Dude sucks and won't be missed. I live in SD so I casually follow the Bolts as well, and everyone here knew he had nothing left. Never understood why we even wasted time and a roster spot on this scrub. We'd have been better off developing some UFA guy than wait around for Merriman. I agree. Spiller's another great example. Could have moved him while there was still some perceived upside. Now we'll be saddled with the dude until we cut him maybin style. We should also think hard about moving fitzpatrick and jackson asap while they still have some value. there are no positives. Our coach is a moron and our qb is a noodle-armed 7th rounder who doesn't know how to use a razor. Our D is a sieve and only getting worse. Also, there is no hope of them getting better since this was the young guys getting torched...so now we officially know what they can bring and it's not much. The nfl and refs hate us and conspire against us, so even if we eventually field a talented team the powers that be will not allow us to make the playoffs. our owner is about to die and the team will move to la. oh, and our best player is a 30 year old running back so he's got maybe 3 or 4 good games left in those legs. agree. This is probably one of the least talented receiving corps in the nfl before the injuries. and people forget that jim kelly made his farir share of mistakes. Every qb makes mistakes from time to time. The question is, do they also make enough positive plays to win you a game and do they have enough talent on the d to occasionally bail them out. so for fitz the question is this: does fitzy giveth more than he taketh away? Jury's still out on that one.

this is the nfl. Almost anyone can hang with anyone from week to week. That's why coaching is so important. You see it with the niners and harbaugh and you see it with the bills and gailey.

geez...its not like it was a bomb. It was a 20 yard pass. Did you expect gailey to go jauron-esque and run the ball to the left hash for three straight plays and settle for a 46 yard field goal with 3:00 mins to play. The play was there and needed to be made, or at the very least fitz should know to put the ball where only his recceiver could get. Fitz f'd it up and it cost us.

good post. And keep in mind how far we've come in the last two years. Three years ago - if we lost the turnover battle -2 to a good team on the road it would have been one ugly ass blowout. Chan has made these guys competitive and instilled some real fight in our Bills.

I don't buy that. Three of our second half drives go for scores today if fitzy doesn't grossly underthrow those balls to stevie. That's all about execution and making a play. It has nothing to do with being physically or strategically dominated. Fitz made those plays against oak and ne and we won.

it's tough to win on the road against good teams in the nfl. That's a fact. That's why you saw 3 pt wins against ne and oak, and 3 pt losses to nyg and cinci.

I don't think that was the case at all. He clearly tried to featherr those balls up there instead of just gunning them. They weren't long throws, or throws he can't make.
