  1. Well, there's always "he starts hot, and continues playing." But I'm just spitballing here.
  2. I'll tell you why this is the most excited I've been for a Bills preseason opener in a while...because for the first time in I-can't-remember-how-long there is a justifiable hope we have a franchise QB starting the game.
  3. Shady receives a good bit of attention around here, and there are a variety of opinions as to whether last year was the year he "lost it" or if he will bounce back in 2019. Shady had 752 combined yards from scrimmage in 2018 (514 rushing, 238 receiving). Will he go above or below that number this season?
  4. I was specifically referencing yesterday's practice with respect to the media's posting of "passing stats" at training camp. Every other day Allen's stats have been posted, but on a day during which he was extremely sharp no stats were posted. To me, that's curious. I don't agree with your read on McD's preferred offense but that's irrelevant to my post.
  5. Pretty much every reporter at camp has noted RayRay's improved attitude, physique, and performance, and McD specifically named him during a recent PC.
  6. Somebody please tell me if I missed something, but isn’t it a wee bit curious that on what appears to have been a stellar day for Allen not one media member tweeted or reported his “stats” from practice?
  7. My read on all of this is that McKittrick is a lock.
  8. LOL -- and the TD to Benjamin to boot. Little did we realize at the time that KB was only motivated to play the Panthers and would disappear shortly thereafter!
  9. Would've liked to see the Brittny pic. Ranks, Rastro!
  10. Sounds like Allen was on fire today.
  11. I think there is a higher probability of the Jets turning into "blah" than the Bills, primarily because of the coaching stability and culture already established in Buffalo vs. whatever Gase brings to the table in NJ. It's a huge game, regardless, because it's a division game. I do think it's bigger for the Jets because they are at home, and their schedule is a bear early on. If the Bills lose a tight game I don't think it cripples their confidence, but a Buffalo win starts to put a different perspective in people's minds about this team.
  12. And even though he can't necessarily control himself, he knows what the bad plays are and will presumably learn from that as he goes along. But no Bills fan should ever want Josh to lose the killer instinct and big play mentality. "No biscuit if you don't risk it."
  13. It's all about the first 8 games. After two roadies to start the season the Bills play 5 of the next 6 at home. The two strongest opponents (NE*** and Philly) are at The Cap. If the Bills aren't at least 5-3 at the midpoint it's going to be tough sledding to get back to the postseason. I think they'll be 6-2 provided Morse can play and there aren't any other devastating injuries to key players.
  14. Pretty fair analysis, @GunnerBill -- I think where the Jets really screwed the pooch is in hiring Gase (and Williams). W1 is going to be such a huge game for both teams.
  15. Please don't interpret this as a prediction Singletary will be anything close to Thurman Thomas, but FWIW Thurman never caught more than 25 passes in a season at OSU, and his average over four seasons was about 21. Point being...one can't necessarily predict a RB's ability in the passing game by simply looking at college production.
  16. Scott: this is a savvy move by the Jets' Douglas to bring in a veteran on the OL for depth Bills Fan: but Scott, Beane signed 6 veteran free agents on the OL for the Bills to do just that, as well as compete for starting jobs Scott: prove it on the field
  17. And for the umpteenth time, I'm glad you're not making the personnel decisions at OBD. You're right, though -- your favorite team doesn't care about ST either, as they let Andre Roberts get away.
  18. I keep telling you guys...Thad is a horrible follow. Clueless.
  19. When Long's hand wasn't injured was he a decent C?
  20. What does this mean for McKittrick?
  21. 212-1 is officially listed as NFL Network Alternate so maybe it's real. Showing on my listings (in NC) as well.
  22. Sound strategy -- jettison a ST ace and decent FB for a guy who might see the field once every three games.
  23. I just can't imagine Bodine making this final roster if both Long and Feliciano (and perhaps Boettger) can backup at C.
  24. Scott is absolutely a Jets fan. He defends them at every turn -- on a Jets board he'd be called a homer, which is hilariously ironic.
