  1. What's going to be interesting is to see how they spend next year. They have to be careful not to sign lengthy contracts that will be needed for Allen in 3 years that will likely be north of $40 mil per.
  2. And if Kroft did too. Oh my - then we'd really be singing Zay's praises.
  3. I wan't trying to come off that way - I honestly didn't realize he was still comparing him to Edelman in response to 80/700 being boring.
  4. Oh sorry, I didn't realize you already made him Edelman by comparing your projected numbers. You do know he's likely to not play the same WR position, right?
  5. Boring numbers for a 3rd year player if you're hoping for him to be really good and get a second contract.
  6. Touchdowns are good but it's sad that we think 70/800 is good enough.
  7. Just head scratching what these young men do sometimes.
  8. It's not always about opinion at some point - I said he needed to leave and he in fact left. You have issue with taking facts and trying to build an understanding of why things happen and then opinions come from that. Some fans think his last two interviews were the final straw and those are trade able words he used. Some don't think so - fine there's the debate. I happen to agree that he needed, should, had to, possibly might need to go. Others listen to what he said and appreciate his honesty and all kinds of other reasons.
  9. He did see like a fantastic owner and person. My Nana (grandmother) also had the same disease. It was certainly rough as we seemed to fade in and out of her ability to recognize us. I don't know about the worst way to die but it's cruel. The lasting memory of I have of her was I went to visit and she said "Oh (used my name), you're on this cruise too?" The next day she passed. I suppose that's not such a bad ending to a terrible disease - to think you're on a cruise.
  10. I never said that it was his fault. Go back and read my post again. He played excellent for us but the hard times proved to be too hard for him to handle. He needed to leave because the leadership role wore him down to the point he lost his love of the game during the season.
  11. ROR couldn't handle the responsibility of being a leader on a team that needed to grow. It caused him to lose his love for the game at times during the season. He was also insanely jealous of Eichel and didn't want to sit in the back seat. ROR is a petulant child that showed his true character in Buffalo. He's soft and quits when the going gets tough. He needed a place like St. Louis where his faults weren't needed.
  12. Sorry about the other night when I lost my temper.  There's a couple guys that just know how to get under my skin.  You're such a nice person and I know you take enjoyment in the shoutbox and I just feel bad that I may have ruined that for a time for you.

No apology necessary.  To be honest I don't remember the situation. I do enjoy everyone in the Shout Box however if it's not trending well I just check back later. Sometimes I'll try to change the atmosphere by mentioning my infamous vanilla vodka ? or something else.

I am glad you don't remember because i'm happy it didn't ruin anything for you.  We've interacted a few times but we don't know each other well.  I do however read more than I post and you are just a kind person.  I wish I could be more like you in terms of just checking back later.  I'm going to try that.  Have a great morning!

  13. I was just saying he is that level of an athlete.
  14. This is going to be interesting. Obviously there's rules that need to be followed but if I'm Nick Caserio, I'd be upset if they tried to block me from an opportunity.
  15. My issue is his greatest opportunity was last year and he let it slip away. I hoped he would be a Jarvis Landry type - where he's on a team with limited QB play but is just so good he still gets his. What I really like about Beane so far is he doesn't wait around for you. In years past we'd just hope on top of hope until there wasn't anymore with a player. Now it's perform or we bring others in that will. I don't think Zay is being written off or that we should but he's got a much harder road now. Now he's got to find a way to get the ball with Cole, Brown and Foster.
  16. This is just incredible content. This organization seems as stable as I've seen it in my lifetime.
  17. I'm struggling with this and maybe it's because of the word pressure. I just get that feeling that's not a word associated with anyone because I don't think that's the culture. I think there's a ton of competition in a lot of areas and the players know this - it's obvious. If there's a group I'm concerned about the most it's the TE's. I liked the Kroft signing more than most but him being sidelined is some really bad timing. I guess it's about a 6-8 week process to get him back and that will leave him with just a few weeks before the first pre-season game.
  18. I think it's pretty simple. The confidence he had in college didn't come over to the NFL. There's something just wrong with how he catches the ball. Not every time but a lot. He double clutches, has to catch the ball twice to secure it and sometimes has to trap the ball in his body and go down. He doesn't ***** the ball out of the air consistantly and then head up field. There's a delay - that to me looks like lack of confidence. He's frustrated me as much as any player the last decade. Good news is our FO isn't waiting around for any player. Competition will either make a player better or they'll get passed by.
  19. I don't see Zay taking another step. He's not going to get near the playing time and opportunities. He has to contend now with 2 NFL experienced receivers, an emerging Foster and the others trying to make the team. He had his chance to take control of a starting WR position and did not seize the opportunity. He may still but it's going to be much harder. If he does, we'll surely know he's legit then.
  20. She really has no reason to lie. She also seems like a really pragmatic young lady. I mean she returned to the apartment twice after once getting shoved against the door and slapped and a second time after a door hitting her in the head - all in an effort not to waste tax payer dollars by calling the police. She feared this guy big time. It really sounds like she didn't do anything wrong and tried to deescalate the situation.
  21. Allen's change of shotgun footwork didn't come from Daboll. So the connection that Daboll learned it from Brady and hmm now Allen is doing isn't how I heard it. Allen says Brady sometimes has right foot back then sometimes left foot back - he went with what's comfortable for him.
  22. No, it's just the opposite. They aren't selling hope.
