  1. Why wouldn't AJ make the team? He's a proven NFL backup and thus far Peterman or Allen haven't proven to be an NFL starter. Toss in AJ is a good guy in the locker room etc and we aren't paying starting money he seems like he secured himself a job with his 4th quarter performance and I can't see a better veteran QB being available after final cuts.
  2. The Ravens won a Super Bowl with an elite '85 like Bears defense and Dilfer. As he was a glorified game manager and all things fell into place for that game. I like Nate in that he knows how to throw WRs open and seems good with prereads, my problem is not sure he makes many reads after the snap and if a team changes up coverage or jumps routes he's going to get picked off pretty quick as we saw against the Chargers. I guess I gave Peterman a 7 as think he's the most complete QB we have now but Allen can be better with some seasoning.
  3. The only way we sign Ritchie is if make Wood an assistant coach to watch over him.
  4. I sure hope Trent Murphy is on the field by Week 3 by damn every practice he misses makes me wonder.
  5. I wouldn't be shocked if he started or came in late in the 2nd, to replace McCarron, and finished out the game.
  6. AJ looks slow on the draw when I watch him play. Toss in he likes to check it down a bit he's a game manager at best yet a pretty decent backup.
  7. On the field it's been Peterman but his got a lower ceiling than Allen. I'd consider Nate a 7, McCarron a 6 and Allen a 5 if ranking 1-10, with 10 being Brady/Rogers/Brees type.
  8. Ravens could lose rookie Safety for the season, https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/rookie-safety-deshon-elliott-could-miss-the-year-with-fractured-forearm
  9. Maybe Daboll isn't showing his full playbook in the preseason and/or doesn't trust his Oline is good enough to run the screen. Time will tell.
  10. Considering both play Tackle not sure that helps us at Guard.
  11. I think the issue stems that we we tfrom a man blocking to zone blocking scheme. We had the talent to run man but not zone. As we do t have nimble olineman.
  12. Yeah Samantha's mother was horrible yet like Samantha a whole lot more though I'll do you one better, Jeannie's cousin Jeannie (the brunette).
  13. Streater's issue is he doesn't bring much in terms of special teams or something we don't already have in Jones or possibly Holmes. Coleman on the other hand offers speed, which everyone knows, you can't teach. Toss in more potential.
  14. Steve McNair sat, I don't think we have to sit Allen as better see what he has now versus later.
  15. Peterman's looked the best in the two preseason games thus far, yes Allen has more upside but I don't think McDermott wants to rush anything. Toss in if Peterman looks good we could always trade him for a high draft pick.
  16. To compete with Austin Proehl as a practice squad WR? Personally I like Benjamin, Jones, Kerley, Holmes, Coleman & McLoud and then Foster or Proehl on the practice squad.
  17. Anyone can be an online writer, all it takes is a computer with an internet connection. And all too often online writers are just stealing someone else's material and just throwing their own spin/opinion on it and not really adding anything to a story these days.
  18. I think McCarron starts to see what he does with the 1s so they know if they should start him or Peterman in Week 3/the regular season. I think Allen steps in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to see him "compete" with Baker Mayfield and then trot out Peterman in the 4th to work with the depth WRs to see if anyone keeping around.
  19. I think Sean ran a lot of three Safety sets in Carolina so that might be why Bush is in the mix. Either way I'd love to have Gaines back, who knows maybe the Browns do something dumb and cut him and we can bring him back.
  20. "Last **** time I use free *** throat lonzenges".
  21. Wait are we talking about Steve as in Steven or Stephen? or just plain old Steve?
  22. The punishment seemed a bit excessive to me but who knows maybe that's the type of motivation Calloway works well with, he seemed to with that end play but only time will really tell, Either way I think the Browns are doomed because of Hue Jackson. I'll admit I liked Jackson's resume when he was available and thought pairing him with Schwartz would have served us well, yet now that I see his "this is my team and I will run it my approach" I question it. Toss on Tyrod trying to tell him he was do things wrong doesn't seem good. That said the whole organization is a mess but that falls more on the owner than anyone.
