  1. What about PB in 2015? Also Seantrel was drafted in 2015 Fwiw.
  2. And from that metric we are truly bad. The only time the defense took care of business really were Baltimore, NE (injured 3rd string QB), LA (worst offense in the league), SF (2nd worst offense int he league- and one of the worst defenses to boot), and zona (with a ST assist on the blocked field goal for a TD that broke the game open).
  3. The team's were not talented. If anything he cost us a shot at Cam by trying to keep his job. We were rewarded with Dareus... Even though i still liked AJ green there. I wanted Dez in 2010 too... Instead we never got receivers and ran a spread offense... makes no sense!! Stevie got the volume because he was legit the only target
  4. Saw some highlights. He seems to play to the ball. We just used him like 90% as a rush backer. Looks like he can play some SAM for us though. Rush the QB a bit, drop into zones in cover 2 and follow the flat in cover 3. Probably where Preston Brown plays unless they feel like he's fast enough to play will (which he isnt..) As i said in another thread (this one is legit about Defense and you still make it somehow about Tyrod...) What are you using as a "total defense" ranking? By DVOA (http://www.footballo...om/info/methods) we were ranked 26th - and only ahead of 1 playoff team in Atlanta (who was ranked 1st on offense). Buffalo was ranked 10th on offense (ahead of several playoff teams - KC, MIA, DET, SEA, NYG, and HOU).

  6. Linebacker's are relied upon in coverage, and no one is sure how he'd play on the defensive line. I think he'd be a good depth signing as he seems willing and able to just play wherever you put him. Could be a backup end/SAM though
  7. So... actual money is 40 over two years under 2 very reasonable cap hits. then a cap hit of what, 10 (5+5) if we were to cut him in 2019? The caps going up... and it ain't ur money. If the coaches wanna keep him, I'm inclined to pay him. Even on a bad contract. Tannys contract puts him at a 20 mil hit this year... and he is not good.
  8. You can't have the KOS. That's the big wasted spot. NE has Ebner and Slater - but they have the luxury of multiple guys who can return punts while we have needed a specialist. So they care K/P/LS, Ebner, Slater, and use edelman for PR.
  9. Miami is overrated and the Jets aren't very good. And we lost 4 games to them last year. That alone pisses me off. 6-10 means we probably lose 2-3 games to those teams again. Which pisses me off....
  10. I don't take it - i want to win more than 6 games. That's the only thing i even looked at.
  11. Dallas was 2nd in the league in rushing... and had about 3700 yards passing. I think we could get the 30-40 yards per game additional just by attempting a few more passes each game. Some easy screens and bubbles instead of running plays into loaded fronts.
  12. We're for sure losing to the bucs? What am i missing? The raiders were also absurdly healthy through the first 15 weeks of the season.
  13. But if you're a playoff team - and your starter has missed time before... It's worth it to hang onto him. Or if he's happy, negotiate and extend. He looked very average against JAX in his only start this year. 180 yards passing and 3 red zone field goals... They needed 4 turnovers to win the game. By comparison, buffalo scored TDs on all their RZ attempts - including a pretty nifty TD toss to Hunter. Tyrod attempted 18 passes for 166 yards. Foles attempted 33 for 180... IF we move on from Tyrod, I'm interested in Foles. But I don't think he's an upgrade.
  14. The rookies gonna play... that's just how it is with them. If you have someone u believe may be more than a bridge qb in Tyrod than u keep him. What's available as a bridge qb is a bunch of garbage. Bradfords cap hit was 11 to trade him, and he also didn't play a snap. You can overpay your backup qb if you have a rookie starter because of the wage scale as well. I just think getting worse isn't smart
  15. Eagles signed Bradford, and Daniels, then traded up for wentz. Could we not do the same thing? Except trade Tyrod next year if said rookie proves to be an upgrade? Why cut him and put all ur chips in on one rookie?
  16. I'm of the opinion that you take as many shots as you can. Keep Tyrod, Draft someone in the first if you love them.... if you don't love anyone in the first go for someone you like in the 2nd or something. Doesn't hurt to have multiple options.
  17. Eli isn't that good... they have no running game, and he might help them get more out of it... Mcadoo is a solid coach who might get some more out of him. Just spitballing here.
  18. Cousins won't be - Brees wont be. Rivers wont be. I see no feasible way that Garoppolo gets traded within the division, nor would i pay that price for a 4th year guy with 2 starts. That leaves Romo - who likely gets to pick his destination, and it probably isn't buffalo. My philosophy - keep Tyrod and draft someone. Most of the guys coming out play in spread offenses and will need some seasoning. If we suck, you can bench him for the rookie and trade him next offseason for a mid/late rounder to someone who either needs competition, or wants a solid backup. I didn't see Philly just give the keys to the car to Wentz. They re-signed their guy, and brought in Daniels. Then they saw the opportunity to go up to #2 - and took that as well. It's the most important position in football, you should be willing to devote the most resources towards it.
  19. They should keep Tyrod and draft someone. If Tyrod sucks, the rookie cap hit is so low that it doesn't matter, and Tyrod becomes a trade chip in 2018 since most of his bonus is paid out. Eagles went this route and got who they think is their guy. And a pick back for Bradford
  20. I'd put a bit of the blame in the seattle game on Mills. He essentially whiffed on Avril on 3rd and goal from the 8. That play was blown up before it started. 4th and goal from the 15 is probably the hardest play in football - especially when they dont call unnecessary roughness on sherman for decking our receiver in the end zone. Also they interfered with woods on the play. As for Miami, you're ignoring the ridiculous playcall that led to the missed FG - and then you have Rex punting on 4th and 2 with 4 minutes left in OT... And Carp missed 2 FGs in that game.
  21. What about our OC? Mechanics are tricky at this level - there are so few practices and stuff that you really can't focus too much on footwork and all that. All season long you're installing a gameplan, and in training camp you do have to actually practice plays. Typically when guys work on mechanics its independent of the team as they can get 1x1 coaching time, usually with a coach who's dedicated to fixing poor mechanics.
  22. I just want the stupid playoff drought to end. Houston has made the playoffs quite a few times with almost all mediocre-to-bad QBs. Matt Schaub made it twice. Hoyer made it once. Even Osweiler got them there. I know the divisions different without Manning, but who cares. Get me to the playoffs so i can stop hearing about our drought all the time.
  23. Apparently not much - they didnt even cover him on a TD catch. I don't care too much about this honestly - i've watched enough other QBs miss open receivers that they're actually throwing to. Big ben was skipping passes to his receivers all game, and his deep balls were fluttering all over the field. We never ran plays to get the ball to playmakers (not sure if this is because we didn't really have any). We didn't run trips or bunch formations. We took like the fewest snaps from under center, so our PA game was never that great. No Screens. No bubbles. No swings. Just such a vanilla offense. And we had a few games where we struggled in pass protection to boot.
