  1. Oh yeah you're right. ...so they pick one game to study and...go! 😅 I dunno I'm always thinking these people are all like football savants, but they seem to just be regular dudes that have been around the sport for a while. At the end of the day there's only so much time in a week to prepare. To be fair Carroll may have been joking a bit.
  2. To be fair, Pete Carroll got his defense prepared to stop the run against us last year. I have no idea what some of these coaches think.
  3. I'm truly confused to be a Bills fan right now.
  4. The thing is, this IS a high percentage play against that defense. It forces the LB to cover a lot of ground fast, and he usually has to navigate traffic to get there. We've run this play on multiple 3rd/4th and shorts in different packages (Beasley, Diggs, and I think Brown) with 100% success. I agree with your skepticism about getting open against a goal line defense with all those great WRs, but the package was Singletary in the slot, and he effed it up. Sometimes Daboll likes to send FBs out on 9 routes 🤷 ...but the play and route are great for that situation. It's really pretty cool. Some could look at a run against bad teams and say it doesn't really mean anything, but it's the WAY we beat these teams. Like last year we ripped off that huge win streak at the end of the year and really just used the time to show multiple looks and tweak things. What I really enjoy is when there's nothing special or flukey about our blowouts. We really just straight up outplay the other team. Like you said- not a super exciting defense- just our defense, playing their typical bend but don't break game, and still smothering WFT. I think those blowouts are so much more impressive than back when we'd start out on win streaks during the drought through a series of smoke, mirrors, improbable defensive turnovers, and catching everyone on a bad day.
  5. Right. I mean that if they don't win that game they're in a bad hole. We'd likely be .500 if we lost.
  6. When we play the chiefs THEY'LL be the ones needing that game. Funny to think about.
  7. I needed him out of his slump, not to have 3 TDs and 250 yards in a HALF. ...that's just how he does though. 😅
  8. Considering your latest inquiries? I'd say it's more about what he doesn't have that you do... Owl bound!!
  9. Is this before or after the test? Oh and Josh Allen gets right this game. The combination of his angst over crappy film the past two weeks and realizing the defense is really good so he doesn't have to press will help him fix himself.
  10. TWSS sitting here trying to cheat an HIV screening. Nothing to see here.
  11. It might not be the key to fixing the offensive issues, but it certainly explains them. The article specifically mentions two things: 1) Allen is demonstrating happy feet, and drifting to his left, while falling off throws. 2) The right tackle is the lowest graded player on the team. #2 PERFECTLY explains #1. Now, #2 isn't the key to fixing the issues. You can't expect to have perfect protection on every play. Josh has to settle down, and set and throw when he has the room to do so. Yeah. This.
  12. I'm now extremely curious about your classmates.
  13. This was a thread way back in the offseason because there were a lot of bojo fans who wanted an explanation for his release. The explanation was: "Bojo didn't want to be here and he sucks at hang time/direction kicks." ...the other side of the argument, however, was that Haack is notoriously slow on the release of his kicks, and that leads to him getting a lot of them blocked. Someone in the thread pulled up some stats that showed that Bojo actually had a higher percentage of blocked kicks than Haack in his career. So the actual issue here is, we have bad historical numbers, or the Bills have to schematically do something different up front to give Haack more time.
  14. This I completely agree with. He's not losing his mind or anything. He's simply not setting his feet, and I think it's because he's hearing footsteps.
  15. I agree. He seems to be perfectly willing to go for it when he thinks it'll really put things away. One thing I hope we do from now on, though, is realize that that you absolutely need a yard, you put the ball in the best player on the field's hands. Always. We should never go for it on 4th and 1, in a crucial moment, and take the ball out of Josh's hands.
  16. I think Pittsburgh will work themselves out of the race. What matters to us will likely be the Chiefs loss. And yeah, the Jets should've kept Darnold (although I'm not sure how high his ceiling is), and I expect the Panthers to be right back in it this year. ...pretty sure we sweep again, unless Allen doesn't break out of his slump, but I think he will.
  17. When he came zipping out the back side of the defense, I thought, "wait. Is that Breida? Maybe Moss with some fresh legs?" Wow. Devin got fast.
  18. Agreed on all counts. The great thing is Diggs isn't frustrated with him at all. He's been really supportive, it seems.
  19. We're in good shape in the standings after yesterday. So we can take a little time to figure it out like Sean likes to do.
  20. I think Josh needs the reps. He's in a funk and needs to work some stuff out.
  21. Game recognize game. @MR8 was literally just hitting on me on Sunday.
