How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?
TheBrownBear replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm trying not to think this way, but my gut is telling me this is the case, and then I'm getting really bummed thinking about where we go from there, stuck behind the Chiefs AND Bengals. We need to come out fast and focused tomorrow. No more sloppiness. We should win if we play a clean game. It's all right there in front of us. Now, what are we made of? Tomorrow feels like a potentially era defining game. -
Greg Cosell Preview of Bills vs Bengals on One Bills Live
TheBrownBear replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, not sure what happened there between Brown and Josh - maybe a miscommunication, maybe just a bad ball from Josh. I've watched the play a bunch and Josh throws it to Brown because the safety jumps the flood concept to Knox. He had better options in the flat, but Josh did have one on one with Brown and he was probably emboldened by the success he had earlier in the game and going back to week 18 with the long ball. An interception at the goal line wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world if we had just tackled the guy instead of letting him jog free for 60 yards. But yeah, I'm comfortable pinning that one on Josh. -
Eric Moulds - this week’s legend of the game
TheBrownBear replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I couldn't disagree more and I loved Reed - he was my favorite player as a kid/teen. They were very different receivers, so it's hard to compare them, but prime Moulds was damn near unstoppable on the outside. His quarterbacks sucked ass, so he did have to go up and ***** 50/50 balls. His comps are AJ Brown and a prime (one year wonder) David Boston. He almost singlehandedly turned Doug Flutie into a Pro Bowler in 1998, and he was still damn dominant from 1999-2002 when he wasn't battling hamstring injuries. Reed was more like Jerry Rice in a running back's frame. Great over the middle and piled up tons of YAC yardage. Edit: LOL...you can't write sn@tch? -

Nowhere close to Moulds' athleticism and strength. Gabe can get better, but he will never come close to being in the class of a Moulds. -

A Josh/Diggs/Moulds pairing would be unstoppable. -
The Ringer: Josh Allen Needs to Chill

Yeah, he's basically Kirk Cousins or Dak Prescott, right? We have a saying in my family: "Drive for show. Drive for show!". -
Now I'm getting mad - Burrow vs. Allen & Buffalo Bills talk
TheBrownBear replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm good with it. People can chirp on both sides leading up the game to hype themselves (or the matchup) however they see fit. The great thing is that the players and coaches themselves get to settle it on Sunday at 3PM. This is a big moment for a lot of dude's legacies and narratives (Who is NFL QB 1b - Josh or Burrow?, McDermott and big games, Frazier vs. elite passing teams, Joe "Cool" Burrow and his ability to overcome the odds with a crap o-line, what's left in Tre's tank?, etc. etc. etc.). I can't wait!!! -
Yeah, sounds like the amount of time that his lungs were out of commission caused some damage - hopefully, just short term, and he'll make a full recovery. Still great news that he's up and about and around his teammates again. All in all, pretty much a best case scenario given where he was on that field a few weeks ago.

The Ringer: Josh Allen Needs to Chill
TheBrownBear replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha. I'm 44 and still do the dumb stuff. Maybe my game will mature by 45. 😜 I'm 5'8", so I have to play to my strengths and hunt the 3 ball. No dunking for me unless it's against my kids on the Fisher Price hoop. A better analogy for me is golf. I hit the ball pretty long, so I'm often forced to decide between taking the chance of driving the green on a short par 4 or taking the "layup" of an iron, wedge and an almost guaranteed par. -

JoPo's message to Bills Mafia

Yep. Proper route is to marry that GND, then buy her a big chest and giant butt and you're all set! -
I ain't gonna talk S about them, but it's a playoff week and the gloves are off on both sides and that's fine by me. We can go back to being "friends" after we win the Super Bowl. Edit: just checked out that thread and i'm disappointed to see what a disingenuous turd that Caesar guy is. Seemed like a solid bro that played it straight when he was around here a few weeks ago, and I thought we treated him very fairly in kind.

Josh is morphing as a QB…has stopped running recklessly
TheBrownBear replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought the Dolphins did a masterful job of keeping Josh in the pocket on Sunday. He was looking to run, but their spy had a beat on him on almost every attempted scramble. -
Tampa Police: arrest warrant issued for former Bucs WR Antonio Brown
TheBrownBear replied to T&C's topic in The Stadium Wall
This dude is beyond just a little mentally ill or CTE'd up. He's a sick and twisted dude and a danger to society. Guy needs to be locked up for something, hopefully some sort of non violent offense, and then he can receive whatever mental health care/rehab he needs from behind bars. -
My point is that it took a fluke-like performance (multiple turnovers, drops and special teams gaffes) to keep Miami in that game. The Bills dominated the line of scrimmage and were clearly the superior team. The Bengals game was essentially the opposite, with Cincy in the Miami role and just having enough juice to take advantage of the Ravens' errors. Cincy was fortunate that the Ravens handed them the game in the 4th quarter.
-
Not really. The Dolphins were very fortunate to be in the game at all. We dominated them to the tune of a +200 yardage advantage. The Bengals, on the other hand, were actually dominated by the Ravens who outgained them by 130 yards (second straight week that the Bengals failed to clear the 300 total yard mark).

50/50. Either they will or they won't.
