If Atlanta loses this game - I think he's gone. Marrone is another I could see getting fired during the season.

The level of quarterbacking in the league...
White Linen replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL is a copy cat league and right now most teams are trying to throw the ball a lot. Something will change to throw defenses off. I don't know if it's straight run game increasing. Kind of like when all the rage was to have tall receivers - so tall corners started being brought in. Then smaller receivers so that the taller receivers weren't quick enough. I think a road grading offensive line and a big RB would be something I'd like to see. -
Yeah, I think I heard them say for the remainder of the year they're going with Rosen.

Washington Redskins at Miami Dolphins 1 pm FOX

Another embarrassing attendance for the Dolphins. -
They are now a dime for a bakers dozen.

I find this to be an interesting subject. Would you say Nashville had an affiliation with an NFL team prior to getting one of their own? I live in Charlotte - which is also an entrenched city towards college sports. However the NFL was poplular too with many Redskin fans and some Falcons fans, mostly, IMO. So the transition to a home NFL team was easy for the natives. Then they had some transplants change from their home/born team to the Panthers and a bit of casual fans that participated. It took some time to get the numbers needed but I'd say at this point Charlotte, surrounding cities and even cities hours away have made it a decently strong following. It won't work everywhere so I'm curious what you're seeing there?

Was Josh Allen faster last season ?
White Linen replied to bills11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I find this all very strange. Usually NFL defenses don't make adjustments to a young QB learning to throw but has the ability to run. -

He's lost a step, I can tell. It happens to every 23 year old. -
Do you think every other team whiffed or just us?

Just how dominant is this Buffalo Bills defense?
White Linen replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's awfully stingy and no fun to play against. They don't let offenses do much. I think they're an excellent mix of scheme, toughness and play for each other. -
Zac Taylor on A.J. Green: 'We are not trading that guy'
White Linen replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's been reported the the FO feels this is the year to take a step and next year is when they expect to contend for the super bowl. AJ Green is the type of receiver, IMO, that fits nicely in that philosophy. -

You're confusing half of a used hotdog with half a hotdog. -
Very interesting - thanks for sharing.

6 takeaways from the Bills' decision to trade Zay Jones
White Linen replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's say Zay does finally have a "real QB" - that real QB loses because he gets Zay. If he thinks he had it tough here, wait until Gruden starts screaming at him. -
Do you still hate Bon Jovi music?

What he's accomplished is truly impressive. He's also a pretty excellent family man by all accounts. He was going to move our team and it still bothers me. -
There Always Seems to Be One Bill Everybody Hates on Annually

It's actually not ridiculous when the poster (me) just has a different thought. I never once said the contract is stopping the team from doing anything - you added that. In fact, I more than once said his contract isn't. I'm not sure why you keep doing that. Saying the only posters that can comment about a players contract are those that are paying the salary, is in fact ridiculous. -

100% agree And we discuss these things. I do think that in the near future these things do become more important. The cap space will certainly close as we have several really good football players to pay. We chose to pay Star upfront and amortize his cap hit, so it's a problem. Not life threatening or we can't afford to do anything now or that I'm so worried about it that it's all I think about. (not that you said any of that) -

Oh come off it. So if you complain about the Bills - and you do - you have to be paying the players salary? Pretty ridiculous comment. -

What does how much cap space have to do with it. A bad contract is a bad contract. Do all bad financial decision have to lead to ruin? -

No he sucks. At 26 mil for the last 2 season, he really really sucks. That's just it, he hasn't been a part of the #2 overall rush D. He isn't contributing enough. His terrible contract may cause us to have to let Phillips go in free agency. You happy with that? Significant deal, that's for certain. "Not that big of a deal" - is crazy talk. -

For me this is real easy and he should be hated. Not in a personal sense but football only. Star Lotulelei has 3 tackles. I made my case last year that he was awful - when at least a lot of posters thought he was playing well. He's a mistake. -
