We need help on the pass rush, IMO, but he's not the kind of rusher I think we need. I'd pass.

He's maturing right before our eyes. A couple of those throws, if dropped, would have been labeled inaccurate. We're starting to see how critical it was for our FO to bring in NFL receivers. Most of the time his hitting those guys perfectly. What I like most is he's clearly not throwing the ball his hardest - which is something I thought he did too much as a rookie. He's really developing a nice feel for how hard the ball needs to be on a particular route/play. Then only when he needs to, he lets it rip.

I think you nailed it with this post. NFL football is an alarmingly rough sport. It's not for everyone - even those that have had excellent college careers. Look at the injuries some of these players are going through. Siemian got blasted and folded up like a suitcase. It looks like the physicality of the game isn't worth it to Zay. I think that's the genesis of his drops.

He's had a pretty long history with weight gain. Just throwing it out there, that could be a reason.

I wouldn't mind if McD starting taking a peak at the Patriots film this week and started mentally preparing a game plan.

We're an overly emotional fanbase. Some of that is what makes us great and some of it is our downfall. This thread start is the latter. Why does hope matter? We're 2-0 and we beat two teams in the bottom half. The first was ugly, the second was better but both should have been by much wider margins. Good news is we're not losing to inferior teams. The concern is, we have a lot of work to do to compete with the better half of teams.

I think the Patriots are going to look back on this time of epic winning and wish they did it differently.

Need to give Shurmur a little bit of a reprieve. They just got throttled and I'm sure his head is pretty messed up.

This is one of those situations where it's a bad call. I think most would guess the ball had to be out, but because there's no video evidence a bad call has to stand.

I didn't start the thread. What are you talking about? In fact I refuted emotion when someone inferred to "relax". I said "no one is panicking" - I spoke for everyone and should have left you out of that.

I don't think anyone is panicking but you'd think not having it ready for the NFL season is a missed opportunity.
