In the “caring about outcomes” category I’m rooting for the Ravens and Titans to win their respective divisions. Both of those teams can at least pose some sort of threat to KC. Cinci is showing signs of life but their remaining schedule is brutal. The rest of the AFC is mediocre at best — and that includes our AFCE rivals. The Bills just need to continue to take care of business. The next KC-BUF game needs to be in OP.

Bummer for the kid, he looks really good. That said, the Jets’ offense is trash. Their record is what it is and good for them, but can anyone see them standing toe-to-toe with the Bills or Chiefs? I even think the Pats*** will beat them rather easily.

Is it time for my annual diatribe on this topic? Good teams beat bad teams at the same historical rate, regardless of whether the game is before or after a “big” game. And besides, who would think a nationally televised game on Thanksgiving isn’t a “big” game to the Bills? After watching some more (bad) football yesterday one thing is clear to me — it’s a two-horse race in the AFC and the Bills just need to keep their lead on the Chiefs.

It’s crazy to think how bad Green Bay might be. As Denny Green once said, “they are who we thought they were.” There is no sugar-coating how disgusting that team has looked in their meltdown against the Giants, and then losses to the Jets and WFT. Their defense is “ok” but it’s no match for Josh & Co. Their offense is putrid. It’s all well and good for Rodgers to say something to try and get the troops motivated for next Sunday night, but I have more of a feeling that his team will truly be “exposed” even further as a shell of its former self. League-wide, just look at what is going on with three teams who went “all in” on aging QBs. Tampa, Green Bay, and Denver all look pretty damn terrible. Bills by a billion.

Yes, the Eagles are good. I think in a matchup of two healthy teams I still give the edge to SF.

I’m basing it on their defensive talent (when healthy) and the fact they have some playmakers on offense (Kittle, Deebo, now CMC) and run Shanahan’s scheme very well. If Jimmy G isn’t asked to be a hero he’s a very competent game manager who can make some plays. You don’t have to agree with me. It’s ok. We’ll find out by the end of the season.

The 49ers are probably the best team in the NFC when their defense gets healthy.

Thank god. CMC was never going to be worth the cost to bring to Buffalo. He just doesn’t move the needle in this offense significantly more than Singletary.

The Bills aren’t paying a 1st or 2nd or 3rd round pick for CMC. Carolina knows it, Beane knows it, and fans should accept it.
