I hate Taylor Lewan. If they can wreck his day that would be great.

Collinsworth was almost impossible to listen to.

He made a whole thing about getting inside on their pads earlier in the night, then on the morse one he says "textbook hold". And michaels legit said - i don't know about thaaaat. The 2nd missed DPI on diggs too... "great coverage, he's having himself a game"... Michaels - looks like he pulled his arm a bit early -

If Brady keeps up the torrid pace he's on I'd probably throw it his way. Murray Stafford and Herbert have all had really hot starts too. At the end of the day, 5 games is 5 games. Last year he had the stats to back it up after 4 games and crashed to earth a bit facing some tougher defenses and adjustments. Injuries will happen along lines, and to skill positions etc. -
I don't think McD was happy with his twitter behavior before, but publicly calling out your own fans is an easy way to find your way to the dog house.

What did the chiefs do on defense?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
After their 4 man rush got thrashed, they crowded the LOS and blitzed. Buffalo got behind the sticks 3 times in a row in the 3rd quarter with some stuffed runs and misses on 2nd downs. They picked up the 1st on the RTP after the phantom hold, and after that used the backs and boundaries to get free yards. If you crowd the LOS then you're leaving the boundaries open and forcing your players to try and make more difficult tackles. I thought their defense got away with a couple of DPI's on diggs, and Dawkins got a penalty on the drive after the special teams FF that basically derailed it. Still... 430 yards, 31 points by the O, only 20 1st downs (but several really big plays). -
It's a long season. Need him focused on football, this is a step in the right direction.

There's a lot to it tho - i assume the stadium would probably end up where conway park is. Extend rail along the river to the stadium - then on gamedays you can run this back and forth from harbor center/sabres lots to the stadium. Probably rip down as much of the project housing as possible for parking or re-development. Riverworks would need to figure out a way to ferry people across to the stadium. Then beyond all of this you need to figure out how to get people in and out of downtown for a game. Access to route 5 or a skyway replacement. Then updated 190 entrances north and south so that its easier to get in and out. Where the 190 hits 90 is also a terribly designed exit so thats another bag of issues.

2nd on the team to Hills 186.... I'm interested to see how much they use gordon. Probably put him on the LOS so they can move hill/hardman around.

Gilliams flexibility helps with the Hollister loss. Gilliam plays teams, fullback, and TE. Seems to be a gamer too.

I've always tried to be patient with the guy. Even productive college TE's traditionally struggle to make a major impact in year 1. Knox barely touched the ball in college so I've been hoping it was more of a year 3 impact on a slower development curve. The guy's starting to make people notice him, which will only help the other pass catchers in the offense.

I'd probably argue that the blocked punt was the difference week 1. -
Why is the run game is so important?

Physical on both sides of the ball honestly. The defense needs to bring the pain. -

I feel like they were all sort of handled for the most part. None of those guys jumped out at me during the game. Star seemed to be doing work inside, oliver made some plays, hughes and addison were visibile. -
Shady showing that Buffalove

He was bad against pitt. mediocre against miami (4/5 TD drives were aided by good field position. Wash he destroyed, and played well in Houston. At the end of the day stats are nice and all - but you know nick wright doesn't actually watch the games. So why should I value his opinion? -

He's also thrown like 7 or 8 4th quarter passes over the last 3 weeks. Outside of the slippery ball issues early he had a pretty solid game against houston too. Didn't let it rattle him, and put the team in positions to score. The FGs are frustrating, but on the plus side - its early. You still don't know how defenses are going to defend you in the RZ, what looks you'll get, and how to counter. -
So what's the offensive game plan?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Little bit of balance, i like running because it gets the physical element in our favor at times. As for how to attack them in the pass game? Bunch them up, get guys in motion to get some free releases - expect them to play man and to be grabby. Buffalo's struggled more with zone coverage this year honestly though so if they're smart they'll do more of that and force allen to beat them more with his brain. -
So what is the Defensive Gameplan?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Straight Hucklebuck's topic in The Stadium Wall
Regular season - edmunds played all RPOs as passes. Probably shouldve changed it up based on the weather. Champ game - Sat in soft zones, couldn't tackle. They also couldn't get pressure. Tampa basically played zone in the super bowl, but tackled better and did get pressure. I'm personally content to play most of the game in zone. But they need to play very physical. Rough them up at the LOS. Disguise the zone concepts and man plays you sprinkle in. Front 4 has to get pressure, blitzing opens up passing lanes in their offense. -
I'd guess the interest is not mutual.

When your defense is ranked 32nd in the league through 4 weeks? You have to kinda look at everything.
-
Def an upgrade over dodson, probably klein as well. There's a bit of a diva there for a linebacker that I'm not sure fit's culturally though Perhaps this humbling experience will help him ditch that reputation. But it's as likely he signs with KC or something.
-
I think the big reason they lost was that their banged up offensive line couldn't even hold the tampa pass rush to stop them. They had no solution to vea and suh just wreaking havoc inside. Mahomes likes to cut up field on those or escape backwards (it seemed like tampa wanted him to move backwards)- he was pressured 37.5% of drop backs. Once he evades pressure and escapes to the side, illegal contact is no longer a penalty so you can play a lot tighter coverage in those situations. This is why buffalo went heavy with pass rush, and this is why KC went all in on offensive line. KC did have a number of defensive penalties called in the super bowl that they seemed to get away with in buffalo. Everyone was all up in arms about the mathieu penalty in the endzone - you can't call d-holding with the ball in the air therefore it's PI since he was the targeted receiver. They also lined up Offside on a FG and gave tampa 4 extra points... was that the ref's fault too?

I'm basically here. Pretty good chance his agent tells us to pound sand anyway.

I'd doubt it as well. I'd guess Dallas. They have a big need across from Diggs.
