  1. Not having Gronk really hurt them and they probably did not use Hernandez well enough. Kudos to the Ravens defense for keeping it tight and hitting Brady hard every time. It definitely affected his rhythm.
  2. The Baltimore Management must be really kicking themselves hard....Flacco is going to make some real big money. He had an outstanding game....If not for Lee Evans, that would have been back-to-back trips to the Superbowl
  3. Why are the Ravens celebrating prematurely...There is still 2.05 to go and Ball in Brady's hands.
  4. Just 40 seconds off the clock on those 3 plays and one was a sack... Baltimore outsmarting itself. Good Field position for the Patriots
  5. The comparison was between Fitz and TJ. Between the two, the talent level is no different. However, the cost is significantly different.
  6. +1. I am on the Barley bandwagon. Unfortunately, I think this draft doesn't really have blue chip players at most of the positions.
  7. How many QBs has Andy turned into SB Champions - ZERO. McNabb was drafted in the top of the 1st round Andy Reid has had the same dubious record as Nix does with QBs.
  8. +1. However I don't think we will spend another 8-10M at the WR position, especially when we don't have a QB. The only incumbent WRs that we should take to camp should be SJ, Nelson and Graham.
  9. We really need to stop taking these ONE Year wonders. Patterson may have a great NFL career, but this Bills regime cannot start off on the wrong foot....They need a as sure pick as they can get. The Bills either pick a QB or stay put and a pick a LB or OL
  10. May be he really wants to be a HC and not dictate how to run the offense or defense. And when there is a really good one available in the market, why not make use of him. Norv doesn't believe in gadget plays and simply runs a power-offense. I believe the Browns have the right personnel on the OL to run such an offense and when you have a RB like Richardson, it is the most ideal fit considering what Turner has done with Smith, Ricky Williams etc.
  11. One difference though...Fitz would cost us 7.5M in actual cash next year (3M roster bonus and 4.5M in Salary). However, if Tavaris is simply given a chance to compete for a job, may be he re-signs for the same 2-3M for this year with incentives. At least you are getting a slightly cheaper QB.
  12. We got 2 out of 4. Now to get the QB and the LB.
  13. The difference was that we paid him somewhere between 1.7 to 2.5M, something you don't do when you draft a guy in the 6th round. And I think it is a big difference.
  14. And paid him somewhere between 1.7M to 2.5M to do just that :wallbash: Nix deserves to be kicked out of this organization for what he did to the QB situation over the past three years.
  15. That would be the right thing, as I don't see any one going after him.
  16. http://stripehype.com/2013/01/17/afc-north-browns-hire-norv-turner-finalize-coaching-staff/ Good move. Norv has some good toys to play with. Look for Richardson to have a career year. It also keeps Norv away from the NY Jets.
  17. Another former Steeler OC. I feel bad for Ray. May be he gets the DC gig in Philadelphia or Jacksonville.
  18. Chandler is our starting TE and has done very well. Choice is also a decent 3rd string back who can play. I think both of them stay. Fitz - I would love to send him packing. But I think Doug will keep him because there is no options in FA that is a world better than him My cuts would be : WILSON - He sucks at SS. Not sure where Troupe fits in on this DL. Spencer Johnson also may be cut as he may not fit the scheme.
  19. I definitely think the Bills will go after a veteran LB in Free Agency. I wish there would be some team that dumps a good player like we did with Fletcher six seasons ago and he is still playing and even making the Pro Bowl.
  20. Or the tenure of Flutie. For some reason, the Bills players responded to Flutie much better than Rob Johnson.
  21. Why ? I think Marrone has assembled a good defensive staff who were former coaches with the NY Jets. They have been a big proponent of an Attacking defense and I am excited for that. With regards to the Offense, Marrone went with familiarity. I don't see any problem with that. It happens in real life for almost everyone of us. The problem is that many folks on this board and Sullivan want the "Known" names to be hired as coaches. People would be happy if Frank Reich and Alex Van Pelt had been hired as WR and QB coaches and also retained the special teams coordinator. I agree that the new ST coach does not spell confidence considering that his unit allowed a KR/PR for TDs in back to back games. Other than that, I don't see anything wrong here.
  22. And I am yet to see that desire to win in Buffalo since Flutie was booted out of Orchard Park. I still remember the Joy in Bruce Smiths face, when Flutie ran and jump/hugged into the arms of Bruce Smith after a victory (I think it was the win against Jacksonville).
  23. Our pick is going to be Barkley.
  24. The thing is that even if we traded Lynch, we could have just done fine with Freddie and some later round draft choice. I am glad that we have an All-Pro in CJ Spiller in our team, but not addressing the QB situation is simply not acceptable.
  25. That fire, determination and motivation has to start from the top. Your body language goes only as much as what your HC does. Sadly we have not had that here in a long while.
