Maybe we can find JP and try him too! I'll bet we could get him even cheaper than Trent. I may be mistaken, but Gailey spent a LOT of time on Trent, and fired him because HE COULD NOT DO THE JOB.

RachaCha is 15th worst city in U.S. for finding a job
rockpile replied to BuffaloBill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I grew up in Hamburg, so Buffalo is my roots. Whenever I could I spent my holidays and summers at Silver Lake because the burbs were boring. When I was 17, I moved to Silver Lake because my father lost his job and was being transferred south. I have lived in Rochester since 1980. Between Rochester and Buffalo I like living in Rochester better, BUT I do not see it as a better city than Buffalo. I also do not know people who feel they are more sophisticated than "Buffalonians". I know people who feel Rochester was more "technology' based (Kodak Xerox, Bausch) as opposed to Buffalo (Bethlehem Steel, Ford Stamping Plant), but that is irrelevant today. Buffalo did have a worse rap for being dirty with blast furnaces and the Love Canal, but that got more national press than the equivalent poisons from Rochester plants, like Genesee beer!. I can say that the Rochester job market absolutely sucks for this unemployed 50 something male. Anyway, I am just rambling so ask Jay, since he lives in Pittsford which is like Paasville. They are better than all of us!. -
At least Johnson did not pull a Ronnie Harmon. There is another thread with a link to his post game news conference and he said he had the game in his hands in OT and dropped it. He had no excuses and said it was something he would never forget. I am referring to the pass that hit him in the numbers in the end zone. The other pass, he reached for and tipped up. Had he been there alone he may have caught it on the rebound, but other hands were waiting. I believe he may play a bit more seriously now. His teammates are telling him to shake it off but that is easier said than done. Go Bills!

I agree, but only on the condition that they actually turn it around.! We will not know for a year or two if this is all just another cluster.

Why does Chan never run the ball in OT

I will politely disagree. I cannot conceive of a head coach who does not have winning as the #1 priority. Plus, Fitz has tons of opportunity to show his reaction to pressure: four losses by three points each - two in OT. He has game, close but no cigar. The blatant drops are not on Fitz. -

Google maps fun...but hurry before they shut it down

When I googled my daughters phone number, I was linked to google maps and the street view included HER checking her road-side mailbox! kinda creepy... -
I officially apologize to Fitz and the Buffalo Bills. I threw Fitz under the bus in the second quarter, but he found a way (with his team) to turn it around. I do not think he is the "savior" but he is better than I thought. No. I did not turn off the game, as some accused the other old timer of doing , I watched every minute of the game.

Here's to the next 50!

Maybe people will stop saying the Bills do not need a QB! maybe

Now this is bad stadium behavior, not in Buffalo
rockpile replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at a Yankess/Twins game in NY city. The Twins were winning and the game was a real snoozer. So this guy in a row in front of me stands up and starts asking if anyone is a Red Sox fan. When the Sox fans spoke up, he was flipping them the bird and actually went after a few - intending to fight them. A few of them were coming down to get into it. That was my opportunity to take a walk and report it to security. There was enough see from other perspectives, that we did not go back to our seats. Regardless of this person's "team" he was a sick puppy. There are plenty of bars surrounding Yankee Stadium and a few parking lots where fans were tailgating. If you have lots of cash, there is a TON of beer to be had inside the stadium too. Do not blame this on *huge* tailgates or football, blame it on individuals who cannot control themselves. -

1. Get the kid to safety 2. Call police 3. Have the bastard arrested. Was this person in a VACUUM? No one said anything to a drunk who attacks a child? No one else had a cell phone to call security? I find it hard to believe that the only option available was to leave the lot, go to a hospital or doctor, and call a newspaper instead of the police?? I know the macho (and parental) instinct is to kick ass, but remember - it's the one who throws the second punch who usually draws the flag. P.S. I have four children (but they are big now) -
Maybe if his defensive linemen ran TO the play, or even slowed things down better, Poz would not find himself tackling RBs with a full head of steam, or chasing wide receivers who are not getting bumped at the line. Just a thought.

I understand your frustration, zonabb, but who chooses the top 100-150 posters? Since this is a public forum, with rules and moderators and banishment, as a last resort, the best thing I have learned to do is just ignore the idiots. They THRIVE on ticking you off anyway. After a while, it is background noise if you do not let it bother you. Yahoo and others have ways to set up your own invitation only groups, if you need to go that route. I prefer to 'separate the wheat from the chaff' myself right here! Never let someone's poor attitude spoil yours.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thanks!" to all the volunteers who moderate this chaotic group of forums. A tip of the "Hatlo Hat" to you all.

These kids need to be shot on sight

I understand the legal end of what these asses are saying. If anything he should have talked to the parents. . I wonder if this clown travels around town collecting tax id numbers from old ladies having garage sales. If I was the boys, all my leftover cupcakes and mix would find their way into his gas tank! (but I was a bad boy) -
Yes, you are! LMAO at all the people who complain - about winning! I will simply enjoy this evening.

If you are within the blackout range (I am on the outer edge of the 75 miles) games are blacked out for me WITH the NFL ticket, right? Money and time only allow me to get to one or two games a year, but I go every year.
-
I have RR and it worked fine until the NFL gods shut it down for the second half. I can't complain, them are the rules.

working for me too.

What about the Spiller and Edwards fumbles? Not putting Fitz on any pedestal - but spread the blame around a little.

Need Help - In Town for the Lions Game

Lot One Pole Five has been the traditional Two Bills Drive gathering place. Ken and the Pinto are close to there. The No Fun League patrol made Ken tone down his tailgate. Other than banning the bowling ball shots, I am not sure what else has changed. "Gates" open earlier at Hammer's Lot on Abbott Road. If you search forums, you will find a zillion suggestions on what to do in Buffalo.
