best WR. Maybe Moore can surprise and be better, making him our 4th best, but I highly doubt it. Palmer is better than many here think imo. comparing total numbers of a RB vs a WR (like you did with cook) isn’t really a thing….until you just did it
  14. This post could be top 5 most enjoyable in @Mr. WEO history Which annual competition are you speaking of? There has been exactly 1 completion at S under this regime. Taylor Rapp played much better than I had anticipated. Damar Hamlin, while not my choice, played slightly better than I had anticipated as well. or are you speaking of every position? As in Elam vs Benford….in which a 6th rd pick is now an All pro. Or 5th rd pick Shakir is now a 15M WR. Or Spencer brown (vs Daryl Williams) David edwards (vs Svpg) your lover boy Gabe Davis (vs sanders, brown), Milano, Bernard and Dorian Williams (vs entire units of vets) competition breeds improvement. I’m fairly confident this is a fact in most aspects of life….. but do you mang. Typical Weo nonsense. Just here to argue
  15. Competition isn’t dependent on the plays being called. In this specific situation, which safety is assured of being a starterr in 2025? Imo, none are. This increases the chances that everyone…:not just scrubs, will be working harder, hence giving them a better chance to improve…. My point. competition breeds improvement in many cases. Except w/e is going on in your head
  16. You don’t think competition in preseason can make a player better?
  17. Correct- while giving up a season high in points to their opponents with time still remaining in the game, we made a couple nice defensive plays….for the first time in 5 years. Poyers save on the goal line the previous year was clutch too- but more of a blunder on Hardman imo. In the same game- jones made the most clutch play of the game vs Dawkins. I agree- making plays in the clutch is extremely important- maybe the most important aspect of winning football games….but it’s not the only aspect that matters. When we allow teams to score an average of 33 or so ppg in season ending losses, I think it’s fair to pinpoint that as a major reason why we haven’t been to a SB. Not the only reason. Similar to making clutch plays….. as was the crux of my post. It’s not just one thing. But do you.
  18. I feel like sabres talk, wherever you are, is like breathing in a giant pile of dump. 😢
  19. The other people who got to flash receipts are those that said we didn’t have enough pass rush and said that our defense would inevitably lead to our downfall if we didn’t win a SB. WR wasn’t the main reason we didn’t win a Super Bowl.
  20. It’s not his forte, but zero power is a massive exaggeration made in order to try and prove your side of the argument.
  21. Great post! You should post them again next week. And every other week after. I didn’t want Keon either. But you’re acting like his career is already over. He had one solid 1/2 season, got injured, then had a bad end of the season/playoffs after injury. Jury is still out
  22. If you were plenty tough, you wouldn’t constantly bring up how people combat your opinion on the matter on a message board made for doing exactly that. Jmo
