  1. As is the statement “this is a giant nothing.”
  2. And from this day forward July 20 shall be known as “F*** Dan Snyder Day!” (Yes, I understand he just made a lot of money, but this was his baby and you know it HURTS!)
  3. Are you an idiot? Serious question. I have no idea what your background is but I have to deal with the repercussions of serious car wrecks every day, and what this guy could have done at that speed is nothing short of catastrophic. “Normal” people don’t do this. Ever. It is a huge sign of immaturity and “I’m better than everyone else” disease.
  4. Anyone who “predicts” this team would miss the playoffs is a complete moron. The only way the Bills miss the playoffs is if they sustain catastrophic injuries at multiple positions (Allen, Diggs, etc). The Bills are a top 5 team in the NFL. Period. It’s not something that is even reasonably debatable. A lot of Bills fans are still scarred from the drought. We don’t know how to deal with being considered one of the elites because it hasn’t happened since the early 90s. But we are. The likelihood of reaching/winning the AFCC is far greater than the likelihood of missing the playoffs.
  5. You’ve got a crappy memory, my boy. Not only did I not say the Bills’ WR corps was beyond reproach, I specifically advocated drafting one early and was on record as being supportive if they chose to go after OBJ. I just wouldn’t agree with your hot take that they were a steaming pile of trash after Diggs. As it turned out, Davis never really got it going (and was dinged), Crowder got hurt, and McKenzie did not live up to expectations. They still won 14 games. And…”butt buddy?” Really? Grow up.
  6. So many feels...
  7. I see I’m living rent-free in @ScottLaw’s head as well. Too funny. The bottom line here at TSW is that any reasonable optimism is often met with disdain by “those who know better.” Some folks know how to debate and disagree without being a-holes. Unfortunately, some also do not. I’ll continue to be the voice of reasonable optimism around here, for better or for worse.
  8. I hear you, but IF the Bills were in that game and IF he had to play...anything could happen.
  9. Nobody is suggesting they would. The thread is about signing him if he is cut.
  10. I think Kyle Allen is probably the best backup QB we've had in a while. Obviously we don't want Josh to miss time but if the OL proves to be a good bit better this season I think Kyle could keep the ship afloat with this team if he had to.
  11. So, to give you the backstory...I was a sophomore in college down here at UNC. I was so excited because this game was during fall break and my dad and I had planned to go when I was home. It was going to be my first chance to see Jim Kelly live...and then the friggin' strike happened. We still went, and of course we enjoyed ourselves, but the football (and weather) was awful! I guess the good part was we moved down into awesome seats. The most commonly heard phrase all day was "holding on Will Grant." Before the final OT FG attempt what was left of the crowd was chanting "Schlopy! Schlopy!" I won't lie, I had fun.
  12. I didn't attend that game, but trust me, the level of football in the Bills-Browns game was light years beyond the game I referenced.
  13. From the Buffalo News I'm sure guys like @Nextmanup won't be able to stomach a story like this, since McD is "not his kind of guy."
  14. I just found this article written in 2017 about the game. Great read.
  15. Todd Schlopy made 2 out of 5 FG attempts to win a scab game against the NYG (with Lawrence Taylor crossing the picket line) 6-3 in 1987. It was the worst football game I’ve ever witnessed in person.
  16. What are you even talking about? The dude has a personal bias against McD and openly admitted it. We're not talking about reasonable criticism of coaching decisions.
  17. Believe me, we always know where you’re at. “The Bills are [this close] to disaster.” You’re a one-trick pony. Meanwhile, the Bills are still a top-5 Super Bowl contender. Enjoy the season, Scott!
  18. Curious as to how you arrive at that conclusion?
  19. Thank you. I now know to pretty much ignore anything you say about McD due to your clear and admitted bias.
  20. There is one thing that is patently clear — DHop was all about where he could get the most money, not where he could win a Super Bowl. To argue otherwise is foolhardy. Your “aging” point also negates the enticement of a 3-year deal.
