The players simply want and need to feel safe. The opt out should be available but not once the season begins. I was hearing the NFL wanted August 1 but I’d give the players until a week before the regular season starts.

This is a farcical statement. Of course the NFL has been planning; do you have no concept of the sheer enormity of what they have to deal with? The players’ concerns are legitimate and this will be worked out.

This is neither rocket surgery nor brain science. He wants to make plays. He is learning that when a defensive player is not right on him he needs to secure the ball first and then look to run people over. As the game slows down for him there’s no reason to expect he won’t get this under control.

Nah, you’re overthinking it. The kid was trying to make plays as an overly eager rookie. Now he’s had an offseason to reflect and focus on what is most important (i.e., securing the ball). I’m glad he’s confident and not “worried” about his ability to catch, because as I said earlier, he made some very difficult catches look easy.

How about hoping that we have our own Rodgers developing in Josh Allen? Seems like a better use of your time.

This thread has got me betwitched and between.

The key to me is awareness. It sounds like he is committed to making sure every ball is secured before he looks to make any more plays like the one against Cincinnati. I don’t think he has a hands problem. I mean, look at a couple of the long balls he caught (against NE*** and Baltimore) when he was concentrating. They were stupendous.

From article on the front page this a.m.: Knox tailored his workouts so that he could zero in on an aspect of his game to improve each week. One was the reliability of his hands, which Knox said he addressed by catching 250 balls a day fired at him from the Jugs machine at his parents’ home, which is a 15-minute drive away. “I've never had any type of problems with my hands,” Knox said. “It came down to last year, it would be the easy catches that I kind of would start looking upfield, thinking too much about what I'm going to try to do when I actually get the ball in my hands instead of actually getting it into my hands first. There were some photos I saw (where) the ball was getting to me and I was already looking at who I'm going to try to make miss. So that's been the biggest thing for me, just focusing on eyes all the way to the tuck. But I mean, I don't have any type of issues with what that's going to look like going forward, because I think it's just kind of going back to the basics, retraining my eyes to the tuck and not trying to go run someone over until I actually have the ball. This is good stuff — I look for Dawson to have an outstanding year.

New Era name to be dropped from Stadium

The Bills are an up-and-coming team as well...almost makes too much sense for it not to happen. -
New Era name to be dropped from Stadium

The Cap just never quite caught on...so sad. Oh well, can’t say I give a crap about what the stadium is called; I find myself calling it Rich all the time anyway. -
Lou Saban, what a great job he's done.

What a maroon. Can’t say I’m surprised; the creamsicle doesn’t get much right. -
That is a precarious limb already rotten and about to fall to the ground. You may be the only person I’ve seen talk about the Bills’ DL being weaker this season because of the changes made. I mean, I have a bit of respect for a contrarian argument, but this one is waaaaaay out there. Shaq Lawson and Jordan Phillips were not the keys to the Bills’ defense...not by a longshot.

I know Wikipedia isn’t the be-all-end-all but a quick search of Buffalo Bill Cody revealed the following: As a frontier scout, Cody respected Native Americans and supported their civil rights. He employed many Native Americans, as he thought his show offered them good pay with a chance to improve their lives. He described them as "the former foe, present friend, the American" and once said that "every Indian outbreak that I have ever known has resulted from broken promises and broken treaties by the government."[24] Cody supported the rights of women.[24] He said, "What we want to do is give women even more liberty than they have. Let them do any kind of work they see fit, and if they do it as well as men, give them the same pay."[73] In his shows, the Indians were usually depicted attacking stagecoaches and wagon trains and were driven off by cowboys and soldiers. Many family members traveled with the men, and Cody encouraged the wives and children of his Native American performers to set up camp—as they would in their homelands—as part of the show. He wanted the paying public to see the human side of the "fierce warriors" and see that they had families like any others and had their own distinct cultures.[24] Cody was known as a conservationist who spoke out against hide-hunting and advocated the establishment of a hunting season.[24] If all of this is true, I don’t see there being some movement for the Bills to change their name.

Bruce Smith is on Family Feud right now (Sunday 8PM)

Watching that five-minute clip reminded me of two things: 1 — Michael Irvin is a comical human being (in a good way)...his facial expressions, his dialect...he just makes me laugh and is probably fun to be around. 2 — I really, really dislike Cris Carter. -
LOL all you want. I don’t think you are really looking at everything that goes into a decision like this. It’s the NFL, not some rinky-dink startup league, and you’re dealing with a historic franchise. I still think Snyder will eff it up anyway.

If Snyder rushes this he’s going to eff it up. They should play this season (if there is one) as simply “Washington” and get it right (name, logo, colors).

Kyle Williams. American Century Golf Tournament

It’s funny to see “Reggie Bush” and “Bills connections” in the same sentence. Go Kyle! Planning to watch the final round this afternoon.
