Bills Training Camp: Day 4 - 7/28
eball replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems to me as though McD is really developing and honing his craft as well. Reports of crisp, efficient practices with no wasted effort. Situational work as a focus early in training camp (as opposed to running basic drills and getting everyone "up to speed"). Individual coaching among the position groups. This is all the result of McD's leadership and how he has learned over his first two seasons on the job. The Buffalo Bills are running like a well-oiled, established, professional organization! Let's all keep our fingers crossed the injury bug doesn't bite worse and get ready for a fun season! -
2019 NFL Season: Your BOLD predictions

Fair enough, we'll see. I also think the Bruce Arians experiment will fail in Tampa, and the Panthers will be a playoff contender. -

I think the Falcons are going to be very good this year; they will give the Saints a run for their money. -

2019 NFL Season: Your BOLD predictions
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My boldest team-related prediction that goes against the "mass media" outlook relates to the Ravens. I just don't get it. I think their defense will still be decent but they lost a lot on that side of the ball. Deciding to install a run-based offense behind a run-first QB in this day and age makes no sense to me. I think the Ravens will beat the bad teams on their roster and have a tough time defeating anyone with an above-average defense. It would not surprise me at all to see this becoming a 5-6 win team in 2019. -
Bills Training Camp: Day 4 - 7/28

For the love of god, why? If there is any time to get excited and "pumped up" it's now! We've got an up-and-coming HC, a young stud at QB, a roster finally brimming with talent, and a front office that is actually following through on a plan! I read posts "worrying" about this and that -- a post earlier in this thread is by someone apparently "terrified" about how a player may let him down. Get a grip! If you can't have fun with this team after all we've been through as Bills fans please consult your mental health professional immediately! BBFS has a cure! -
If true, very hard to believe the NFL would uphold the suspension.

Bills Training Camp: Day 3 - 7/27

Oh, the annals of TSW are replete with "Daboll sucks, he ran crappy offenses before as an NFL OC so why would he be any better now, and he even made the Alabama offense worse" and more of that sort of stuff. We have a fanbase of knee-jerk, instant-gratification babies who don't believe in player or coach development. If you did something one way at one point in your career, that's what you are. Period. Daboll hasn't proven anything yet with respect to the Bills, but the signs seem to be pointing in the right direction. -
I disagree. In my opinion the good outweighs the bad by a wide margin, and none of the "bad" has involved significant draft capital or cap space. And if you want to gripe about the free agents Beane signed going into 2018 I'll say, again, that those were simply roster fillers in a known year of transition.

Travis Henry, Antonio Cromartie, and Shawn Kemp just called Tate and said, "bro, you shoulda called me."

Astro Notes Bills Practice 3 (7/27)

Funny, I'm the opposite. It is so refreshing to hear lots of positive commentary about a Buffalo Bills 1st string offense I just can't get enough. -
Hardknocks Gunna be great this year..awesome clip

He's such a complete Richard Noggin. What a doosh. Screw that "taking away someone's dreams" b.s. I guarantee you a good number of guys listening to that are thinking to themselves "this guy is crazy." That said, I'll totally watch this season. It'll be a train wreck. -
Hope for his sake it's not the dreaded "high" ankle sprain.

I'm pretty disappointed in many of you for feeding the "ittakestime" troll. The dude is clearly out to get your goat and he's doing a great job of it. Wise up. -

Thad Brown is a dolt. I stopped following him on Twitter. It has nothing to do with whether he's negative regarding Josh Allen...he simply doesn't know what he's talking about. Some of his takes have been downright awful. -

Nah, I'd like to see six or seven mop-up appearances late in 4th quarters this year...
-
Don't worry, you'll see a TON of him during preseason.
-
I'm just going to take the time right here to remind everyone that Patrick Mahomes threw a ton of picks during his 2nd TC with the Chiefs last summer. It's not necessarily a bad thing if Josh has some bad reps -- this is supposed to be a very good Buffalo defense.
-
Shady is on notice of needing to show he's still "got it" during TC. They won't work him much in the preseason games but they'll be watching him very closely during practice. The wild card here is Singletary. If he just blows people away, it certainly gives the Bills options. That said, the Bills don't "need" to move Shady and I don't think they would unless it is a very good return. Shady is a guy who has clearly bought in to the culture and I still believe the Bills like the idea of Shady and Gore being in the backfield to help Josh this season.

Who Will Be Better in 2019 - The Bills or The Jets
eball replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This offense has the makings of a "WR by committee" approach...which is fine with me if all four guys are productive. Something tells me Zay is going to surprise people this year and by mid-season nobody will be making jokes about Buffalo's passing attack. -

And if the first day of TC is an indication of things to come (which it may or may not) Brown looks like he's going to be "the man" at the position Foster played last year. Foster may find himself being the 4th WR in this offense. -
Dude, this is great. The key line is "I can come up with a scenario for success every year." This is what the negative nellies don't understand. In my world, sports fandom means looking for plausible reasons why your team will make you happy -- not predicting ways they will disappoint. Well done.
