Didn't tyrod average more than 200 yards passing the last 2 seasons? It's not like he's like.. far off this season either. Alex smith's last 2 years in SF he was averaging sub 200 yards passing. They were 19-5-1 in those games. Some coaches value taking care of the ball more than an extra 30 yards per game.

Beane says no moves expected

True - sometimes you just have to stand pat. Deadline deals don't always put you over the top. In fact, a lot of the time they don't. -

The following players are UFAs in 2018... Kyle williams Jordan Matthews Wright Tolbert Humber Leonard Johnson Cedric Thornton Preston Brown Jerel Worthy EJ Gaines I see 3 DTs, 2/3 of our starting LBs (the other one is 34), our starting and backup LCB, and our best WR. Assuming we bring back... some of them - we're still missing a lot of pieces, as well as looking at upgrading a bunch of other ones. They can also be used to move around the draft to get certain players. Or help us get a QB if that's a plan. -

You can't just trade boldin - it has to be to a team he wants to play for, otherwise he just stays retired. People probably are calling the bluff on henderson. They know we'll have to cut him from the 53 at some point and they can probably just claim him. What would you suggest we do, and at what price? -
Pryor Sr available for trade?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And they lost like every game. He had a crap load of targets and they were always losing. -
What went wrong in 2011?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think im more surprised that the 2011 team won 5 games looking at that roster... yikes. -
Mccoy needs a running mate
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not trading anything for a back this year. Tolbert's a UFA next year, and there will be affordable backup running backs. We can also address this in the draft - we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds, and i think 3 picks in rounds 4-7. -
Patriots trade Jimmy Garoppolo to SF
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair... garoppolo was drafted in the 2nd not the 5th, and they have a ton of space to tag or extend him. He also looked pretty good in his 2 starts. He gets tagged if he won't sign an extension. If they get cousins or draft someone they can always rescind the tag as well. -
Miami was the luckiest team in the NFL last year. There's not really an easy game left on their schedule either this year. 2 games against buffalo, NE, @KC, and @Car.. for a team who as of now is 2-3 on the road (including London) - and have been shut out twice, almost 3 times. If SD makes a very make-able FG as time expires, and mariota plays... they'd be what, 2-5?

If they like that McDermott kid they snagged (do we still have him) then it might make sense to move someone. We carry a bunch on the 53

Bills dominating turnover differential - BIG time
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Turnovers are largely a product of chance... you can't predict falling on fumbles, or where the ball will bounce However limiting turnovers on your own offense is something you can do. The year Carolina went 15-1 and went to the super bowl they were +20. Their offense still turned the ball over a fair amount that season, but they got an absurd number of takeaways. A year later, with regression towards the mean they ended up 7-9 and -2. Oakland last year was +16 and a playoff team, this season -6 and looking about cooked. There's really only a couple of teams that are like always near the top though. KC and NE - because both QBs don't throw picks, and the coaches preach ball security. I think if we continue to NOT turn it over, the turnover diff will still remain pretty positive which helps you stay in every game. -
Midseason draft needs
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BillsFan3434's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's hard to say - free agency occurs before the draft so we'll know what direction we're going with at QB at that point. I'll throw a pass rusher on there and it pretty much meshes with my thoughts. -
Steelers too scared to trade MB to Bills
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering they fired Blount, and hand-slapped Bell... goes to show that being good is still the most important thing. -
Potential Playoffs #1 Overall Seed
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Kmart128's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean... none of us are on the team. So i don't think it really matters what we talk about on a message board. -
So, 4-12 predictors...how's that working out?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean to be fair... none of us are on the team and therefore have little to no bearing on the teams performance the rest of the way. -
Sure theres some similarity especially regarding turnover diff, and some timely defensive tds early on... what I dont think will happen is see Tyrod throw like 20 picks in the last 9 games or start allowing like 150 yards rushing per game. What I see is a defense that tackles well and thrives on making plays both small and big. We would struggle with depth on offense, especially at rb and wr... I think the season is more likely derailed by injury than by it being a fluke.

Dareus traded to Jacksonville!

I prefer a real rebuild to trying to make it work with the wrong players. Isn’t that what Rex did? -
Dareus traded to Jacksonville!
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Impossible to cut. And he’s owed 10 million next year because his 2018 salary is guaranteed. Plus a roster bonus. He’ll be a free agent in 2019 -
They have the worst run game in the NFL. Sorry - 2nd worst. Could they beat us on any given sunday? Of course they can. But playoffs are gonna be tough... They struggle to move the ball and they're playing like 2 bad defenses the rest of the way in NE and OAK. NE and OAK can both put points up, and OAK is staying on the east coast to adjust to the time zone. I see 6-10, 7-9... Raiders Panthers Bucs Patriots Broncos Patriots BillS Chiefs Bills

This offseason Quarterback options
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Available QBs-- Cousins (probably too expensive) Brees (probably re-signs) Bradford (probably overpaid) Probably available -- Tyrod Glennon Hoyer Mccown I would personally take the Eagles approach to this... They signed Bradford and daniels... then still got the QB they wanted in Wentz... then got a pretty decent return for bradford. So for me it's keep Tyrod - just so as not to show your cards at the draft. It's very possible that a couple of teams picking near the top will have QBs be it cousins or the colts with luck - and we have a lot of ammo to move up and grab our guy if we want to.
