  1. Somehow we managed to not get comp picks after brown and gilmore walk. I think it probably comes down to cutting so many lousy draft picks
  2. You just need to finish near the bottom. SF has Hoyer, and Cleveland has Osweiler, even the Rams or Jags wouldnt surprise me too much. Well.. there is an entire college FB season to evaluate... but there are several top guys who are supposed to be good.
  3. Sure - and he can see his kids every day... he just has to fly back to san diego... Because there's always a flight available after practice... Or he can play for LA and just drive home.
  4. How can they keep him and not push Brady out? Brady is still the best QB in the league and said he wants to play 5 more years. So you either push him out, or let Jimmy walk. Your only way to prevent it is to pay him what - 25 million dollars to be a backup?
  5. I didn't say to sign them... i said they're in play along with the 2018 QB class.
  6. I mean... yeah. If he doesn't get an extension by mid-July, he's 100% in play. Maybe not for us but its one more QB needy team that gets someone.
  7. Tyrod has to make the playoffs and drastically improve his numbers for him to earn an extension. He's gotta know that too.
  8. Well they were saying the 2018 class is amazing and deep. I'm throwing out the fact that Jimmy G should be a UFA - or they will tag and trade like they did with cassel (unlikely because they seem to target free agency more than they did in 2009 and it hamstrings your cap room).
  9. And waited way too long to fire the GM. And didn't fire the coach when they should have...
  10. Garoppolo is in play as well. For less picks than it would take to move up to select a rookie.
  11. We were 7-9 with a clown for a HC. We lost some players, added some players. We didn't get drastically worse anywhere so i don't see why we cant be at least where we were a year ago or better. I'm assuming McDermott feels the same way.
  12. Does he want to come here?? He has 8 kids... and has lived in SOCAL since what 2004? He also has a full no trade clause.. LA is what 2 hours from SD? How far is Buffalo?
  13. I mean - injury to miss 2016 is one thing... but he still cant suit up for OTAs? in 2017? Anyone got any more information?
  14. He isn't wrong about Tyrod. The inherent problems with him as a QB are and will be there again. But I think he is wrong about a 4 win total... JMO
  15. McCoys 16 for 58... and 6 QB hits in 22 snaps. I don't feel like counting - but probably numerous negative plays. 8 accepted penalties. Can you at least acknowledge that the entire team... didn't come to play?
  16. Sure Then Dareus = Dareus and sammy = Sammy it's legit not possible to expect more from a player after a really bad year?
  17. How about the Oakland game - Watkins back from injury on limited snaps... Goodwin, Hunter, lewis, tate. Oh and O'leary and Gerald Christian at TE.
  18. No i just don't like arguing with you because you're an ass. But if you insist Assuming people remain relatively healthy Dareus is back at 100% and plays well. He was suspended and injured for much of the year. Hughes was injured for much of the year and played through it. Lawson missed camp and wasn't a great fit for the 2016 defense. Ragland comes back and provides at the very least, adequate ability. White - downgrade from Gilmore. Hyde - even if he's a downgrade from williams... he actually plays meaningful snaps. Same with Poyer. We had Ihedigbo and duke williams taking meaningful snaps last season on defense. On offense: We still have mills - so even if dawkins doesnt start its at the very least a wash. Wood missed time as did glenn. Watkins healthy would be a huge upgrade over what we had last season. Woods is better than anyone we signed. Behind woods were goodwin/street fa's. But Watkins missed a ton of time and wasn't dynamic in many of the games he did play in. RB is still shady, and i guess is a minus with teh loss of gillislee. But i'm not paying a backup RB that much money no matter what. I don't think we're dramatically worse, and people overreact to the schedule every year. That is my opinion.
  19. I'm done arguing with you on this guy - its easier to just ignore you.
  20. Theyre not coached by an idiot... We had league worst safeties a year ago - i don't see how our LBs are worse than last year, or how you can possibly say our WRs are worse than a year ago.
  21. I guess i see where you're coming from. But if you think you're close this year... don't you pull the trigger and add a player who can help get you over the top? Especially if it allows you to dump a holmes and try and re-coup a relatively high comp pick. Basically can function as buying a 3rd round pick.
  22. To be fair - im just echoing the sentiments of what i hear on the board. The sarcasm didn't come across I guess. I liked our last 2 drafts and think you can win with Tyrod. Therefore I am stupid apparently. I think Marcel can turn it around, and think we were 7-9 with some of the worst coaching in the league.
  23. Why is the future bright? I don't think I understand. We didn't pick up the 5th year on the WR we gave up 2 firsts for. The last draft yielded an injured lineman who looked slow, a linebacker who supposedly can't cover, and a lineman who apparently gets pushed around. We have an overpaid DT who eats our whole cap (literally), and a 30+ year old running back. Our draft this year yielded a CB who is worse than the guy hes replacing, a WR who projects as a #2, and a Right tackle. We don't have a QB and we have an old overpaid roster. If Buffalo made the playoffs and Tyrod/the offense had similar numbers to last year. Would you still replace him?
