  1. Teams with pure trash personnel tend to lose consistently.
  2. His final season in college in a bad conference. I hope he turns out to be the answer, but I am still betting against it. That anyone is already convinced of his eventual success flies against logic, as of today. The two Buffalo QBs he reminds me of are Losman and Harris. Hopefully, he turns out much better than them.
  3. Peterman had the least amount of time to throw in the NFL, yesterday. I believe the running game had the least amount of time before contact. Peterman is certainly not the answer, but I totally doubt Allen is, either. Allen played against 2nd and 3rd stringers and didn't exactly light it up. Might as well start him from now on, though. Yeah, he might get better, but I thought he was a horrible pick and my opinion can only change by seeing him perform well at an NFL level. I know a lot of you are hopeful about Allen, even if you didn't like the pick, originally, but so far I haven't seen anything from him other than the rifle arm we already knew about. At the next draft, Buffalo will be forced to either take another QB or trade down and grab 3 offensive linemen. The problem is they could also use 4 new defensive linemen, not to mention a couple of linebackers. Buffalo is the new Cleveland. I still believe McD is a good coach, but he will no doubt be sacrificed within a year unless the situation changes drastically. Tweaks!? That was a very mediocre Baltimore offense that trampled Buffalo. The defensive line is absolutely awful. Only Kyle Williams is better than average. Is anyone else even average?
  4. The negative prognosticators look to be accurate.
  5. Bears on roller skates on the offensive line combined with a poor group of receivers and an aging McCoy. The D cannot pressure the QB and will have problems stopping the run. A very long season.
  6. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.
  7. It probably won't work out for Peterman long-term, but if we didn't know who Allen and Peterman were before this pre-season, every single poster would think Peterman has been the better QB during this pre-season. I take it back. Every group will have a couple of morons.
  8. Wondering whether a QB who isn't top 10 of all time is better than Brady is funny stuff. If I had a cousin who said that Andre Reed was better than Rice, I would cringe, not post it here.
  9. You're right. "Analytics" as a science is, to a degree, both valid and valuable. But past that degree, analytics isn't worth a hockey puck". For those old enough to remember, this thought could have come out of the mouth of Norm Crosby.
  10. For a guy who some are pushing as a DROY candidate, color me unimpressed. Yeah, it's one pre-season game, but no Bills fan had a higher opinion of him after that game than they had going into that game. Doesn't mean he won't become great, but it didn't demonstrate he might become great.
  11. People get lung cancer without smoking, so light em up.
  12. What is being forced into what framework?
  13. After reading some of your other input, it makes perfect sense that you just posted this to me. People who have a strong negative reaction to a story like this are people I probably would not get along with, as I originally posted. Big deal. By posting to me, you displayed similar feelings in the other direction. So, in essence, we are in complete agreement, so perhaps it's you that should probably lighten up. Not all fans of a sports franchise should be expected to be alike or potential real-life buddies. That's all I originally posted. That this personally bothered you is just more evidence of that. We all like the Bills. That is what we have in common, but people who root for the same sports franchise needn't have anything else in common, and that is just fine.
  14. Just did more homework. Best he has ever done as a Bill is 14th in receptions, averaging 3 TDs a season, on a team where short passing has been the norm since his arrival. I suppose you could think of that as decent in that it's not horrible, but if he missed an entire season, I seriously doubt there would even be the slightest negative effect on the team. This kind of production from a player the team went out and gave what is now the 9th best contract in the NFL is piss-poor ROI.
  15. The only value of threads like these to me are that they show me which posters I would never get along with in real-life.
  16. If a franchise moves up to snag a QB, when it desperately needs one, he had better be a savior, or at the very least, a QB capable of helping a team to championship contention. It is perhaps too early to call him a disappointment, but let's face facts on highly-anticipated QBs; If they don't end up excelling in their careers, they will be deemed busts, whether anyone thinks that fair or not. I believed he would bust before the Bills took him. Now, I just have to hope I was wrong. The quality of editing might be down, but not the quality of reporting. It seems that way because the number of people deemed to be reporters has exponentially boomed, leading to a downgrade in perceived overall quality.
  17. On Jackson's case in pre-season 1? I have no opinion on how he will turn out, but if Allen under-performs in pre-season 1, and someone comments on it, he will be scorched as an idiot. Since helmet made initial contact, wouldn't that be a penalty even under the previous rule?
  18. Clay has been below decent for quite a while, now.
  19. No idea if he is guilty for sure, but if forced to bet, I would put it on guilty. I think it's funny that anyone thinks the journalist made his story up.
  20. I predict the OP will make lots of predictions and recall very few of them.
  21. Their job is to deliver ratings and ad revenue, just like everyone else in the media. Carlin was right.
