The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
NewEra replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
As if we were their only chance to trade up…. As if there was no chance he would’ve been there when they drafted…. Detroits offense didn’t look very good to me last night. I also think we have more of an identity than both of those offenses do. We run the ball and run it well. The question is, when we can’t run it well, can our pass offense step in and take over? I think a lot of it depends on the opposing dc calling a great game (or not) and whether or not our guys can catch and hang onto the ball. KC has Andy Reid. He’s an all timer. I expect him to call great games and scheme guys open. Especially when they have as much speed as they currently do. -

Reid is a magician at scheming guys with speed wide open. Did it several times last night. Wide open -

Thanks…. For ruining my mood!! 😉 -
We just need to start playing better D overall imo. Hopefully our plan is to sellout stopping the run and short pass while forcing Penix to 10 yards plus

5 games in and after a great week one, he’s been less than what I was hoping for. The fumble lost the game for us. Getting benched fo a series due to disciplinary reasons. Disappointing. I know it’s such a low efficiency play, but I’d like to see him targeted on some back shoulder sideline throws and be on the end of a few accurate jump ball passes where he can use his body control and size. He’s capable. He hasn’t really had many good opportunities. Ball location is key. He’s on pace for 71 catches 640 yards and 6.8 TDs. 10.8 yards per catch (way down from 19.2).

They won’t if we win a Super Bowl or two. So many around here already discounting us winning a Super Bowl. If we win a Super Bowl, I think drafting Keon and letting KC have worthy is a win. SBs aren’t guaranteed and 1 in the bag is the win. -
He averaged 15 and 15.3 yards per catch the last 2 seasons. That is in the wheel house of the better deep threats in the league 12th and 17th in the league respectively

And the Jason Licht traded the pick that would’ve landed Josh Allen…. He failed. And then he won a Super Bowl 3 years later. Gms fail all the time. All of them. Ever.

We also built one of the best offensive lines in team history. Which matters more? The trenches always matter more than playmakers. This regimes biggest failure, are the swings and misses along the DL. WRs would be next. We haven’t been able to affect Mahomes in the playoffs. That’s the been the biggest factor in our season ending losses. IMO of course I expect them to be in the hunt all season. While our schedule is easy, theirs is much easier.

Building a team that can’t run at all is the way to build a team? 🤷🏻♂️ if you say so. They’re 4-2. They look good. I think your premise of “they built things right” and “we didn’t” is premature. It’s October. Running the football matters and unless they improve, inability to do so will be their demise this season imo. going forward into next season, they’ll likely improve in that capacity. And it’ll be on Beane to improve our WRs (unless they progress this season and prove that they are enough to win with)

Same. Brady likely would’ve thrown a 5 yard pass hoping to get the rac

You’re entitled to it. I don’t think Josh will be doing that. They have their HC and QB. The Pats have how many elite players? They are set to compete for the division annually and are an ascending team.

I agree. But that doesn’t mean we can’t beat them. We had 3 uncharacteristic turnovers which led to points for them and took points away from us….and they won on a FG with 20+ seconds left. Meanwhile we were missing several players that will be playing in the future matchups that didn’t play last week. More injuries will happen for both teams. The patriots future is bright, there is no doubt….but that’s all. There will likely be a battle for the division for the rest of Allen’s career. The days of us coasting to division titles are over. I don’t believe the days of us winning the division are over. Apparently some do.
