  1. Not to reopen old wounds, but this has been discussed ad nauseum. A -- Josh was a late bloomer B -- Josh didn't grow up being groomed to play QB, and therefore didn't have the same coaching and reps other high profile recruits had going into college (he wasn't even recruited) C -- Josh got hurt in his first game at college (shoulder) Anyone who looked closely at the player, beyond the stats, saw what type of kid he was, what athletic ability was there, and what mental ability and drive were there. It was always going to take some time to let "playing the game" catch up. I'd glad Beane and staff did their homework and didn't rely on the analytics gurus who only look at box scores.
  2. All I see when I look at that list is seven teams who aren’t nearly as good as the Bills. I couldn’t care less who we play.
  3. I am honestly concerned for Tua. Two concussions in a four day span…history of injuries…I get being an alpha male athlete and all, but I will be holding my breath every time he takes a hit.
  4. I’m amazed this vote is close. I don’t think CMC moves the dial significantly. OBJ becomes an instant #3 option in the passing game that teams fear.
  5. I do.
  6. Yeah, you're overreacting to my post a bit -- since I specifically mentioned the importance of Davis and signing a guy like OBJ.
  7. What in the what???
  8. I never know if you're being sarcastic or not, but "futility" is a bit strong. The only game with <413 total yards of total offense was in rainy Baltimore. I absolutely admit that having Gabe healthy is a huge benefit to this offense. I also admit that I'd like to sign OBJ.
  9. Ugh. Why did you make me do that. Awful, awful, people.
  10. Don't they announce the league MVP after the Super Bowl?
  11. Anybody miss this guy? After watching McDavid last night, you realize just how badly the Sabres got screwed in that draft.
  12. Is it just me, or do others notice that Bob Kraft's head looks enormous?
  13. Don’t buy the hype. Anyone who watched saw the game-changing and game-saving plays Milano was making. As I said…the positive grades are pretty easy to figure out. The negative grades are subjectively made by part-time “analysts” who have no idea what play was called or what a player’s responsibility was.
  14. We are finally getting the benefit of being a high profile team.
  15. And this, my friend, is why I continue to refuse to take PFF seriously, particularly for low grades. The high grades are usually obvious to anyone who watched the game.
  16. Good thing the Bills have a bye this week...otherwise it could get embarrassing for the rest of the AFC.
  17. It really cracks me up when fans “worry” about game-planning for the Bills’ upcoming opponents. Imagine what the coaching staffs of these other teams are thinking about during the week leading up to facing Buffalo? Only injuries and complacency/lack of focus can derail this juggernaut. We’ve already withstood a ton of the former, and I just don’t think this team’s leaders will allow complacency to enter their mindset. Sit back and enjoy the ride!
  18. I’ve gotta say, this stat is not worrying me at all. Josh only has four picks in six games — one that McKenzie dropped (Rams), one that was tipped (Ravens), and two very good plays by defenders (Rams, Steelers). If there is anything I’d like them to focus on it is red zone TD conversion, which has been mediocre. And let’s face it, they’re scoring at a great clip which mitigates many of the miscues. I love McD’s aggressiveness on 4th downs. We’re really just nitpicking, which is what I presume the coaches and players are also doing. The bye week is a great time to review all of that, evaluate tendencies, and make adjustments for the rest of the season.
  19. We are awesome in kick and punt return coverage, and mediocre in kick and punt return average. Edit: oh, and Football Outsiders is where those rankings are…
  20. That was a fun watch. Thanks!
  21. It’s like you are inside @ScottLaw’s mind…
  22. Nah...Ravens have the more favorable schedule. Both teams have significant flaws but Harbaugh is the better coach. Ravens win the division, Bengals might get in as a WC.
  23. "We the best WR group in the league! Except me..."
  24. It's a shame time doesn't also judge Mahomes as a QB who has lost not one but two AFC Championship games on his home field.
