Chiefs v Broncos (Eagles v Cowboys page 23)
billybrew1 replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I don't think it is that big of a deal for the Bills to move up one or two spots, it is nice the see the chefs look very beatable. Had we a shot at the bye-week still I'd be super excited. The Bills haven't had to travel since NE so maybe they're getting good rest in that way. Maybe if we rise to the #2 seed and we only need to travel vs. the #1, maybe that would give us the rest we would need to beat Tennesee in Tennessee? The Titans are going to be super tough to beat at home after getting all that rest. It might be time for another Tennessee miracle? That Buffalo- Tennessee history is going to go for a third collision. Watch..... -

Redzone execution = Superbowl for this team...
billybrew1 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course, I agree with you but it is kind of like saying, if we score more TDs than the opposition we will win. Not quite but it is kind of similar..... and yes, of course, we will have to be good in the red-zone, we will have to be good everywhere.....limit mistakes. Go Bills! -
Liking the RAMS best by far..... Largely becuz I live near LA but it probably would be them anyway.... Go Rams! Looking forward to watching all the playoffs but worried I'll lose interest if the Bills get knocked-out.... Playoffs are so awesome if your team is in it. Hockey too but that is just a vague memory at this point. Go Sabres! Go Bills!

And I suspect this is why the Bills struggle with lesser teams at times. We are trying to get that W as easily as possible...Sometimes it just doesn't work out. Teams can't play, "all-out" week to week and that's why that Bye is so darn important.

How confident are you about the Bills going into the playoffs?
billybrew1 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup, football has always been known as the great one on one sport. -
But teams are really close sometimes and we're more or less built to win by passing the football and the winds at the Ralph put a wrench in the works.

Josh - 16 games 2020 vs 2021 stats
billybrew1 replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty good logic, I like it. Josh truly is a franchise QB and anybody that really watches the Bills knows this. Still, I'd like to know how Atlanta shut-down our pass game. Do they have a very good secondary? Or what happened? Miami has a great secondary yet Josh eats fish for breakfast regularly.... And as an early 2022 prediction, I say the Bills sweep the East again! ( I have said this two years-in-a-row, now three. With Josh we're just the best the East has to offer. Go Bills! -
Josh - 16 games 2020 vs 2021 stats

Why? -
The Bills also have employed a sixth OL 20% of the time and played Davis over Sanders and Davis is a much better blocker, and finally they utilized the FB more the last two weeks so it isn't as cut and dry as it seems. But yeah, the OL has looked better overall the last two weeks than they have all season.
-
It's not a player but a line;the offensive line to be precise. We saw last week what happens when Allen gets some suitable protection,I'm hoping from here on out the line comes up big for even giving Devin Singletary some creases.. Singletary who had a monster game himself (even though the stats were not very impressive) showed what we look like with competent play there. The Bil"s are an offensive juggernaut and must remain that way from here on out. Go Bills!

No QB ever needed no one; ever. It's a eleven man, team game and for any QB to look good he has to have a good team around him. We just witnessed that in full against NE as the OL finally gave Josh some time and we all saw what he can do if given time. His receivers got open, hustled their asses off and made plays. Singletary ran vey hard in this game. A QB needs a very good OC in most cases as well.... It's the ultimate team game.

A Few Thoughts about the Cheatriots Game, in no particular order
billybrew1 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
An interesting thing about the game was that Klein only played 30% and our DTs totaled 89% snaps (I think it was 89? Maybe even 81%) but we went with three ends some. That's why NE got so many yards running. Yes, Tremaine overran again, but we played a small D a lot.... I find that fascinating.....We sort of conceded the run game.... LOL, IDK, I might have gone big, at least played a 4*3.... Was the whole idea to confuse Jones? Or did NE play mostly three-wide? LOL, I wonder? -

I too thought the OL was the biggest story of the game. Yes, JA was clearly the best player by far.... But Josh has struggled a lot this year and it is because he hasn't had much time at all to throw.... Now we see what Allen can do with some pass blocking... How the makeshift OL rose to the occasion against a good D on the road is beyond me.... Go Bills! -

8. You give the hoodie too much credit. He sought Josh out to show everyone that it took a QB playing great to beat him. Everything is all about Belicheat to Belicheat, remember that and you've got him down. -
How the Bills coaches got that OL to block Belicheat's one-billion dollar defensive line is a miracle. It's like McD took guys off the street and kicked Belicheat's ass. Remarkable. Belicheat must be all washed-up?
-
How is McD doing the last two seasons?
-
The difference maker by far, the biggest story in the whole game, was that the offensive protected Allen. This is what was different from most Bills games this year and they did it with a makeshift line against a top defense. You give Allen time and he will destroy you. Should we play NE again, expect a different type of D. I expect NE to really come after Allen, see if we can beat them that way. Allen really matured yesterday, taking those short passes, now DCs have to figure a new way to stop Allen. Go Bills!

GMFB Love after a “statement” 😉 Win
billybrew1 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
How many of us are just as guilty? I didn't count the Bills out, because I thought NE was suspect mainly, but I was exactly endorsing a Bills victory either. The story of the game was that the OL looked good. Just how they accomplished this feat is anyones guess but protecting Allen alluded our OL most of the year..... Give Allen time and we can beat anyone. Like many are saying, we put 33 up and had two TDs dropped.... Go Bills! -
This is what they are saying in New England Land
billybrew1 replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall
The OL was the story of the game. Allen was fantastic, yes, but like you said, protect him, now we're talking offense. -
Man alive, I can't Billieve we hired a TE coach to be OC and we have only one realTE. What's up with that? Man, I'll be pissed if we don't make headway at that TEposition this offseason. What a crappy job.

Not everyone thinks the Bills will lose Sunday
billybrew1 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is so hard to Billieve though, that with Hughes, Star, Addison, Sanders and others coming off the books, we don't have a huge sum to rebuild with this offseason. It's mystifying to me.... So depressing.... -
Sanders can play the slot, so can McKenzie. Not 5he same as having Beasley but at least we have adequate back ups. There's Not many places we have adequate back ups, so it could be much worse. Davis - Sanders - Knox - Diggs ain't a bad foursome. If Singletary can play like a starting NFL back we should be OK. We have to play well in all three phases to win this one, We gotta be a good team. We do that, I think we win. Any talk about OL yet? About Dawkins and Feliciano? IMHO, we need both. It's not like they are a great line all of a sudden, they need work together first, but it's still the best combo we have and they give us a chance I think. Maybe Allen feels more comfortable if Dawkins and Feliciano play? He should, I would. It's a lot better than what we ran last week for sure.
