I think it's possible that it's style over substance. McCoy needs a good amount of carries. He'll have a couple bad ones and a couple good ones - especially at this point in his career. He doesn't fill the role of back up and is skill set isn't conducive to getting some carries.
We all agree that the offensive line was a mess last year but I think some of the issues with McCoy were losing some of that elusiveness and in small part a lack of effort. He didn't want to get pounded and that was the type of back needed last year. FF to this year and he's possibly not a fit.
I don't think someone should have to read through 17 pages to see if their thought has already been expressed.
He wasn't looking for an answer. He just made a statement.
I find that most players coming back after significant time away from football need some time. I don't think he'd be someone to worry about too much in our game.
Someone in the media stated that Beane see's next year as "the year". It sure seems like they are putting themselves in position to do something significant around the draft and we still have a healthy amount of money next season to spend. I can buy into that theory.
No man, I understand what you're saying. Just there's an additional benefit to us in that trade. That could change, of course, if Teller turns out to be good.
That's not what just happened. In the scenario above you need to add they let us draft their 5th round pick and decide if we want him or not for a year. Pretty significant difference.
I just don't see any possible way we would trade Barkley. They would never offer a high enough pick and we don't have another option on the roster to fill the role.
We aren't disrupting our sound situation.
I think this is completely plausible. The question I had is, why is he there with the team if he already told the FO he's quitting? They got busted trying to withhold it from the fans.
No head coach would let a player who just quit be mingling with ex teammates during a game without a reason.
Obviously not similar in terms of what the player did for the organization but if Vontae Davis came back out in Bills attire and it broke he quit ......
They weren't booing because they don't appreciate what Luck meant - they boo'd because he shouldn't be out there.
