Is Sean McDermott our version of Doug Collins?

This analogy could be spot on…or it could be out in left field. -
6/13 Day 1 and 6/14 Day 2 Mandatory Minicamp
eball replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poor kid whose parents were Jets fans and named their kid “KeeSean”…has anyone ever seen it spelled that way? -
Teams do this literally every year. It’s a “reward” to the players for showing up and buying in.

When I heard it from one source, I ignored it. When I heard it, unsolicited, from a completely different source, I made my own decision that there may be something to it. I'm neither misleading anyone nor "promoting" misinformation. You're free to draw your own conclusions. I have no idea what exactly you are suggesting we are "beyond."

I tell ya, situations like this bring out the worst in people…including posters on this forum. I’m not a rumor monger but my gut instinct is that this is a Josh/Diggs personal issue, with a smidge of playoff frustration added in. It’s not contractual, and it’s not about Dorsey. I have heard from two separate sources on different ends of the country that there was a domestic call at Josh’s place the night before the Cinci game that has to do with Josh knocking up a bartender who may or may not have been Stef’s ex. The domestic call was because Josh’s gf found out about it and confronted him. The Diggs blow up at the end of the game was, in effect, “was it worth it?” It will get worked out, even if it means Josh and Stef won’t be on the cover of SI Kids again. Bros before Hos.

Hey @Gugny, those aren’t pillows… And when you say “go on 3” is it one, two, three, GO or is it one, two and GO on three? Yes of course he is there, just as all sane people knew he would. -

None. Why the !@#$ would I root for an NFC team?

There’s nothing yet on the app, which suggests the dates have not been finalized. I’d expect to see something come out this week…

Well said. I think fans have an unrealistic perspective of situations like this. It is like any aspect of life; if you don't "have" to do something, some will still do it and some won't. It doesn't mean they don't care or aren't working at perfecting their craft.

Why would the Jests pursue him if Breece is back and healthy? They also have Carter.

Liked what I heard from Ed yesterday. Seems to really appreciate the Bills for making this deal and wants to prove to everyone he deserves it.

Good thoughts here. I’ll add that (some) people seem to act as though Josh will start to decline in a year or two. That’s absurd. He’s only 27. If he continues to avoid significant injury we’re looking at another 7-8 (at least) years of franchise QB production. Going “all in” at the risk of having a significantly depleted roster in a year or two is foolish. It does take a tremendous amount of good fortune to win a Super Bowl, even with a great team. The roster this year is the deepest across the board it has been in Beane’s tenure as GM. Some still complain about the WR room but I’m comfortable with the pieces they added this spring on offense. The OL should be a good bit better, the RB room is better, the TE room is better, and the overall WR corps is deeper than last year. What we don’t have is a proven threat opposite Diggs. Davis has shown flashes but also maddening inconsistency. DHop is the shiny toy everyone wants to add, but we can’t make him come here for the money we can afford to pay. I think going “all in” is a bit in the eye of the beholder, also. Beane knows he needs to continue to push to make the roster better and you can’t take a year off. I don’t view what he has done this spring as an “all in” move. Not in the slightest. It’s competent management that addressed specific holes in the roster. I also don’t believe he has “mortgaged the future” in order to win a championship this year.
